just purchased a 2004 hyundai santa fe. car is in good mechanical condition, it's hard to find something wrong with this car! just passed pa state inspection. i am happy with my purchase. i couldn't figure out why they wouldn't change the oil before reselling it... the sticker on the winshield and color of the oil, and the date on the filter itself (1/14) indicated the oil was rather old. not a big deal but it's easy and cheap enough to do before reselling...i have a feeling who ever did the oil last has a fondness for air guns. NOT FUN. i feel i got a fair price for my trade it, a 2005 ford ranger. and all in all a fair deal on a used vehicle. i invested another 700$ today for timing belt, S belts, and new plugs. i plan to bring the vehicle current on all service, and i plan on it lasting a very long time! thanks for a fair deal piero.

The customer service was wonderful. Bought a 2002 Jetta. I was looking for a car for months. I came here and I got the best car ever. You can't find a good deal, the way I find one here. Terrible Customer Service and Bad Car
I purchased a used 2006 Mazda 6 and was not offered a Warrenty. When they told me they would not fix the crack in windshield I should have known the owner of the dealership was not one to care about his customers. I bought the car anyway. When I test drove it we only noticed an issue with the windshield, we even pulled into a empty lot and my boyfriend checked everything under hood and under car. Once I made the purchase and drove it off the lot I notices a gum pack and wrappers next to the driver seat, he didn't even clean the car for me. That night I also noticed that the headlight was out. The owner said he drove this car home every night so he had to have known the headlight wasn't working. The next day I noticed the ceiling cloth was hanging down in the back and he had used scotch tape to hold it up. Lastly, a few days later I noticed some oil on my driveway. I went to Florida and came home and noticed even more oil. I took for oil change and I was instructed to bring car back to dealer. When I called Piero he told me that I was being "hysterical" and literally laughed at me on the phone and hung up on me after I asked him which mechanic checked the car so i could use the same one. I called him back and he told me to bring it for second opinion because it didn't seem like a "big deal". I brought it to 2 mechanics and found out there was a leak in the rear valve of engine. It would cost $750-$850!! I hadn't even owned the car for 2 weeks!!! I called Piero again and he said he would only pay half if I brought him my car and $400 CASH and then he would bring to his mechanic, who he would still not let me know the name of. He would not give me a quote in advance and would not allow me to bring my car to his mechanic, and insisted work only be done under those conditions because it was out of the "kindness of his heart". I SUGGEST NO ONE BUY A CAR FROM THIS MAN!! I am now paying hundreds of dollars for work because I do not trust him and all because he sold me a broken car with no warrenty because he knew there was an issue. A businessman who laughs at his clients is no man who deserves any ones business!!!

Here at NJ Auto and Trucks, we really look forward to responding to our reviews on cars.com. This time, we felt the content of your review was not accurate and exaggerated. As a family run business who prides themselves on customer service and business reputation, I would like to clear up some of these "facts" mentioned by "very disappointed customer". You came to our dealership seeking to purchase a car. Your financial situation was that you had $185 dollars in cash, a vehicle with 185,000 miles, yet you wanted to purchase one of the higher priced cars on our lot. Together, we worked through the credit application process, price considerations and adjustments. With only minimal cash for a down payment, I was generous in assisting you to receive a loan approval. The last finance company you used to purchase a car is also one that I use and they refused to give you another loan due to reasons I will not share online. With that being said, we feel as though cars.com customers must know both sides to our reviews. As far as the warranty, all customers are encouraged to buy a warranty. It protects the buyer and the seller so much so that I sell the warranties at cost. For whatever reason, you decided to waive the warranty and sign the "waiver of warranty" form at the closing of your sale. You noticed the small star imperfection in the windshield and I pointed out that it was sealed and treated as is the practice with small cracks. There was no further discussion on this. Just as a light bulb in a lamp goes out with no warning, the same holds true for a car bulb. In the rear interior of the car, a quarter inch piece of fabric had come loose. We used fabric tape to repair it. There was never any indication of an oil leak. If we housed a vehicle with an oil leak, there would have been oil spots on our lot. When you first called me about the issue, I responded by saying that I needed to have my mechanic look at the car so I can verify what an employee of a Jiffy Lube diagnosed as a problem. Your reluctance at letting me inspect the oil leak seemed unreasonable and gave me cause for concern. I've had, on a few occasions, minor issues with sold vehicles and the customer would set up an appointment and my staff would review the issue and, if needed, make necessary repairs. Your position was that I had to give you $800 to repair an oil leak through a third party and not have my staff a chance to verify the problem. Although your tone was abrasive and I was surprised that there were any issues with this car, I was willing to look into the problem because I value my business and its reputation. When your father and boyfriend came to speak with me in person, I told them the name and location of my mechanic and explained the process in detail in order to move forward. Unfortunately, I could not give you a quote because I was not given the opportunity to have my mechanic diagnose the issue. Given the condition of your trade-in vehicle, it stands to show that maintaining your car was not a priority. I am sorry you felt this was a negative experience. I sincerely tried to accommodate you. Performance exceeds Expectations!
I found the car that I always wanted online , and was not familiar with the dealership or the owner.I sent an email on the holiday ( Memorial Day) in the morning. I got a very quick response and phone call. The owner (Piero) waited for me to show up on the holiday when his family was waiting to enjoy much needed time together. Piero was friendly, trustworthy and made the process of buying a car an enjoyable one. He was easy going and I was able to purchase the car of my dreams within the price range I had wanted to be in. What more could you ask for! This was a much different car shopping experience than I had ever had before! Good luck in your car shopping and hope that you have a similiar experience!

Great experience
I started a new job and really needed a new car. The car i had went on the highway. I had just started an new job and lack of a car was threatening my employment. My credit is not in the best of shape but yet I was able to obtain a loan with a reasonable interest rate. The team worked very hard to help me through the process. They even scanned documents and emailed them to me. It was a wonderful experience.

I have NEVER in my entire life, experienced such a perfect car buying experience than the one I had at New Jersey Automobiles and Trucks a few weeks ago, buying a car for my daughter! Before we found them via cars.com we encountered numerous dishonest, pushy, unrealistic salespeople between Avenel and Hillside NJ. I only wish I had gone to them first!!!!! New Jersey Automobiles and Trucks has a beautiful facility with extremely well maintained vehicles (clean and ready to drive!) And it was so easy to get to from 287 and 80. They are by far the most honest, kind, pleasant, and reasonably priced dealership that you can ever imagine finding! Don't waste your time going anywhere else! My daughter is so happy with her 2002 Jeep Liberty!!! Buying a car from them was like buying a vehicle from your closest friend or family member! Love them!!! Thank you so much again for everything!!! I'll send everyone I know your way! No need to ever shop for a used vehicle anywhere else folks!!! 5 start rating wasn't enough - easy 10!!

Great Experience
I found the car to be exactly as advertised and it was listed at a fair price. Excellent customer service and even when a potential problem arose after I purchased the truck, the owner was still very willing to work with me to resolve. Turned out to be not a big deal but I was impressed with how they stand behind their cars or in this case trucks. Very happy with my purchase!!
