Direct Auto Sales

Purchased a used vehicle - no check engine lights. I live in NY, and after purchase it still had no CEL. I parked if when I got home because all the DMV offices closed due to Corona and couldn't get it registered / inspected. Things opened back up, and I got the registration taken care of with a temp 10 day inspection. I took it to a certified mechanic shop to get the inspection and it failed. Multiple error codes that would have for sure thrown a check engine light. Researched the issue further, and come to find out that bulb had been disabled/removed. I contacted the dealer got some run around. I said they could send me the money for OEM parts if I bought them, or they could buy them at a possible dealer price and ship them to me. The owner told me that they bought it used and they don't run a scan tool on them. After he told me that the scan they ran said there was a turbo solenoid issue that it detected. Not sure what scan can pick that up, not a bad Mass Airflow Sensor / Bad Coilpack / Bad O2 sensor (which all would have thrown the light if the light was working). Offered to buy it back and resell it online and I said no, I can fix it, but I can't allow you to re-sell it to another person knowing you won't fix it and have them eat the cost. They have been contacted twice so far by the BBB and still have not replied to them. I will also be reaching out to the PA attorney general again that they have also not replied to. Watch out for these crooks.

My husband recently bought a car from Direct Auto and it couldn't have been any easier. The owner, Al was most professional and straitforward with us. He explained all details and answered all questions we had. We bought a great used car for a very reasonable price. Would definitely return if we need to buy another car!
