The salesman was great and met my needs and deal. He didn't insult my intelligence. But it also shouldn't have taken a big run around by management to acquire this. I renounced what I could afford and the first deal was too high. If I got the deal I was looking for in the end then it shouldn't have taken a bunch of haggling to achieve this. It should have been a flat out yes or no in the beginning.

Great service.
The service department knows me fairly well but has treated me great from day one. I wouldn't bring my vehicles any where else period. They always go out of there way to help me wether I need to borrow a vehicle or just have questions. 100% satisfied!

Bad Dealer Update
I had written a review on January 4th about a 2015 GMC SLE being sold out from under me. I am happy to report that Dave Gifford and Ralph Farnsworth went above and beyond to make it up to me. I ended up getting a 2014 Crew Cab, Chevrolet. I spent a bit more money but I received a vehicle with less miles and the crew cab version. So overall I am very happy. Dave personally worked with me, when they were extremely busy, to make sure I was happy. Therefore, I would recommend this dealer, especially Ralph Farnsworth as a salesman.

Buyer beware--prices not as advertised
Advertised pricing is deceiving. Once you go to Newport dealership, they come up with a bunch of price disclaimers--not disclosed over the phone or on their website, raising price by thousands. Sneaky. Do not waste your time.

Newport Chevrolet a good place to buy.
I have bought 4 vehicles from them and my father just bought a new truck and my sister just bought a new truck. I tell friends to shop there. There service is and has been great to me. I feel like I know everyone there and they know me. They have been very good to me and my family and have gone out of there way to help me out.

Bad Dealer
So I went to purchase a 2015 GMC SLE. I should have known what type of service I would receive once it took more than 10 minutes before anyone greeted me as I stood in the showroom. Before leaving for the dealership asked if the truck was deliverable during my visit. They assured me it was. I then drove an hour to go and see the truck only to find that the truck had been taken home by an employee. Mind you I didn't wait all day to go. I left 30 minutes after receiving their assurance it was there. They apologized and offered to drive the truck to me the next day so I agreed. The next day came and I waited for a text stating what time they would be there as we had agreed upon the night before. The Used Car Sales Manager, named Matt, did not return my text nor did he return my calls. I texted him the following day asking if I could expect the truck to be brought to my house that day. I was contacted by the Business Manager stating that the truck had sold and he didn't know any of the information I had agreed to with the Used Car Sales Manager. I stated that he agreed to bring the truck to my house to look at since it wasn't there as stated it would be. He said that he was unaware of that and that he couldn't do anything else since the truck had sold. I asked him if he thought that was the way his General Manager would want them conducting business to which he stated he would not. I have asked to speak to the GM, as he was unavailable when I asked to speak to them, but he has yet to return my phone call. I wouldn't have been so upset had I not SPECIFICALLY asked if the vehicle was deliverable upon my visit as I didn't want to make the hour each way trip on a separate occasion. Not only did they state it was there but ready for delivery. Then Matt offered to bring the truck to my home for the inconvenience. I asked what he intended to do about a possible trade and he said they would drive my car back to look at it. Again, the issue was I called and sent him a text to which he did not reply or return my phone calls. I could go on about how disappointed I am in this dealership but I am not sure it would make a difference. I should have known when they received less than superb reviews. Now I know why. As the old saying goes Caveat emptor. And that couldn't apply any more to this dealership.
