I was told on the phone they would honor the trade in as given by their website “value your car”, which basically was inline with KBB estimate.... I drove 40 minutes with my daughters to trade in my old Camry (original owner, good condition, no accidents, runs well, well maintained) for a new Camry. The sales person offered me a trade in value which was 60% below what their won website said was my car worth. I reminded him and his boss that I had called in before I visited them and their phone sales lady assured me that they would match or beat the value offered by their website. The sales manager had no real answer why they suddenly offered 60% less, and when I asked for more color, he hurled a couple of racial insults and walked away.
I called their internet sales for a quote on a new Camry LE and a trade in appraisal for my 11 year old Camry. I did receive a good quote for the new Camry... LE which I was happy with; for my trade in, they told me that I should input my car info into their own website page which would provide an estimate. That site, which I think uses KBB data, gave me an appraisal of $3,000 to $3,800. I called in again, and internet sales woman said the range accounts for the condition of the car and they usually try to beat the low end of the range. When I went to their dealership however, the sales manager said my car is worth $1,200. I was not happy, and called the internet sales right in front of him on speaker phone and was again told that they would match or beat what their own website says is my car value. The sales manager simply shrugged off and refused to provide any color on why they are nearly 60% below the quote from the website. When I persisted for an explanation, he simply called me a bunch of racial epithets and insults and walked off - right in front of my teen aged daughters. That same evening, I traded in my car at another area dealer of Toyota, received $3,000 trade in value, and purchased a new Camry LE. Not only is this dealer using false promises and deceit to bring customers in through the doors, but their disregard for the customer, and the disgusting manner in which they abuse customers is just shocking. I am planning to report them to BBB.
Went looking for a new truck and found exactly what I was looking for. Great selection and was larger than other dealers I visited. The salesman was... very knowledgeable and friendly with a great attitude. His manager (Scott) was very courteous and really went out of his way to find us the best deal for us and really understood our particular situation. Overall, extremely satisfied with the overall process from parking our car when we got there to signing the papers and getting the keys to our new truck.
Stopped by dealership today with a 2018 Tacoma, which was only 9 months old. Ended up being offered a great deal on a 2019 Camry XSE, with a few minutes... of arriving. Of course we accepted and drove away happy with a great vehicle. So, two vehicles from Toyota of Clermont in less than a year. Trust me, great dealership and overall outstanding service.
Ben greeted me at the door with a big smile. I was involved in an accident as someone rear-ended me going extremely fast and totaled my beautiful Toyota.... He knew I was upset and treated me most kindly and with a big hug. Thank you Ben. Ben had my exact replacement Toyota all picked out for me. A beautiful surprise! He quickly and efficiently took me through all the paperwork. He even called the car rental agency that my insurance company provided me with to have them pick up the rental car at the dealership! I appreciated his friendliness, his knowledge during purchasing and his warm patience. Thank you so much Ben! You are terrific!
Yesterday, I had the worst experience of my life trying to buy a car from Toyota of Clermont. We started our journey many months ago, did lots and lots... of research, and knew what we wanted and our top price. Great. We went there a couple of times, test drive it, and negotiated to a price $3000 dollars less than advertised on the car. We were very satisfied, and yesterday went back to get the car. Well, we provided our info to them, but before they went to run the credit and everything we specified that we wanted to use our bank Partners, which we were pre-approved. Well, they said ok. When they came back with the paperwork, the story changed completely. The basically said that if I wanted the discount I had to take their 6.83 APR instead of Partners 3.24 ( we do have a great credit score by the way) OR we could take their rate discount 2.9 but the selling price would go to $2000 more. They basically said that those were our only options, never showed us any other banks even. They said that they do not use purchase orders, or do not have a way to make a deal directly with Partners. What bothers me the most is the lack of transparency and the lies. If you do not work with Partners, this should have been explained before you run my credit, and not say "oh, yes Partners" These people Chris Graver are lairs. They will never ever get my business, because I do not deal with fraudulent people. If they would have been honest at first, they would have got my business. Honesty is more valued than discount. People be very careful, they are out to get you. Do you research, find out invoice selling prices, dont let them treat you like they are making you a favor, they are not. Car buying is not easy, but these people in 3 of my interactions, have shown to be very unethical, customer service 0, fraud everywhere. Watch out!!!!!
My first car buying experience. I was a little bit scared, but they were all very kind. I got a good price. I would recommend this dealership.
