Let me start off by stating I HAVE NEVER EVER WROTE A BAD REVIEW BEFORE BUT HAWTHORNE AUTO SQUARE ARE 100% CROOKS!!!! THEY ARE THE MOST DEVIOUS AND UNPROFESSIONAL (I don't even want to say business) THEY NEED TO BE SHUT DOWN!!! We purchased our vehicle on march of 2023 it has not even been a whole month they had the audacity repossess our vehicle and on top of that they called my auto insurance company and told them "we repossessed ************ vehicle and to cancel our car insurance policy" so my husband went down to their office to get our vehicle back this was Friday afternoon and they said we have to wait until Monday mind you we are being charged every day for a storage fee... if we couldn't get our car back at least give us our property whatever was left in the car which cost 140$ all our property was there accept my husband Burberry sunglasses long story short my husband goes back yesterday and now there say the car need car insurance to drive out the lot so I got the car insurance car is fully covered and now there saying the insurance has to be under my husbands name that's a BS if the car is under my husband name and I (his righteous wife )married by law get car insurance fully covered in the state of California as long as the car is fully covered that's all it matters... it's a on going nightmare also EDITH AND HER CREW ARE VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND MAKING A MOCKERY OUT OF MY HUSBAND AND I!!! I WILL BE FILING A COMPLAINT TO THE MOTOR VEHICLE BOARD AND TO THE DEPARTMENT OF CONSUMER AFFAIRS AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST TO THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU.

Oh if I could give 0 stars I would! We came here to buy a car fully. They had the exact car we wanted however the Sun roof was broken. “Managers” Sam and Haidor (the con artists themselves) told us that they would fix the broken Sun roof for us for no extra charge (which was our only hang up about the car) so we bought it. Paid $20,000 right on the spot. The car was marked $2,000 over market price so we negotiated for them to take $1,000 off which they did. We decided to keep the car there so it would be first in line for service in the morning. We spent the whole next day trying to figure out where the car was. They claimed they needed to send it to a Sun roof specialist at the Jeep dealership. Not a single person in the whole establishment would or could tell us where the car was physically all day long. We called every jeep dealerships around and they said they did not have our car. We spoke to 8 different people at the Auto Square and they had “no idea” where the car was. Now for the best part…Sam finally texted us and informed us that since they gave us “such a discount” they were not going to fix the sunroof because it would be too expensive. We made an agreement that we would buy the car if they fixed the sunroof (which is something they offered). So both Sam and Haidar lied to us and sold us a car $1,000 over market price with a broken feature. So since they weren’t going to fix our car we wanted to come pick it up. They told us we couldn’t get it until the morning and still refused to tell us where they sent it. We called several people and they all hung up on us. Sam stopped answering our calls and texts and blocked my partner’s phone number. So not only is he a liar, he’s also a coward. Couldn’t even own up to his lie and then proceeded to call me the liar…sounds like projection to me. I called the police to see if there was anything I could do and the officer noted that Hawthorne Auto Square is a shady business that has a bad reputation. The officer proceeded to tell us we made a good decision by paying in full because they have quite the history of destroying people with their interests rates and other shady behavior. At the end of the day, it’s just not worth it and I highly recommend taking your business elsewhere. They say a man is only as good as his word….and their words are garbage. I will say the only decent person we interacted with was Manny. He was respectful and apologized for the situation when we were finally able to pick up our car.

I DO NOT recommend this place !! Unprofessional and blatantly lie in front you, they list fake ad online to sell you whatever. Don’t waste your time and your money there even if you are desperate. Apparently they also sell cars that have a lot of problems after s short while

Took my 2015 Explorer in for service very professional I would recommend them to anyone also I bought the Explorer from them as well the sales staff and their Auto Repair staff was very professional

As soon as we pulled up we were politely greeted ask how can they help us and every thing was perfect in all aspects of the operation.

I currently have a Chapter 13 Bankruptcy on the car I have from them with a dual residency in both California and Nevada and they took my car illegally. I've spoke with a girl name Silvia who doesn't know what she's doing and I got bounced back and forth to so many other people until I get to the person who needs to be releasing the vehicle by the name of SHIRLEY CRITTENDEN.... FIRST UPDATE: Shirley hung up in my face when I told her about the law that she claims she knows about but clearly doesn't. SECOND UPDATE: Shirley called me a xxxxx has hung the phone up in my face multiple times and refuses to do what is asked and what is suppose to be done by the LAW. She needs to be fired immediately!!!!! She obviously has no idea what she's doing either and that's not how you handle business. THIRD UPDATE: I talked to multiple people in the payments department about releasing the car back to me and they inform me that there's no one else I can speak to but Shirley and that she doesn't have anyone over her and that she doesn't have a boss and that Shirley isn't available. Finally at 4:55 pm (The only time she answers the phone because she's about to get off at 5:00 pm) Shirley answers and says "I like how you just being a snitch out here tryna get me fired and xxxx now you ain't getting xxxx back and Ima have them charge you for your stuff xxxx waving the fees' then hangs up in my face again. This company isn't doing things like they are suppose to be doing and they do not know how to treat the customers!

I did the online application. I received a call from a salesman named David. He told me that I would need to bring 2000 with me to get a certain car even though the ad clearly states you can get the car with 0 down and you have 5 months to build your down payment. I drove all the way to there dealership. The drive took me 1.5 hours to get there. I brought the down payment with me. They actually showed me the car. I was amazed at how much it was beat up. As a matter of fact the battery was dead on the car and I had to show the manager and lot guy how to properly jump the car. I was taken inside the showroom. They had me sit down in front of this jerk finance guy. He asked me how much I had to put down. I told him exactly what the salesman told me to bring. I also told him since I had 5 months to come up with more down payment I would give him a total of 6000. He said sorry that 2000 is not enough up front. He said he would need more. I didnt even ask him what that was. I just walked out. These guys are liars and over charge for all these vehicles. Not only are they charging about 10,000 over what the car is worth but they are charging a 29 percent interest rate on top of that. JUST Beware that they will bury you so far in $$ that you will never get out of the vehicle. It will break before you will ever pay it off. There are way better places then this xxxx show. You were warned.
