I had a really pleasant experience purchasing a new Kia Niro EV from this dealership. Before setting foot in the store I negotiated a price over email... with Ali, their internet sales director, and received a great offer for the one I wanted. He took time to answer all my questions over the phone about how Kia's warranties work. I went in the next afternoon and the sale was finalized in under an hour, with no surprises. Ali and the staff I interacted with exhibited a very high level of professionalism.
On Cars.com and their website they have a car listed at 45k. Upon emailing them they informed me they have a $5995 markup on top of their advertised price.... So their advertised price isnt their real price, its the price they advertise to try and suck you in then add $5995 on top of. This is why people hate the car buying experience.
We had a very pleasant experience at this dealership. Everyone was very friendly and eager to help. Especially Tony, Servank and Mark gave us the best... customer experience. They gave a very good deal on our car. We would definitely recommend our friends and family to buy a car from them.
Khushi, thank you for this excellent feedback and your very kind recommendation of our dealership. We are grateful to hear your kind words! We always ...work hard to make our customers' experience completely painless and efficient. We hope to work with you again soon! Best. Tony Khatib; email@example.com; GM; (408) 241-1234
Ray the Sales Manager was fantastic. We knew what we wanted and he had no problem matching us to the car of our dreams. He had the car ready for us when... we came in; gave us what we wanted on our trade-in and threw in a 240v charger.
My spouse and I had previously test driven and decided we wanted to buy a Kia Niro PHEV. We showed up to Kia Stevens Creek to see if they could give us... the best pricing on the vehicle and our trade in. There were several red flags about this dealership and their customer service that not only left my spouse shaken by her first new car buying experience, but about which we felt we had to caution other potential customers. First, as we later learned at a different Kia dealer where we eventually did make our purchase (and where we had a genuinely friendly and helpful salesperson), we had been repeatedly misled about pricing. For example, it's known on Kia's website that certain exterior colors cost from $295-$395 more. However, the salesman at Stevens Creek told us that the color we wanted was one of those that incurred extra cost (it's not, according to the Kia website), and that it would cost us $1000 more (it does not, according to the Kia website). This reflected a series of deceptive behaviors on the part of the sales floor in which prices were repeatedly verbally marked up beyond what is listed on Kia's website. If you go to buy a car, make sure to do all of your homework on MSRP and on the prices of all options beforehand! Second, the moment we arrived, they insisted that they needed our names, emails, address, and phone numbers before they could tell us a price. Because we get so many unsolicited robocalls and spam emails, we politely indicated that we'd be happy to provide this information once we had a price and knew that they were the dealer (compared to the other local dealers) with the most competitive pricing. Shockingly, the response was "Well then, it sounds like you're not ready to buy a car." I held my tongue, but felt like replying that apparently they were not ready to sell a car. The entire experience felt like them trying to pry information from us, just to be willing to give us a price on a vehicle. Certainly, when one is preparing to spend a large amount of money to buy a car, it makes sense to make sure you're getting the best price you can. Needless to say, we went to another Kia dealer (not far away), where the buying experience was just the opposite - incredibly pleasant, professional, and non-deceptive. There's a reason that a different Kia dealer got our business and that Kia Stevens Creek did not.
We want to learn more regarding your recent visit as your experience does not reflect our values. We pride ourselves on exceptional customer service, ...so the details you've mentioned do not live up to our standards. If you are open to contact, please feel free to call us at your earliest convenience. Sincerely, Tony Khatib; firstname.lastname@example.org; GM; (408) 241-1234
I have had my car serviced only at the Stevens Creek KIA dealership since we bought it in October 2017. The service department is excellent compared to... others I’ve dealt with in the past. Every time I call for an appointment, they’re able to get me in within a number of days, and always at a convenient time. When I take the car in, the service advisor, Daniel Garcia, always takes his time to listen to any questions I may have. The estimated time for completion is usually longer than the service actually takes. I appreciate them being fair about the anticipated length of time, but they’ve never come close to taking as long as they estimate. Their waiting area has WiFi, so I usually just hang there while my car is quickly serviced. Their checkout process is always quick as well!
Bait and Switch Kia. Really unfortunate experience due to questionable sales practices. After not being able to come to an agreement at the dealer, the... internet sales manager reached out to me and over a week of communication was able to present two deals that were close to my goal. Upon digging into the offers it was obvious the sales price was above my stated goal but they planned to use warranty offers to make it all work. After final back and forth I was willing to accept one of the offers to make a deal only to find out that their leadership after researching other dealer inventory further had decided to change the offer and raise the price significantly. "Until you sign the paper I have every right to do this." was the statement from the General Manager (who must be tired from responding to all of the similar reviews that reaffirm these practices). The experience truly was a shining example of why other dealerships with non-commissioned salespeople and on-line best and final prices are doing so well. In fact, there is a great dealership within 5 miles of this location I have used for service for years (I am a current Kia owner) and they do a great job, I suggest you go there and avoid Stevens Creek Kia and these type of bait and switch tactics.
First off, I drove all the way here from San Francisco because I was lucky enough to initially be connected to Salesman Nick when I called one afternoon... to check on the availability of a 2018 Kia Soul. He told me what he knew about the availability and told me he would call me back after checking on the specific vehicles options. Having had flaky car salesmen experiences in the past, I expected to not hear back. I was wrong! About 10 minutes later Nick called me back and provided me with all the information. He asked if I wanted to come in and I told him I would be in the next morning. He happily adjusted his schedule to meet me the next day. It was a complete pleasure working with Nick. He was happy to review all the bells and whistles of the car and it was clear he loved being able to sell Kia cars. On top of that, he was funny! When it came to the price negotiations, I could have not wished for a better experience. Shout out to the Sales Manager Mark who was friendly, straight forward and fair. The final chapter of the experience was the Finance Manager Servan who was really nice, low pressure finance guy. I am used to finance managers being pushy and trying to push all the "extras". Servan did not push at all! He reviewed the options, explained his opinions about the "extras" and did not push me with any guilt or fears (experienced all that at other dealerships). I walked out with a brand new Kia Soul at a price that was fair and customer service that was exceptional. If you are in the market for a new car I highly suggest checking out Kia's and the friendly, fun service at Stevens Creek Kia.
I recently leased a new 2018 Kia Niro from this dealership and I can say the service I received from my test drive with Sunit (my apologies for probably... misspelling than) to sales team of Mark and Amed. Sunit was very knowledgeable about the car and the options I was looking for, and Mark and Amed were very helpful in working with the budget I had in mind. While they asked me if I was interested in the more expensive Niro models, at no time was I pressured into going for the higher priced models that were out of my price range. Overall I had a very pleasant experience and Would recommend this dealership to a friend.
This is the second time I am leasing from this dealership and in both cases the experience was exceptional. Both Mark and Tony were very helpful in understanding... what I was looking for and offering a car that perfectly matched my needs.
