Customer service

Jesse was wonderful. He wasn’t pushy or overbearing. He listened to what we were looking for and made us comfortable. Xavier was very helpful in filing paperwork as well. Everyone was welcoming and seemed genuinely happy to have us there. We will definitely come back when it is time to buy the next car!

Oil change and maintenance

This was my first time to the Granger gates. Are usually go to Mishawaka on McKinley. I was a little disappointed I called ahead and they told me no one was waiting for a walk in oil change. And I got there I waited over two hours for this service. Could’ve been they were shortstaffed or someone called in or whatever, but nothing was said the whole two hours as to where working on it or it’ll be this long or whatever. I think some updates would have been helpful as opposed to just sitting there in waiting

Wonderful experience with Christian.

Christian was the most wonderful salesperson that we've ever worked with. He asked us, in detail, what we needed and listened carefully. Then he went out and found exactly what we were looking for! Overall, he was very professional, kind, and humble. A very charismatic person. I highly recommend seeking him out and working with him.

Horrible

I went in for a new car. I picked out the one I wanted but it was at a different dealership so we drove 40 min to pick it up. When we got there, he explained the seat was broken and that was the only thing wrong with the car. So we took it back to start the paperwork and they let me take it home that day but scheduled an appt to bring it in for the seat and a detail. After having the car for a couple days, I noticed things that made me question whether the car was inspected or not such as a flat tire, no wiper fluid and a hard pull to the right when driving over 40. So I took the car in for the flat tire and they treated me stupid, saying salt got into the beads and that’s it. But the salt can’t get in there without the beads being loose. I went back again on my appt and voiced my concerns and asked them to inspect the car because I didn’t trust the other dealership. He agreed to do so. I came back and got my car and when I got home I realized I STILL did not have washer fluid (and still a tough pull to the right). I took it upon myself to fill the washer fluid and discovered not only did they not clean my engine bay, I had no hood prop. This means NEITHER of the dealerships actually inspected my car. So, I called the dealership and the manager spoke to me and his words for my issues were... and I quote.... “I don’t mean to shift the blame but I wish you would have checked and said something before you left.” Somehow this became my fault because I didn’t check to make sure they did their job. I took it back once again and requested a FULL detail, a hood rod AND and inspection report stating the car is in good health. They agreed. I’m called back once again to pick my car up and when I get there my salesman was not even there. No one knew what inspection report I was asking for either. So, I didn’t get my inspection report like asked and I was treated like i had no clue what I was talking about and my requests and concerns were completely ignored.... but hey, at least my engine is clean right?!

Consumer response

Oh yes, I had been driving it for a month after bringing it back numerous times. It shouldn’t have taken a month to get what I asked for and I shouldn’t have to ask for anything as they should have been done in the first place. No thanks on an oil change. Don’t need another let down.

Awesome experience!

The entire Gates team(Jesse, Andy and Chris) were great people to work with! They were knowledgeable, friendly and made sure we were happy with our purchase! We will definitely return when we make another vehicle purchase!!!

My wife and I received excellent device from Alex. The car meets our needs and was a somewhat reasonable pfice. Alex is good at what he does.

Great experience

Chris and Jesse made my car buying experience good. I was very pleased with the car I chose to purchase. Chris had suggested it and he was right. I love my Accord.
