Service needed for Mini Cooper Sport

We have only had great experiences working with the sales and service staff at Mini of Hawaii in Honolulu. We’ve used them for both our BMW and Mini Cooper. Highly recommend!

Service under warranty

My 2017 Mini Cooper had a bad battery. Called Mini Service, they had a tow truck within 45 minutes to my place. Was easy to track via text, with updates on the status. They sent pics to me of the car when it arrived, updated me with repair notices, fixed it quickly under warranty, and had my car ready and washed. From Arielʻs quick responses in the beginning to Barryʻs fast feedback, this made me certain my next car will be a Mini again, specifically from this dealership.

New Battery for my Mini

Best service so far! The Service Repesentative was really great. The service was quick, the price was right, and they washed my car. Hopefully, I won't need any further repairs.

Best Salesman

Purchased my second countryman from the same salesman and would do it again. I emailed him from a cruise ship after my son accidentally totalled the first countryman. Ryan met me at the dealership the morning after my return and I drove out with my new car that day.

Great service if not a little pricey.

With only one dealer in island you are kind of forced to go here. But the service they provide is great. Expect to pay a little more, but they make up for it in staying in touch with you and being upfront about everything that is going on. You won't feel like you've been taken advantage of.

Not knowledgeable or Dishonest Service

Either the people don’t know their job here, or they are takin advantage of people when it comes to car service. Had my car serviced because my wipers started working intermittent and then wouldn’t work then would work. Most good mechanics would start from the least expensive route then use a process of elimination. These guys obviously did no troubleshooting, and went directly to the most expensive route, which was to replace the motor. They quoted $2100 to Replace the motor with no guarantees! Being an older mini the car is barely worth that. With that being said they instantly offered me a chance to talk to a sales rep to push a newer car on me. Needless to say I said no and wanted the car back. The reason they said it was a faulty motor according to them was because error codes came up that it was faulty. LOL what a joke. I called them out on their troubleshooting and just took my car back and paid for the $100 oil change and $100 for the diagnostic for a total of a little over $200. When I brought the car home I knew it wasn’t a bad motor because it would sometimes work. I finally figured it out and it cost me $10 to fix. Meanwhile they just assumed it was a faulty motor conveniently which would provided the highest profit margin for them instead of doing their job. If you were wondering what the fix was? It was a faulty ground cable so if your wipers decide to fail first check the cheaper solutions such as fuses, relays, ground before you get stuck with a $2100 quote and lose out on $100 for poor service. This place is a sham and I wouldn’t recommend going. It makes me wonder if they even changed the oil.
