Absolute lack of communication even from the higher up

Absolute lack of communication even from the higher up management level. I would t recommend it. The manager got very aggressive and acted like I was the issue. I have all their emails that are time stamped to show their ineptitude.

I really appreciated this dealership, although the

I really appreciated this dealership, although the process was slow, I did appreciate the 24 hour test drive and that I knew I had financing pre-approved before I went in. It was a little frustrating that the financing changed while I was there, but I understood why. THe finance manager was really nice, and I appreciated that everyone was really nice. It just seemed to take a long time.

Eli and Tyler were amazing.

Eli and Tyler were amazing. I ordered a car on 9/20, to be in the Salem dealership by 9/29, by 10/2 still had not moved. Eli worked so hard to get it to me. Tyler made the process at the dealership easy! Thank you I still have issues with CarMax in general not doing what it said it would but the Salem dealership itself is great!

Impressed with sales staff, but disappointed that the

Impressed with sales staff, but disappointed that the instrument panel lens was damaged and could not be cleaned and that the car was delivered with this flaw. After 2 weeks we are still waiting for service appointment.

I would be very careful buying a car from carmax.

I would be very careful buying a car from carmax.It's been over the ten day period for me purchasing my car and I am finding all sorts of issues with it.Make sure that you look over everything very carefully

Everyone from the first notification that we had entered

Everyone from the first notification that we had entered into the system to the final purchase was extremely professional. They have continued to keep us informed as the post-sales registration process continues to get the car registered/titled in a separate state (WA). Most impressive was the sales manager's (Nick Taylor) willingness to pay for transporting the car to Salem from Texas after it was discovered that the car was the wrong color (light grey, not white). Due to his exceptional offer, we elected to purchase the car despite being the wrong color. Overall, we were very pleased and impressed with all of the dealership members we worked with. We would definitely recommend them as a top choice to purchase a car.

Employees very friendly and sort of helpful.

Employees very friendly and sort of helpful. Lots of promises, no follow through. Had to go through signing e-docs three times: 1) received email docs evening before delivery date along with emails canceling appointment and reservation. Called rescheduled delivery. 2) Asked for modified docs w/o MaxCare, said they would send, nothing arrived, called again, was sent an expired link. Called again. 3) Filled out docs by date on email, received email that delivery was canceled. Would have been great if someone explained that docs had to be completed two days before the scheduled delivery NOT the date on the email. Called and rescheduled delivery 4) Finally, completed docs . 5) Received email requesting extra info from me, called and found out that email was valid if I was financing the car, but I was paying cash. 6) Car delivered. 7) Promised to send paper copy of e-signed docs, nothing received. Will have to call again for copies and to see if Time-of-Sale report was actually filed for federal tax credit. If the report wasn't filed, my patience is at an end.

New car from CarMax Salem with Rep. Elijah Combs

It was my old cars time to go (Gloria) at work my coworker brought up CarMax as he just got a new pickup truck from them. My partner and I scheduled an appointment for a viewing Wednesday the 6th. I had to keep adding water to my car so she can take us there. I was nervous as this was my first time purchasing a car. IT WAS THE CAR IVE BEEN WANTING :) and Elijah Combs was our representative. He had great hospitality, customer service skills, had an amazing slime and over all made the experience of our first time comfortable and exciting!! ( I definitely had that anxiety lol) no tricks, no games. He helped us with getting set up with full coverage insurance and making sure we get our registration. I am very grateful to have had this thrilling experience and he was just as excited for us as we were. I definitely recommend him and the CarMax crew to any one whom is looking to get a new car. The rates are great and I can't wait to come back. Thank you Elijah Combs for making this journey worth wild.
