Beware!!!

**BEWARE OF TIM SHORT CORBIN*** So……I deleted this post after being promised the issue would be resolved but here I am again! 6 months later, same issue. See below for original post. They told Lexi she would have to drive it until the engine blows up then they could replace it. She bought the car to have a safe one for her 5 year old and a newborn. The vehicle won’t accelerate and burns oil meaning she has to add oil weekly. Seems extreme for an $18,000 vehicle huh?!! I will give them credit for the oil changes once a month due to the lack of oil. They do cover that 🙄 They shut me up last time, everyone from the dealership called me. Not this time!! I refuse to take this post down again! If you buy a used vehicle from Tim Short, have it inspected FIRST!! We have given Tim Short Corbin plenty of time to correct the issue we had without any success. Lexi bought a (used) vehicle from them and she has had to take it back six times. They continue to tell her they will call her back, but they do not. One of the issues was such that they changed her oil and she later found the oil all drained out of her car into her driveway. She had the vehicle towed back to Tim Short because she was obviously afraid to drive it with no oil and they told her it was a disintegrated oil cap. When she picked the vehicle back up from them, it was making a whistling sound. A noise that it was not making prior to taking it back to them due to the oil. She called them back and it was discovered that The car has a hole in the catalytic converter. Odd that it has a hole in it and starts making a noise after they were under it messing with the oil cap. Ironic huh….When talking to the salesman (who’s name is James), he told Lexi he didn’t know anything about the vehicle because they had gotten it two days prior. It would’ve been nice if they would have done a little inspection on this vehicle prior to charging $18,000 for it, right? Now I know that we bought a used vehicle. However when you pay $18,000 for a used vehicle you don’t expect to have to take it back to the dealership six times. She did purchase the extended warranty that they talked her into purchasing and they keep telling her they will have to check with the warranty division before they can fix her vehicle. Granted, they did order the part and have her to bring it in so they could put it on however, they ordered the wrong part and had to send it back. She then spoke to them again and they told her, they cannot order the new part until the wrong part was received from wherever they ordered it. During that time warranty was not discussed. On Wednesday of this week, a manager, whose name is Andy contacted me because of my prior post and assured me the issue would be taken care of. Here we are two days later and still waiting on a return phone call with no resolve. Lexi had many car lots she could’ve chosen to purchase a car from however, Lori and myself suggested this car lot because we had successful purchases in the past. Lexi‘s purchase has been a complete nightmare. I have had many many people message me via Facebook messenger with their own complaints about this car lot. There is no way I would recommend anyone go here to purchase a vehicle. They pass our complaint from one person to the next with no resolve. Our next stop is an attorney. BTW, she’s 24 years old and 8 months pregnant……they saw her coming and jumped on the opportunity to take advantage of a young girl who would be needing a “mom” car 😡

Retired Teacher

Had a great experience at Tim Short. Bought a 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee Altitude. Got a good trade-in and overall good deal. Brandon Hodge was our salesperson and he was very professional and knowledgeable of the vehicle and in explaining our options.

Brandon Hodge

My wife and I stop by Tim Shorts on Wednesday. The first person to greet us and help us was Brandon Hodge. He is AMAZING. He got us into the vehicle that we needed and wanted. Best customer service I have ever received. Brandon was helpful and friendly. He worked so hard with us. If you're looking for a new vehicle, I highly recommend Tim Shorts. Ask for Brandon Hodge and he will set you up.

Terrible Customer Service and False Information.

2018 4Runner sold w/o spare tire. My wife and I purchased a 2018 4Runner Limited we found in the internet a couple weeks ago. The car is fantastic and is exactly what we were looking for. However, when we met in Bowling Green Ky to pick up the vehicle we found out that it had an optional 3rd row seat and was missing the spare tire. I had asked the salesman, Todd, specifically about the 3rd row and he told me he didn't think it had one. Also, when we found out there was not spare tire, I called Todd and he assured me it would be no problem to have a spare tire sent to us. Several emails and calls later, I finally got in contact with a manager who informed me that they never authorized Todd's promise to have a spare tire sent to us. I just called our local dealer and the cheapest we can get a spare is going to be $813 tax. I would highly discourage anyone from purchasing a car from this group unless you are able to go in person and thoroughly inspect the vehicle first. Todd was very unreliable and I would have to call multiple times to get any follow-up on questions I had. The car is 5 Star, however the customer service and follow-through by Tim Short management is a 1 Star.

Bought a new RAM

Brandon Hodge was very professional. I already knew what I wanted and he helped along in the process. Didn't have any interaction with finance people, already had my own. What I really like, they actually followed me home so I wouldn't have to come back later and pick up my other vehicle I arrived in. Thanks Brandon

I just wanted a used vehicle!

I wish they would have tried to help me with buying a used vehicle instead of trying to put me in a brand new one. I knew I couldn't afford a new big car payment plus full coverage being a single mom. They said they couldn't get me financed, but they where wrong! I finally have my beautiful used Nissan Murano plus at a payment I can afford and my insurance (thanks to the finance lady at the dealership I bought my used car at) at a great rate with a new insurance company.

Online prices ARE NOT what the actual cost is

I thought I found my dream truck, was in great communication with a young lady. I think her name is Dawn. Sadly, after speaking with her numerous times, I was forwarded to a manager that let me know that the price include rebates which I did not qualify for. Which in turn raised the cost of the truck over eight thousand dollars.

Dealer response

I apologize for the confusion. We try to be clear in our advertising that you must qualify for all rebates included in the price. However, I understand your frustration as this was obviously not made clear enough to you. I would like to have the opportunity to discuss your situation though as the rebates should not differ that much from person to person. Could you please contact me directly at loganj15@yahoo.com or at Tim Short Auto Mall 606-523-2657....Thanks Logan Jones

good sales staff, Poor Management

First off, the customer service was great. Had a few problems with Some of the ladies in the room. The gentleman mark. Or Mike was very helpful and convinced me to take the drive over and buy a vehicle. I hadn’t bought a new car in 15 years, he explained the process and all the fees.
