Wait Times

Very big miscommunication with wait times. I told my serviceman that I had a ride and asked for a rough eta. He said not long at all and that I could honesty wait in the lot or service area. The wait would be short. It was for a battery test/change if needed. At the hour mark I called and said I live down the street and I could wait there. That there was no rush. They said 20 more min but i could leave and pickup by 6:30. But I already waited so of course pushing through. Then I get the notification to proceed with services like 20 min later. Adding a break fluid flush overall it took 2 hrs and 15 min. Idc about time. I know I am not the only car that needs serviced. But i could have waited at home. I am bitter because my first trip here six months ago I ignorantly did not bring a ride because of the automated message that is sent. Something like "you do not need ride, this wont take long" not knowing it was automated. Then ubering home after I was told it would be 4-6 hours... So this time I bring a ride and wait in lot for over 2 hours. It was suggested that I got an alignment. Which I would have loved to get had I not already been waiting on a "short battery check" in the lot of a VW forever already. Had I been home and not on his clock I would have proceeded at this location.

Don't waste your time or money at this dealership. They have terrible customer service and service dept. They will send you email after email that your vehicle needs service, but when you set up the service and show up for the service appointment (which is free as part of your purchase agreement), they will tell you that actually you have x amount of miles left so this won't be a free service since you actually didn't need service yet. What a racket - so dishonest!!!

We appreciate your feedback. We’re sorry if you found our email reminders confusing; we estimate when you are due for your mileage-based services (10k Service, 20k Service, etc.) and we send our reminders out stating that you may be ready for service based on that. Because your first two mileage-based services are complimentary, there are parameters outlined by Volkswagen that we must adhere to. Unfortunately, you visited us too early - you came in for your 10k Service with 6,081 miles on your vehicle, and for your 20k Service with approximately 13,000 miles on your vehicle. We’re sorry that we weren’t able to complete the services requested because your mileage was too low, but we did offer to top up your fluids and check your tire pressure. We understand that our Service Manager has reached out to you via email, and he will be happy to answer any questions or address any additional concerns you may have.

Bought a used car, overall it was very pleasent!!!

Every one was friendly, the salesman was very attentive and answered every single question. The test drive wasn't hurried. Inside they kept me updated about what was happening while I was waiting. When it came time to sign though I felt a bit hurried and when I did have questions i was rushed though to the next "here let's do this next signature, sign here, it's all taken care of" kinda statements. But I'm happy with my choice of car and my overall experience was pleasant.

This is my 2nd review of this service department. I get into my Cross Sport this morning and I have an airbag error light come on. The service manual advises to take to the dealership immediately. I do so and because of a busy schedule I have today I request a loaner. Service advisor David Patterson became rude and condescending advising there are no loaners available and most dealerships would just turn you away on a Saturday morning. If I am not mistaken there are over 300 cars on this parking lot. I am sick and tired of these dealerships doing what they can to make a sale; allowing overnight test drives and then when you need a vehicle to drive magically they don't have a car available. I like my Cross Sport but if this level of service continues this will be my last Volkswagen purchase!!

We appreciate your feedback, Chris. Unfortunately, we aren’t able to use just any vehicle on our lot as a loaner; we have specific vehicles that are designated and insured as loaners and when those have all been deployed our hands are tied. We understand how frustrating that must be, and we apologize for it. If you’d like to discuss this further, our Service Manager is available to speak with you at your convenience. His name is Chris Ballard, and he can be reached at cballard@andymohr.com or 317-593-8321.

DO NOT CARE about customer satisfaction!

I recently traded in a vehicle, and purchased a different one at Andy Mohr Volkswagen in Avon. It was NOT a good experience at all. I had to leave the day of the sale due to prior plans, but was told to come back that afternoon to finish paperwork and pick up the vehicle. The salesperson then called to inform me that they were not aware the car wasn't ready, and needed a part replaced. This was on a Saturday so I was told to pick the vehicle up Monday afternoon. On Monday afternoon I reached out, and was told the wrong part came in and I would have to pick the vehicle up on Tuesday. On Tuesday afternoon I went into the dealership to pick up the vehicle. As I was pulling out of the dealership I thought the Jeep had a weird smell but didn't think much of it, because I was told they had just detailed it. I figured it was from the cleaning supplies. I drove it strait to my house and parked it in the garage for the evening. The next morning I walked into my garage to leave for work. The fumes were almost unbearable. I got in the jeep to start it and they were even worse. I tried to start it and it quit twice. I got it to start and run on the third. Instantly got a headache from fumes and contacted my salesperson. They informed me that Management said it was sold "As Is" and there was nothing they could do. They fixed everything their technician said was wrong. Good luck, hopefully the problem isn't that bad. I would understand if I had been driving it for a week, or put a few hundred miles on it, but not the first time I drive the vehicle home from the dealership. Obviously everything wasn't fixed. It didn't smell on the test drive, and it started three times with no problems after the test drive because I'm always conscious to make sure. After paying a deposit on Saturday, the dealership works on it, replaces parts, and now something is wrong with it. I think at the very least they could have offered to take a look at the vehicle again. To tell someone they aren't willing to do anything, or even give a phone call, just shows they do not care about customer satisfaction one bit. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND this dealership to anyone in the future!! Take your business to someone that cares. Salesperson was nice, only good part about the experience.

Tire Repair

Great service as always. They were able to get me in on short notice and repair a tire. I’ve been going here for years and they are always willing to work with me on the price.
