Bait and switch

The old “bait and switch “ scam. They lie and tell you they have the car you’re looking for but don’t. BUT you can buy next year’s model and have no idea when it will arrive. Never do business with these scammers!

Bad Mechanic Work

Would not recommend for mechanic work. I took my 2006 Mustang Saleen in to have the throw out bearing replaced. They called soon after recommending replacing clutch plate also to save money down the road. Only 38,000 miles on car so probably wasn't necessary. Ended up with a $3000.00 bill. Comment at pay time was that was a lot of money for repair. Met mechanic at car after check out and with the hood up he said I had problems with the supercharger and bearings needed replaced and he could do it for about $2300.00. The only noise I had beforehand was the throw out bearing. Now I had a noise inside the car that was actually annoying. Getting back to my office I found problems getting the car into reverse and it would jump out of reverse a few times before staying in. I had a few people listen to the noise and no one suggested it was the supercharger. This car is not driven much and over a year only about 90 miles. One reason not driving was I didn't like the noise and the gear changing. I called Bill Talley 2 or 3 times and made appointments to have the transmission checked but running a business just couldn't make the appointments due to business matters at the time. I decided to take the car to a local repair shop I know that works on hi performance cars and asked he check the transmission and also check the supercharger and do what is necessary to fix it. This mechanic said he doubts BT would know how to adjust a Hurst transmission and he could get it right. This mechanic called a few days later and had plenty of news. After spending a bit of time adjusting the transmission and thinking it was done said he surprisingly saw that the transmission holding brackets were just hanging. Four bolts, one at each end of the two brackets were left out. The brackets were hanging down about two inches. This caused the transmission to hang freely off the motor. Luckily I only drove the car about 90 miles, being all aluminum the transmission could have broken loose and caused a lot of problems. Greg, this mechanic installed the proper bolts in the brackets readjusted the transmission and this car is now absolutely fabulous. Changes gears slick as a whistle, no more noise and a joy to drive. I took pictures of the hanging brackets and the $300.00 bill to the BT service manager. Without a question he paid the $300.00 after seeing the pictures. I don't know how any experienced mechanic could have missed something like this.

What a waste!

Took my 2013 Ford Fiesta for transmission service and recall. They ran a diagnostic for $140. Said it was the accelerator pedal (?). $450 for the part, autozone said $162. With labor over $900. Refused to perform the transmission service which was supposed to be done at 100,000 miles. Had to ask three times for the recall to be done. I'll never go back there again. I was without my car all day and the service was still not done. Taking it elsewhere.

I would not only NEVER recommend this company

I would not only NEVER recommend this company to my friends, but I would also strongly advise that they NEVER USE Bill Talley Ford for service. They are liars and don't care about customer service. The reason is: I took my car to Bill Talley Ford to replace an air bag that was recalled. The service representative told me that it was hard to get to the air bag without removing the wood grained panel on the dash board. They also said that the panel could break BUT IF IT DID THEY WOULD REPLACE THE BROKEN PANEL. Since they said they would replace the wood grain panel if it broke I told them to go ahead and put the new air bag in. Sure enough, the wood grain panel broke. I have been trying for about 2 years to get Bill Talley Ford to fix the wood panel they broke. I have been in at least twice to talk to the manager and made numerous telephone calls. Finally, the manager told me that Ford was no longer makes that wood grain panel for my car (which is a 2007 but in really good condition). He said they couldn't do anything else and that I should call the Ford Home office. I did that and was also told that they could not replace the wood panel. After being patient, I finally gave up on Bill Talley Ford. I recently got another recall, this time for the driver's side air bag. I took took my car to another dealer in the area and they said they could replace the driver's side air bag AND GET A WOOD GRAIN PANEL for the passenger side that Bill Talley Ford said they could not get. The new dealership got that wood panel part IN ONE DAY! So, first BILL TALLEY FORD LIED about replacing the part if it broke and then LIED again when they said they could not get the part because my car was too old. So, I spent $1,8oo, out of pocket, to get the passenger side wood grain panel put in. I'm thinking seriously about hiring a lawyer and suing BILL TALLEY FORD.

Had the piece covering the undercarriage replaced.

I had an issue at my last oil change. JD called me and took care of everything without me even asking. It involved ordering a part and calling me when it came in to have it replaced. He did exactly what he said he would do. I very much appreciate him taking the time to fix my issue, and treating me as a valued customer. Not many places do that these days and its much appreciated. I will continue to have my Explorer serviced at this location.

Still waiting for repair on my door!!

Took my car in on Sept 3, part was to be ordered. Went back on Sept 9 waited 2 1/2 (missed from work) and they ordered the wrong part. Called Chris Smith, Gen Mgr the next day. They ordered new part and picked my car up on Sept 19th. Just got my car back and a phone call that the new part was once again the wrong part. Said they will order new parts and pick my car up Monday or Tuesday. So needless to say my car is still not fixed and I am looking into going to Richmond Ford West for my car needs

DO NOT TRUST BILL TALLEY FORD

DO NOT TRUST BILL TALLEY FORD . They got caught in a lie saying they performed a Safety Recall on my car . When i took it to another repair facility , they printed off proof from the cars computer that this was not performed. BILL TALLEY FORD asked me to bring it back in again and they would look at it again , but still said it is fine . THATS WHEN I SHOWED THEM THE PRINTOUT FROM ANOTHER FACILITY WHICH SHOWED IT WAS NOT DONE . They Quickly asked me for a copy and said they will get back to me on it . Now for months , they have said “ talk to FORD , because we closed out the recall . This is a Loss of steering recall . And my car STILL TO THIS DAY looses electronic steering and displays it on the dash . It took them 4 months to get me an appointment in there to perform the recall and then did absolutely nothing. HUGE LIFE SAFETY CONCERN

Fairly major damage within 6 weeks

So I bought a 2015 Ford Edge from here on 5/31/19. I noticed days later that there were paint scuffs all over the car. The reply from them, "nothing we can do". 6 weeks later the lift gate massively malfunctioned. Because i didn't drive the hour back to their location the reply was "nothing we can do". I get the feeling that if i did bring the car there the response would be "nothing we can do". Don't go here if you don't have to.
