Bad customer service and no communication

My experience at this dealership has been a total joke. I initially took my car in to have my mirrors fixed, they said my car would be ready that day. It wasn’t until 2 days later they called and said I could pick it up. After I drove away I realized that nothing had been fixed. When I drove back they then told me that they had to order a special part that would be in the next week. Not sure why my car was held there if nothing got done. Two weeks later after continuously calling the part finally came in. Prior to my appointment I was promised that I would get transportation to and from work. They were unable to provide that but said to send my receipts to one of the managers, still waiting to get confirmation that she received the email. Throughout the day I called multiple times to ask for an update but all of the calls consisted of 20 minute hold times. Finally at the end of the day the car was “ready”. Before I left I made sure to check if the mirrors were fixed and only one of them was working. They said they are gonna order the part, can’t wait to see how long that takes. I’m so disappointed and completely frustrated with this whole situation. I don’t plan on returning to this dealership after my mirror gets replaced.

Sales manager didn't follow through as he said he would.

Sales manager didn't follow through as he said he would. Salesman was unfamiliar with the vehicle we were looking at and couldn't answer basic questions about it.

DONT GO..

Dont buy any car from these guys, They have many hidden charges, Below Care Free Paint Protection ($1,295)- Interior & Exterior paint, and fabric protection for the car. Elo Gps (599)- GPS tracker for the car, with a phone app with car location, miles, and route tracker. Nitro Fill Tires (199)- Nitro fill tires for better mpg & more life for your tires. This includes a 1 year protection for any Tire Damage & 3 years of refill service here at the dealership. Pro Door Protection (399)- plastic guards in place on door edges and handles.

A circus run by clowns apparently.

This place is very unprofessional. Rude old school dealership vibe. Call for a manager get left on hold forever. Be very careful, check their bbb reviews and ratings. Their used vehicle inventory is tricky. They tried to sell me a Oklahoma, rental car, like it was a California consumer car. Of course with a tiny bit of research their scam is exposed. Jessenya is cut throat and rude. This place is a joke.

The service advisor Ruben Barrera had very poor handling

The service advisor Ruben Barrera had very poor handling in my case for engine recall. Not only did he have poor service and wrong information; but also his whole department. My car took a month to replace my lemon engine and I got stuck with car rental bills after being promised the company will reimburse me. I will never return or make any purchases here again. Urge you to stay away!

Hands down the best experience

We have been shopping for a specific pre-owned Kia for about a month now. Have visited two dealers prior to Van Nuys Kia and interacted with about 8 other dealers via text, phone or email. Hands down, Umer Farooq at Van Nuys Kia is the absolute best. We had a price in mind that we were willing to pay, asked him to let us know if he had any cars that fit our criteria and send a written breakdown of the total out-the-door price. And he did! I’m sure the dealership made money on our deal, as they should, yet their offer was $5k less than a very similar car we had seen two days earlier. Not only that, he was professional, and very pleasant to deal with. Anyone who has spent time car shopping knows how tiresome it can be. I can not say enough good things about our experience with Umer. No surprises and no headaches. a superior experience all around, with special touches like the big red bow on the car for pics and a gong inside the dealership my son could hit to celebrate his very first car.

I am on my 4th KIA - love the cars and always had good

I am on my 4th KIA - love the cars and always had good experiences UNTIL I had to deal with Van Nuys KIA. Warning - Stay away from their service department. They will perform services not needed and then you are stuck with the bill. Service Manager is no help and only option is to file a complain in small claims court!

Russell is the best!

If you are looking into buying a Kia, look no further than Kia Van Nuys. The sales consultant who helped me is Russell, and when I say he is the best of the best, I mean it. Not only is he so kind (and honestly, very funny), he was so caring and considerate of all of my needs. From financial concerns, to helping me test drive and find a car that would fit my lifestyle, Russell was so incredibly honest and transparent throughout the whole car buying process. He helped me tailor an accessory package that would reflect what I wanted in a car based on his incredible attention to detail and personable approach. He is also incredibly communicative, and helped me come to the best deal I could get for my car. I really cannot recommend Russell enough for your car buying needs - he is the absolute best.

Kia Service Center issues - Big Time

My wife had her 2015 Kia Optima Hybrid towed into the show after it stalled on the highway. Ruben Berra called us and informed us it would be $3,000 to repair. I looked for recalls and found one for a sensor that Ruben was going to charge us $1600 to repair. We challenged him on this is and he then had the awesome reply of he had entered to code for a non-hybrid version of our car for why he never found the code. What's $1600 nowadays. Obviously not much to Ruben. I also challenged the fact that he said our 12 volt battery was dead, cause I had changed it myself (you are allowed to do that) a little over a year earlier. He said he'd leave it inside the trunk. (Opened our trunk and nothing was there after leaving the dealership....YAY!). Also, he let my wife know in exchange for getting a new battery ($393.05) and having all the 50,000 mile fluids changed ($900) that he'd throw in a $90 oil change free oil change. Guess what...? Now we're $1,400 in the hole without our original battery and we were charged $90 oil change fee. Thank you for your service Ruben and not charging us $3000. It's the least you could do.
