I recently had problems with the AC on my 2012 Ford

I recently had problems with the AC on my 2012 Ford Fusion and I took it to Ralph Tucci at Shottenkirk Ford Jasper. Ralph and his staff figured out what the problem was and fixed it in record time. Everyone there was friendly,courteous and helpful. Excellent customer service. I will definitely go back to Shottenkirk Ford Jasper. When you find someone you can trust at a fair price there is no reason to go anywhere else.

Excessive Additional Fees

I called a week ago on a used Dodge Challenger with 1,123 miles that I would fly in, pay for with a cashiers check and drive back home approx 1,100 miles. I was shocked to find out that there was $3,990 service fee and a $699 Doc Fee for a total of $4,689 of service fees on that are non-negotiable and no description as to what these fees are for on top of a non-negotiable sell price. I typically buy new so I haven't bought many used vehicles from a dealer so after some though I decided to post the written quote I got from Shottenkirk on a Facebook page to get some opinions from people who have bought the same car at other dealers and with over 100 comments on the thread, there was nobody who agreed with Shottenkirk fees or could help me justify them, including a person who said they work at a dealer. I realize car dealers are constantly being told how to run their business by buyers but as a buyer, be aware of these fees and that they are not normal. Given the distance (Georgia to Minnesota) I would never be back at the dealer for service or be able to take advantage of whatever these fees might include, if anything. They wanted to collect Minnesota sales tax too which I have not seen before on non-boarder states but maybe I'm wrong and things have changed but the tax rate was wrong and then an additional fee of $87 for something called non-tax fees. So at $50,844 I'd be out the door on a 7 year old car where a brand new 2022 very equivalent locally posted online is $52,430 (without calling to negotiate) and a $125 fee which I assume if for getting license plates. Just be sure you are prepared for these additional fees if buying here. Maybe I'm just horribly uneducated on the used car market but I'm in my mid 50's and this isn't my first time at the car lot.

Well satisfied

Our salesman Nathan Fye did a great job helping us purchase a 2022 Jeep Unlimited. He helped us with the financing and tag transfer. I'd recommend him and the dealership to everyone. We couldn't be more satisfied.

Began having issues with the SUV I bought within 12 hours

Began having issues with the SUV I bought within 12 hours of having it. Took it back and they got it in to service a few days later. I ended up having to take it back 5 more times to actually get this fixed even with a video showing them the issue. Have since had to take it back about 8 more times with various other issues. They keep my car sometimes for up to 2 weeks at time as they are sending it elsewhere to be fixed. They had to replace the stereo and in doing so erased my apple car play. I had to argue for two weeks and they had to call programmers to get this back on. They asked me for proof I had it before. Well it was on the advertisement when I went in and I had a video of it working before they touched it. I told them I would not accept the vehicle back less than what it was when I sent it in for service. Its now been in for 9 days for an issue I've already taken it in for before. I have the issue on video and they said they couldn't re create it. So much for that wonderful extended warranty they sold me. So they had my car 3 days and had not even ran diagnostics on it. I have told them multiple times to buy it back. The dealership manager has never called me even though I have requested he do so multiple times. They also promised to replace a cracked piece of trim right after I bought and every time I mention it, its forgotten. The vehicle was also advertised with navigation and i was told by finance I would have to buy the SD card to update it to get it to work. The SD card is $500.00. I WILL NEVER PURCHASE FROM THEM AGAIN! Trust me when i say the don't check the cars before they sell them.

Don't know about the sales department.

Don't know about the sales department. My issue is their service department. Don't tell me it will take an hour, then come back an hour and a half later telling me they're going to get to it as soon as possible. No regard for the customers time. The problem here is there are no repercussions for bad service other than I won't be back...

Cannot even set up an appoinment correctly

Set up an appointment for 2 pm on May 28, 2022 - called to confirm or see if I might be able to get in a little early. The service person Scott said he couldn't find my information from my name or phone number. I never received an email confirmation from my initial call. Then after about 8 minutes, he found it. Didn't apologize for making me think they lost my reservation. Told me it sometimes can take 1-1 1/2 hours for the appointment. I asked does that mean I have an appointment at 2 I really do not get seen till 3-3:30 he was not clear with his answer and was very robotic. They lost my business forever and anyone I talk with - is very unprofessional
