Totally disgusted with them!

Totally disgusted with them!!! I purchased a car from them, with the deal that : 1. The car needed to be delivered by a certain date, because I would be out of town. Car came for days 5 days late which I had a women I know came everyday for the 5 days, because they kept saying it’ll be the tomorrow at a certain time. On the 5th day when it did arrive, it would not star. Driver left the car on the street in front of my house. I got home and poured some gas in the carb, and it started. Had to do this every time. So they knew too. Sent the car to the shop to be checked out. And guess what they found. The work they promised with the sale. 1. Head lights had to be working, they did not work, said they fixed it by replacing the headlight. What I found was a faulty high/low beam dimmer switch. 2. The convertible top worked very slowly, so they said they fixed it. Faulty ground wire, nope - hydraulic lines at pistons leaked, it appeared that they just kept adding break fluid, which leaked all over behind the seats ruining the seat belts and making a very stinky smelling car. 3. Repair A/C unit. Said they replaced compressor. Nope that wasn’t done either. 4. Bubbles in paint to be repaired, nope that wasn’t done very well. Sent the car to the shop to further checked out. 1. New steering box on the car. Where the steering box bolts to the frame, the frame was rotted out. And filled in with body filler and then undercoated. This was done in several places on the frame. $4000.00 in for that for repairing the frame. 2. New rear springs installed, but no retaining rings to hold them in place. 3. Car over heats, so much scale and that radiator stop leak crap. The radiator had to be replaced. 4. Pulled fuel tank out, poured a of 3 cups of rust and debris in tank, yup had to replace that to. Hoping no real damage has been done. So the best way I could some up everything else with the car is….if it called for five bolts, they only used two. Best of all I called the dealership to speak with the owner mostly over the whole steering box/bondo issue. The secretary said the owner could not be contacted by phone. So I sent emails, which the first was was responded to that, they would call me back in a couple of days because they were traveling. Okay I get that. After a couple of days, I sent another email. Got a response that they just tried calling but my voicemail was full. No it wasn’t. So I sent more emails with no response. The worst part is, that I could have gone down there, bought and dove the car home and killed myself and possibly someone, and their family too So now I’ve contacted: The Attorney General’s office, The Florida Car Dealership Licensing Department, And the Florida Highway Safety Commission. So just remember places like this are not car enthusiasts, they are just used car salesmen. That’s it.

The team at Skyway has done an incredible job getting a really impressive collection of classic cars! The team was very helpful in answering all of my questions on the 1960 Corvette I was interested in, and their building was beautiful. Unfortunately, I was unable to buy at this moment, but I will be back!!

I asked two direct questions about the vehicle they had advertised (a 67' Chevrolet El Camino) and received ZERO response. That was 2 weeks ago. I can only presume from this that the vehicle does not actually exist. Beware fraudulent advertiser!

Excellent and professional service throughout

I was extremely satisfied with Shane, who sold me 2001 BMW.What I was most impressed with was he covered large portion of immediate repair with cooling system, and I was quite pleased and grateful that skyway classics had done that for me.Shane kept his word that dealership would reimburse me for important repairs and replacement parts, and Shane made that entire purchasing experience great 👍 with prompt response to my BMW.I would recommend Skyway Classics to anyone looking for professional and courteous service in purchasing a classic car or truck through Shane who made an excellent impression

BUYER BEWARE !!

BUYER BEWARE!! We bought a car that was on consignment, or so we were told. We found a company that does a detailed inspection of classic cars. We were told by Al Tanski that they do not allow the company we chose because they are too "picky". That should have been our first clue. We put our trust in Al & his son Max. Our first mistake. We were told the car had a new battery. We were told the car had 80% brake life. We were told the car had a good convertible top. We were told that all the gaskets & seals were new. We were told to get an estimate for delivery & their guy would match it. What we ended up with was far from what we were sold. First, the delivery was almost twice the estimate we sent them. The battery was dead when we got it. The top needed to be replaced. The car had many leaks & required most seals & gaskets to be replaced. The transmission leaked & required new seals & a new torque converter. Yes, the brakes had 80% life but the brake shoes were so far out of adjustment, the brake pedal went to the floor & barely stopped the car. This was an accident waiting to happen. We were told these were the old type of brakes & you had to press hard on the brake pedal. Well, we did & the brake pedal went to the floor & had to be held there to get the car to stop. When fixing the transmission, the mechanic found that the frame was bent. In short, we have had to put an additional $20K into this car just to make it drivable & safe. We were taken advantage. Al is a smooth talker but strays far from the truth. There is a reason he does not do email or text & prefers phone calls. There is no paper trail & he denies everything. We recommend you follow any conversation with an email or text to memorialize what has been said & agreed to. Skyway made an offer to rectify this. It was they could try & sell it on consignment, trade it in on another car or they would buy it back. However, we would have to pay to transport it to them & they wanted a complete inspection, something they talked us out of. We would have lost almost $30K had we accepted these "offers" to satisfy a customer. Watch out. They are smooth talkers who will suck you in then you will find out later that you have been screwed. BUYER BEWARE.
