Do not do business here

The entire process of purchasing a vehicle from Shottenkirk Ford was a hassle. The only bright spot in an otherwise frustrating transaction was the Finance guy Max, that dude is genuine and down to earth. Lets start from the beginning: I attempt to reach out to Shottenkirk 4-5 times only to get jerked around and no calls back, even from the Sales Manager himself. I finally reach a salesman who will take my call after telling them they were losing my business. Buying process goes okay, I was quoted some rates over the phone that were not true once making the drive but I excepted that. The dealership knows nothing about the car at all, I guess that's okay as it was a different brand car but I mean 0 effort in learning anything about the vehicle. (Salesman didn't even know how to operate basic functions). One of the salesman's also joyrode the car quite a bit from what I can tell, his name is saved in the infotainment with the speed metrics to prove it. But the worst part of this transaction is still being felt and still underway. I bought this car 9 weeks ago. I still haven't received my perm tag, I've checked in the salesman every few weeks only to be told its coming, its coming. TODAY I get a call letting me know in fact nothing has EVER been done with my paperwork and that they will begin the process... Today... 9 weeks later. On-top of that the lady who calls me lets me know that she has never once looked into my case as she never knew I was checking in with my salesman. Meanwhile I've been pulled over for an expired temp tag and my salesman has been lying to me for 9 weeks. I will never buy a car from here again, I would advise anyone I know to avoid this place. This dealership displayed continuous lack of communication and functionality. I wouldn't be surprised to see them go under. The best part is the salesman lying to me, saying that its completely normal to get my perm tag 10 weeks later. They most likely assumed based on my age that I should have no knowledge on the process. I knew 4 weeks in something was wrong and that's why I reached out. Avoid this place if you value your time, money and sanity. In my state you must have your tag to apply for a custom one. So I'm looking at 2-3 months to get a plate on my car. Wonderful.


Stay Away

Don't take care of their customers! I took my car in every time it needed service and they were supposed to check everything. Suddenly I needed all brakes which is understandable but the rotors were ruined and the brakes were terrible. This shouldn't have happened if the checked them as they were supposed to. I also took it several times for a problem they couldn't figure out .Finally went somewhere else and it was fixed instantly and covered by extended warranty


Soooooo happy!

Saw some things I liked on the website. During this Covid19, a lot of things were done via text. Dealt with Avery... He truly was amazing! Made me feel at home, relaxed and not at all pressured, only helpful! Would definitely recommend shottenkirk and Avery! Sure do love my Nissan Rogue!


Great Service!

So incredibly happy with the service I received while purchasing a used car. Billy Mobley went above and beyond to make sure the car was in perfect condition. He was on top of all repairs, and stayed in close contact with me while there were some minor repairs being made. Max Williams made the financial paperwork fun and easy. The new(ish) manager Steve was helpful and friendly, and helped Billy make me an awesome deal on the car I purchased. 10/10 would recommend Billy Mobley and Ford Shottenkirk in Jasper to all my friends and family!


Bad place to buy or service a new or used vehicle.

My advice is go somewhere else... If it's a new ford there are many good dealerships but Shattenkirk is NOT one of them... Don't be sorry, go elsewhere...



!!TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE!!! After submitting my credit information thru the website and confirming the vehicle is available, they call me approx. 1 hr later to tell me the someone else bought the vehicle. During the time between my credit submission and the call to tell me it sold, I had been in contact with the sell person multiple times and not once hinted to the idea that someone else was looking to purchase at the exact same time. So now I have 3 HARD PULLS on my credit and NO CAR. Tried to obtain my loan approval information from the sales guy for 3 days and asked that a finance mgr call. And over a week later I have no information or a returned call. WORST customer service I have experienced at any dealership.



Please do your research before buying from them. I would rather drive to Ellijay and give honest people my business. Please do the same. You'll regret it if you buy from shottenkirk



While waiting for a $99 transmission diagnosis, I looked at new vehicles because it has 140,000 miles. Service department came back and said I needed a $4,600 transmission. Realizing that my trade-in value was now in the tank, I left, but I went to another local mechanic for a 2nd opinion. After checking the fluid, he showed me a black fluid - obviously a sign that I had not maintained the transmission like I should have. I made an appt with him for the following morning to change it out. Following this $150 service, my truck runs like it's new. The Shottenkirk diagnosis infuriated me! They were going to offer me next to nothing on a trade, sell me a truck, and then resell my truck for a $4,600 + gain! I went back to Shottenkirk to discuss this with the Service Manager. His name is Greg. Greg listened to my story as if he was really inconvenienced. He was unmoved at what was done and completely discounted my experience. He said that I just wanted my $99 back which I found to be a despicable way to treat a customer. I got upset and he pointed to the door and told me to get out and he didn't care if I didn't come back. I brought this to the attention of the Sales Manager and he said he cared and they'd be in touch as they meet every morning and he'd address it. He hasn't called either. I think they work together as two teams playing for the same goal - maximizing profits AT THE EXPENSE OF THE CUSTOMER. Don't trust this location's Service Department. They will screw you!! They almost got me.


Wonderful experience.

Ian Levandoski our sales rep was fantastic. He found the car we wanted and made the whole process so easy. He is very professional and super responsive. The management was easy to work with to iron out all details and the car was ready as well as the paperwork when we arrived to pick it up. The entire sale of negotiated over the phone saving us time driving around and we got exactly what we wanted. Highly recommend Ian and his team.



I was solicited for a year to trade my vehicle for “a newer model at a lower payment”. I finally agreed to an appointment when I felt the payoff was far less than the value. I verified the current trade-in value on NADA and I was only offered half of the value of my car. I thanked the finance guy, Rick, for his time and he thanked me for being “being unreasonable”. RUDE!!
