Near the end of March 2024 I purchased a 06 Prius from this car lot. It had 158,000 plus miles on the odometer. I test drove it and it seemed ok however I was concerned about the hybrid battery going bad due to the age and mileage of said vehicle. The owner of said lot said not to worry that if something went wrong with the hybrid battery they would help me out if the warranty company didn’t help. Well let’s fast forward to near the end of June just 3 car payments in and now the hybrid battery needs replacing. My first thing was to contact the car lot and all the owner said is to contact the warranty company with no mention of any help if they don’t cover it. I then contacted the warranty company and they did the claim but then refused it due to the hybrid battery not being a warranty item. So I ended up paying out of my pocket for a battery that is one of the highest price items to replace. So after missing a day of work and being out the money for the battery and no apologies or help from the car lot or warranty company, I find that totally ridiculous!! Plus before the owner gave me the fobs to the vehicle he basically forced me to do a google review where he told me certain things to say in it. I told him this sounds shady to do a review this soon not even having the car a week not even a full day. He said he has every customer do that before leaving so they don’t forget to leave a review. Now I see why it’s to ensure they get a good review before the vehicle breaks down… very shady practice. All I can say is BUYER BEWARE !! Before buying from this lot take the vehicle to a dealership for whatever make of vehicle you’re thinking of buying to let them check it out .. it is worth the 180 dollars vs 1000s of dollars that u may end of spending if u don’t. From now on I will be taking any vehicle whether it’s a car lot or private owner that I’m considering buying to a dealership to have it checked out before buying it. This company is a scam and should be out of business. bought a boxtruck and had so many problems with it. asked owner naveed karim to fix issues. they kept my truck for 9 weeks and did absolutely nothing. make sure to have everything they say to you in writing. do not sign the sold as is paper as they depend on that to sell their cheap xxx used cars that arent even road worthy.
