This Kia location has taken a drastic turn for the worst

This Kia location has taken a drastic turn for the worst over the past years. Any time you try to file a claim for warranty coverage, the employees act like it is coming out of their personal accounts. It took me months to even get them to look at my car to see if it was eligible. No one acted like they were knowledgeable on the coverage they sold me. You no longer get a courtesy vacuum or wash when your car is serviced. I was told my car had a recall, but the part was not in stock and I would receive a call when it came in. I never received a call and have been trying to reach someone regarding the recall as it has been over 3 months approximately. They told me they did not know why someone would tell me I’d receive a call, because it is usually an automated text. Nevertheless, I never received a call or text. When I try to speak to someone they just keep transferring me to parts who hangs up on me. I have been patient and friendly, but it is baffling how unprofessional and uninformed they are at this point. The staff’s overall customer service and knowledge is subpar and needs serious evaluation. Manager called and scheduled me a service appointment to get the recall done as the part had been in. I took my car to get serviced and was called 2 hours later and told it could not be done that day because they did not know it was a blower motor replacement. How do you not know it is a blower motor replacement when you literally scheduled the appointment and knew how much time it would take to complete the service? Absolutely ridiculous and a waste of time. Dropped my car off at my new appointment and was called 1 hour and half later and told my part was given away, to come pick up my car, & reschedule for another 1 1/2 weeks. It’s actually insane how unorganized this place is. Dropped my car off again for new appointment this time I was told it might take until the next day which is not what was previously quoted. Therefore, I made no preparations to be carless for this long. No response after asking for update on number provided.

Once they have your signature for the purchase forget

Once they have your signature for the purchase forget about anything else they tell you they will do for you! Have everything promised in writing do NOT trust them. Do not take their word! They can care less if you are an upset customer or not they already got what they wanted! A signature !

Terrible service and shady dealership!

Terrible service and shady dealership!!!!! Wouldn’t buy from this dealership again nor would i recommend you do business with them. Helping our daughter Purchase a car from them walking in the dealership. Daughter is in the navy so we had to handle a lot ourselves for her. Got most of it handled in person. Everything looked good and apr we were promised was nice. Get home waiting on the paperwork to look over and sign…. That’s where it ended. The agreed upon numbers they tried to slip in a higher apr thinking our daughter wasn’t going to send us the paperwork to look over. So that was going to tack on about $2000 more but they pretended she was getting like $750 off with her military discount etc. But it was a ruse if you bothered to crunch the numbers to see how they snuck in you paying more. So we got delayed a day while they fixed it back to how it was supposed to be. They finally fixed it and she got the papers signed. We were supposed to pick it up and head out of town the following day to get it to her. We pack up and head that way only to find out now we have to wait to pick it up Monday because apparently only one guy in the company can approve anything and he wasn’t there Friday or Saturday. This completely screwed up our plans on a trip down to see her and drop off this vehicle she needed in time to use it to travel to her next orders out in Virginia. Now she is stuck over their screw up and we can’t just scratch the whole thing at this point which we really want to do between the shady terms they tried to sneak in and then the xx over getting the car she now owns. Here we are 5 days later and she still doesn’t have the car she owns and we can’t get them to answer the phone or tell us anything. When we asked, while we just planned to go ahead and go see her, if we could just drop the whole thing because we wanted to go to another dealership they said no we were locked in so we had to wait. Fast forward to Monday and more drama and guess what….. she has to sign a new contract… yet another lie to hold her hostage basically not giving a xxxx she really needed this done to get moved. Wasn’t about her - was about their commission. So now we are waiting on new papers to look over again to see what they hid in this one and she is stuck because now we just really have to get this done and can’t drive all day to her to attempt this again . I’m beyond mad and If she had more time we definitely would not use them to get this handled. Shady business and greedy customer service. I’ll smear my experience across every avenue I can for customers to see. It’s really unethical dealership who took advantage of our daughters situation and turned what should have been a pleasant exciting first purchase for her into a stressful nightmare and expenses now that we have to take time off work to drive this vehicle down there in a hurry this week instead of it all falling in order as we planned and were promised last week when we had plenty of time. Disgusting

Purchasing was excellent but service/repair is more miss

Purchasing was excellent but service/repair is more miss than hit. Today was the icing on the cake. Check engine light came on 2 weeks ago, called and spoke with Curtis, he informed me that the soonest they could take it in would be 2 weeks out (obviously). So I went ahead and scheduled. He asked me to have it here by 7:30 a.m. and that was that. Here is my issue, get there this a.m. and they immediately tell me they are keeping my car over the weekend because the technician can't get to it until Monday. So my questions are if it's not even going to be touched til Monday, why wasnt I informed from the very beginning when I made the appointment? And why did I have to be here at 7:30 in the morning?!!!!! I had to arrange school drop off for my kids since this is my day off and I typically take them to school. I would have just dropped it off yesterday evening and arranged for a ride home. So now I had to wait for a ride since I had no idea I wasn't going to have my car back. ALSO, they conveniently never have loaner cars. This is something I'm going to look into before I purchase another vehicle and enough to make me not want to buy from KIA again.

I’m come to university Kia and ask for Deaundrae by name He is very knowledgeable and efficient with getting the customer in and out with consistant updates which I really appreciate you can tell he enjoys his job and is committed to ensuring the customer leaves with a positive experience.
