My wife and I recently purchased a certified pre-owned Acura MDX from Acura of Mobile. We originally only visited the dealership to drive the vehicle to see if we liked the model. We did not intend to purchase that particular vehicle as the price was a bit higher than we wanted. Dillon Strunck was patient with us as we test drove the vehicle and did not pressure us at all. Nearly a week later Dillon followed up with us to check and see if we had any other questions. Sean Gleason then followed up and we were able to come to an agreement on the price of the vehicle within just a couple of hours of discussion back and forth through texting and phone calls. I REALLY appreciated not feeling pressured and Dillon's and Sean's willingness to deal with me primarily via email and text (my preferred methods) as we live 45+ minutes from the dealership and it's difficult for me to be on the phone during the day with my job. We are very pleased with the vehicle and customer service we received at Acura of Mobile.

Good buying experience

Hassle Free Shopping Experience
I researched vehicles online. I completed online interest forms for two dealerships. Crystal contacted me the next business day and scheduled an appointment for me to meet Rich later that same day. Upon arrival Rich was waiting and familiar with what I was looking for. He showed me several vehicles. Throughout the process he asked about what was important to me. I never felt any pressure. Two days later, I drove home in my new vehicle. When I got home the sales person from the other dealership called about me coming in.

Great customer service
I dread shopping for cars which is the reason I'll drive a vehicle for 5 or 6 years before I get something newer. The staff at Joe Bullard Acura made the process a pleasure. Kate Havard, the salesperson I worked with, listened to what I wanted/needed and didn't try to show me things that were over my budget or didn't have my "must haves". I originally wanted to test drive 2 vehicles on the lot and she also showed me another option I hadn't considered, but met all of my needs. I ended up purchasing a CPO 2012 Acura MDX Tech and I love it. David Lammons in the Business office was great with Financing options and worked hard to get me a great interest rate. I'm looking forward to taking my MDX in for it's first oil change so I can see everyone again.

Horror Story or Make sure you have a duplicate key
My daughter lost the electronic key to my 2010 Acura TL. I had no way to start my car. As I was visiting my Dad in Long Beach, Mississippi the local Honda dealer could not program a new key for me and the nearest Acura dealer was 80 miles away, I had to pay for a $220 tow to the dealer in Mobile, AL. My dad went to the dealer in Mobile with the tow truck driver to bring the car back to me in what was suppose to be a 45 minute job. He arrived with the car at about 10 AM on March 30, 2015. After about 3 hours the service department told him that they were having trouble programing the new key and were on the line with the Acura Technical Center. Finally at about 4PM they said the car/key programing was completed and my dad drove the car 80 miles back to Long Beach, MS. I was suppose to leave immediately to go back to my home in Jasper, AL (near Birmingham, AL) but when I tried to load my suitcases in the trunk I find that the new remote will not open the trunk and the button release will not work either. I had no access to the trunk. The metal key they cut for the door would not work either. As one of my tires was losing air pressure I wanted to have it check before my trip but now I can't because the tire lock key is in my trunk which I can not access. I can't put all my suitcases in the back seat as their would be no place for my daughters to sit. The Joe Bullard Acura of Mobile technical staff seems to be totally unqualified to program a electronic key for an Acura and is very callous about checking their work after completion. I am now stuck 80 miles from an Acura Dealer with a car that I can't put anything in the trunk, a dangerous low pressure tire that if I have a problem on the road I can't change the tire because the tire lock is in the trunk..... Not sure what to do but I do not want to take the car back to Joe Bullard's Acure technical staff so I hope I can make it to the Birmingham Acura dealer (which is 300+ miles away) with my kids siting on top of the suitcases and bags of stuff. It is very difficult to put seatbelts on them with all the luggage. After spending $159 for a key, $220 for a tow and $56 program charge (they tried to charge me $119 but I was quoted $55 on the phone) for a total of $434 I get an almost unusable car..... NOT A GOOD DEAL and a good reason not to every consider an Acura again. Update: Danny the service manager just called me (3/31/15) to apologize for the problems and offered to refund my payment and cover reprogramming expenses if necessary at the Acura dealer in Birmingham. All the service people were very nice, my only problem is that the technical staff did not fully check the functions of the new electronic key before returning the car to me. This created the problem and could have caused other major problems if I were to have a tire failure and could not get my wheel lock out of the trunk.... All is forgiven! Suggestion..... Acura needs to have the Honda dealers equipped with the ability to program a key for Acura cars. The dealers technical staff needs to check all the functions of keys after they program them. The technical staff should be better trained and qualified to work on these cars. Personally I would prefer a much less sophisticated and expensive key system from Acura.

Overall the best in town!!
After visiting different dealerships in the past and for my most recent experience, I can honestly say Joe Bullard Acura of Mobile has been the best. Thanks to Mr. John Mcbryde for being a GREAT salesman and David Lammons for the awesome extended warranty.
