My experience working with Zeke Avery at Bert Smith VW was exactly what you would hope for when purchasing/leasing a new car. I'm a single female and was apprehensive about being approached/having to work with the stereotypical car salesman. Zeke was AMAZING! Extremely knowledgeable and respectful, no high-pressure sales tactics and pretty much a joy to work with! I trusted him completely and refused to go back to the dealership when I was ready to commit until he he would be back in the showroom. Cannot say better things about Zeke or the whole Bert Smith team. 5 star experience from start to finish!

SERVICE DEPARTMENT SCAMMERS!!!!
STAY AWAY FROM SERVICE DEPARTMENT. Do not trust this dealership unless you want to receive your car with more problems than you brought your car their with. They only have one “good” mechanic and the rest are amateurs. This is not the first, fourth, or tenth time this was reported. The only reason I brought my car in for a repair was because my warranty covered the repairs and I give everyone the benefit of the doubt. Which now, I extremely regret. You would assume after bringing $20,000 worth of business for repairs where they over charge the warranty company that they would be professional enough to cover mistakes that their mechanics make. STAY AWAY! They run a shady service department, not sure if it is because of the Service Manager or not but I would not recommend to anyone to put trust in Bert Smith Volkswagen. I brought a drivable car into the dealership and was returned with my car UNDRIVABLE. They “suggested” I pay them $3400 for a repair on a part that I had just purchased new before bringing in my vehicle.

Excellent experience thanks to Shawn Chayban in sales! This dealership provided a wide variety of vehicles to select from, no pressure environment, quick process to complete your purchase. I was able to find exactly what I was looking for , stayed in my purchasing budget, and drove home same day with my new Tiguan! Amira , in financing, provided me with great advice on vehicle finance options and service/add on warranty plan packages.

SIMPLY THE BEST EXPERIENCE!
After shopping the internet for a new Atlas and dealing with a Tampa Dealer who would take nothing less than MSRP and wanted to increase the price because I was bringing a check from my credit union( they consider it a cash sale) I checked in with our local VW Dealer via the online Website. I received a prompt reply from Shawn Chayban. We text back and forth and he did have the Atlas I wanted but just in a totally wrong color. We text more and since I hadn't actually driven an Atlas yet, he invited me to just come drive it before I go all over the state trying to get a Pure Gray one and I could show him my trade a 2018 Mercedes GLC ( I mentioned I may just sell it outright). I went over and meet Shawn on my 1/2 day off in clothes I do yard work in. Shawn was super courteous, had a mask on and had the Atlas pulled up to the Building so we avoided walking around in the hot sun. He asked if he could take a few minutes and go over the features of the car with me ( he knew I had researched the car and I had a lot of questions especially since it had been about 15 years since I had owned a VW. Shawn had researched the car I was looking at in Tampa and told me the exact things this Atlas Didn't have. Come to find out it was only 1 that I would have really used. Test drive went awesome, we went back to the Store and they QUICKLY worked up numbers for our trade, Talked about the trade and again QUICKLY came back to me with a proposal and yes they discounted off the MSRP. Because of the my Partner and I both really wanting a color change ( last 3 cars were white) we wanted to talk it over tonight because the color was just not what we wanted. The word PARTNER OR HUSBAND never phased him ( as it shouldn't anyone since it's 2021) and we talked a few more minutes and I was off to think about driving another darn white car...LOL After going to one more dealer in South Bradenton to see one in Pure Gray, it was obvious in my mind and opinion that when I mentioned my Partner things changed. They asked why wasn't SHE here and I said I'm sorry HIS name is Tate. I was very put off with buying another car and seriously just considered waiting or just going and spending 25K more on a Mercedes GLE because I knew the Dealership and was comfortable with them. It's 2021 and these things just shouldn't happen. The next morning Shawn texted me and after some back and forth I asked to drive it again. I went in and everyone that walked by that worked at the Dealership spoke and said hello and were friendly and this didn't happen in Bradenton. We went on a quick test drive again and I said Ok lets get this deal done. From that point I don't think I was in the dealership more than an Hour and 10 Min. The Finance Manager came out and asked about my Credit Union paperwork, a few minutes later he called me in the office and In a super short amount of time I was done. Shawn has the new Atlas pulled up, helped me pair my phone to the Apple Car Play and helped me put everything in the new car. Moral of my long story: Being in business myself, Shawn and Bert Smith did business like I do and treated me just like everyone else. I will actually say I was treated better then when I purchased top of the Line Luxury Cars in the past from Mercedes. Shawn was very thankful for my business and I was very thankful he was a TRUE PROFESSIONAL and I will truly send Family, Friends and Clients to him in the future. Shawn knows his product on a very high level and committed to satisfaction and takes great pride in what he does.
