Sammy was above and beyond helpful when buying my first used car. He was patient, informative, and made sure I walked away secure and happy! You could tell he really valued customer relationships and happiness over just getting you out the door with a sale. Would 100% recommend him for anyone interested in a Ford at Ocean Township.

Hi Sophia, Thanks for sharing such a wonderful review! We’re thrilled to hear Sammy went above and beyond to make your first used-car purchase such a positive experience. It’s great to know he was patient, informative, and made sure you felt secure and happy with your decision. We especially appreciate you recognizing that Sammy genuinely values customer relationships and takes the time to make sure customers are comfortable rather than simply focusing on making a sale. That’s exactly the kind of experience we strive to provide. Congratulations on your first car, Sophia, and thank you for your 100% recommendation of Sammy! Happy Driving, The Lester Glenn Ford Team
I purchased a 2026 Ford F150 on June 6, 2026. I flew in from the Detroit area for this specific vehicle. This was a cash deal. I had 2 serious issues with this dealership. 1. They were very unorganized and even though this as a deal that was not financed through them it took several hours to have the paperwork completed. 2. We had an overpayment of $1000.00 that was paid by certified check that I brought to pay for the vehicle. After numerous phone calls over 2 months finally received my overpayment back. This to me was unacceptable. If I shorted them they would have demanded the payment before I left with the truck. It was only after multiple phone calls and speaking with several employees that we were able to get our refund. 3. In calculating the sales tax for Michigan they overstated the amount by $391.00, to date they have refunded me $248.50, the remaining $142.50, they would not refund to me, as the the Manager stated there was an additional fee that was not disclosed or stated on the contract for purchase. We had a signed purchase agreement. Nowhere on this agreement did they disclose a third party company that would handle out of state registrations. At no time was this discussed. This purchase was a Z plan purchase, they are only allowed a certain amount for document fees- which on my contract were stated and collected in the amount of $150.00. They refused to reimburse the extra $142.50. This dealership committed fraud by charging an undisclosed fee. To any future customers buyer beware. I understand that this is only $142.50 but I’m certain that if I owed them this amount they would do everything in their power to collect. Anyone can make an error, how a company handles that error defines that company and the people employed by that company. This doesn’t speak well for them.

Hi marasboyle, We’re sorry for the frustration and inconvenience you experienced throughout your purchase, particularly with the time it took to complete the paperwork and resolve the overpayment. We understand that, especially after traveling from the Detroit area for a specific vehicle, you expected the process to be more organized and straightforward. We have reviewed the concerns you raised, and the monies owed to you have been refunded. The remaining $142.50 referenced in your review was the fee associated with the third-party motor vehicle vendor used to handle the out-of-state registration process. That said, we understand your concern that this fee was not clearly explained during the purchase process, and we acknowledge that better communication could have made the experience much smoother. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention. While errors can happen, we agree that how they are handled matters, and we’re glad we were ultimately able to resolve the outstanding balance and bring the matter to completion. Thank you for your patience, and we apologize again that your experience did not meet the level of service we strive to provide. Happy Driving, The Lester Glenn Ford Team
I brought my vehicle to Lester Glenn Ford on July 22, 2026, for a routine oil change and because I was receiving a "Powertrain Malfunction" warning on my dashboard. What followed was one of the most frustrating service experiences I have ever had. The day after dropping off my vehicle, I received a call from my service advisor, Theresa Lamer, requesting authorization for diagnostic work with several charges attached. When I questioned the charges because my vehicle has fewer than 60,000 miles and the powertrain should still be covered under Ford's warranty, I was told the charges were only being listed "for accounting purposes." Later that same day, Theresa informed me that the dealership believed the issue might be my transmission and that a master technician would review it the following day. At that point, I was hopeful the problem would be properly diagnosed and resolved under warranty. Unfortunately, communication quickly deteriorated. I repeatedly had to call the dealership myself to get updates, and promised callbacks never came. After my vehicle had been in their possession for several days, I requested a loaner vehicle because I needed reliable transportation for work. I was told there were none available and that I would be placed on a waiting list. On Saturday, after waiting four hours for a promised callback from Service Manager Steve, I finally reached him. I was told my oil change was nearly complete and that no faults or codes could be found. This was extremely confusing considering my check engine light, maintenance light, and powertrain malfunction warning had all been active, and the vehicle's performance clearly changed whenever the warning appeared. Despite previously being told they suspected a transmission issue, I was now being told nothing was wrong. Once again, I was told a master technician would look at it later. By Monday, my calls and voicemails went unanswered. Instead, I received a text message requesting authorization for additional diagnostic work totaling approximately $740, with no explanation of what work was being performed or why. Based on previous conversations, I believed these charges were being documented for warranty purposes, so I signed the authorization. On Tuesday, I was informed my vehicle was ready and that I owed more than $800. When I asked why the repair wasn't covered under warranty, Theresa stated it was not eligible and admitted she was unaware that I also had an extended warranty covering the powertrain, engine, and transmission through 83,000 miles. The problem is that I had spent the previous day trying unsuccessfully to contact the dealership to provide that information. Concerned, I contacted Ford Corporate. While I was on the phone, they attempted to contact the dealership multiple times and were unable to reach anyone. More surprisingly, Ford's warranty department informed me there was no record of any manufacturer warranty claim having been submitted under my VIN. When I arrived at the dealership to pick up my vehicle, Theresa could not initially locate my paperwork and eventually found it on her own desk. After I personally provided my extended warranty information, I was later informed that the repair would not be covered under that warranty either. The entire experience was marked by poor communication, missed callbacks, unanswered calls, conflicting information, and a complete lack of transparency. I still do not understand how the diagnosis went from "we think it's your transmission" to "nothing is wrong with your vehicle" to an $800 bill for repairs that were never clearly explained and apparently never submitted to warranty for review. I understand vehicle diagnostics can be complicated, but communication and customer service should not be. I left this experience feeling frustrated, ignored, and without confidence that my concerns were ever properly addressed.

Hi alinthwaite, We’re very sorry to hear about your experience with our Service Department. We understand how frustrating it is to be without your vehicle, especially when you rely on it for work, and we recognize your frustration with having to repeatedly reach out for updates. Regardless of the circumstances surrounding the diagnosis or warranty coverage, we should have done a better job communicating with you, clearly explaining what was being authorized and why, and keeping you informed throughout the process. We take those concerns seriously. Jordan Fuhri, our Ford Service Director, would appreciate the opportunity to speak with you directly, review everything that occurred, and see what we can do to address your concerns. We appreciate you taking the time to provide such detailed feedback and give us the opportunity to review your experience. Happy Driving, The Lester Glenn Ford Team
UPDATE: The alert returned stating “Powertrain Malfunction” again. I notified GM Brian who was very pleasant and had someone call me back a few minutes later. After discussing the issues with Service Manager Steve & that at this point I don’t feel comfortable returning to their service department we agreed on a reimbursement for the part & labor.

Just bought a F-350 at Ford dealership. Sales team was fantastic. I didn't like that there was no window sticker posted on the website but salesman Sammy produced one immediately as I walked in. I wish that pricing was more transparent but they came to a good price pretty quickly, I had done my research before going in, and knew what would be a good deal. Everything was very professional and a pleasure dealership to work with. I would definitely do business again with them.

Long wait time at the dealership for car service. You do not get a complimentary car to drive while your car is left for service.
