Red Jeep 2013

I just bought a used vehicle a few months ago and I'm thankful because the vehicle I came from was going to cost just as much as a down payment. The employees are very informative, friendly, and helpful. I started working with Ms. Chelly (very helpful), then ended up with Mr. Carlos(?) who walked me through the whole process (first time buying a vehicle). Mr. Carlos(?) knows his "stuff", when I found a few things wrong with the vehicle he was Johnny on the spot (thank you sir). I would highly recommend him when trying to purchase a new or used vehicle at Libertyville Chevrolet. Now if you want your vehicle fixed right the first time, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Mr. Arthur (Art). 5 Hour Nightmare

Went to the dealer to sell my 2019 F150 and get a new truck. The online price was $44,999 for the 2022 Silverado. They added over $8,000 dollars to that price and said that was normal and all dealers are doing it due to the new car shortage. So i took all that in and got what i could on extras. But was promised a lot more, but only if i gave a good review for the salesman that took care of me. That right there is dishonest and i really felt like i was being blackmailed to get the extra things that were promised. When i first did a review i was contacted by someone that follows up with reviews and she said she would meet with the salesman and they would see about a gas card and some other extras that i could use. All i got was a call from the salesman wanting a good review before i would receive the extras. Also after looking over a few receipts i noticed that the billing for some of my stuff was falsified. I had sold back the tires and rims and getting $200 for those and another $300 for a discount on one of the packages that i really didn't want. But on the receipt it said buying back rims for $500. Nothing about the discount on the package. Next i looked at the bill for installing the side steps and cover all floor mats. First the bill said $902 for the side steps. But i had the ones for $785 put on. Then we have the floor mats. They billed for the rear mats being put in and i am the one that put them in after they were shipped to me. Definitely having buyers remorse and would not recommend this place unless you haver everything set in stone before arriving. And get everything promised up front.

Bad deals waiting

Hopefully this can help someone. I am a first time car purchaser. This place will try their best to put on extra fees and whatever else they can add. Please consider going somewhere else, they will take advantage of you.

Dishonest Dealer - go elsewhere

Libertyville Chevrolet engages in deceitful and dishonest sales tactics including falsely stating prices in advertisements, falsely claiming to beat any competitive offer, and claiming to offer free incentives that are not free. These tactics fly in the face of the doctrine of good faith and fair dealing and instill a sense of distrust. We contacted Libertyville Chevrolet about a vehicle we saw on their website – Stock No. T29060, VIN: 2GNAXWEVXN6104654 We had previously found and put a deposit down on a nearly identical but slightly better equipped vehicle at another reputable and reliable dealer. Their MSRP and their actual selling price was $37,790 with an out the door price of $40,661 including sales tax. The only issue - there was a 2-to-3-week delivery timeframe. After more than 10 phone and email exchanges we decided to go with the vehicle at Libertyville Chevrolet because their vehicle was on the lot already. When finalizing the pricing we were informed there would be a “Market Adjustment” which was nearly $6,000 over THEIR advertised price. Despite their empty rhetoric, Libertyville Chevrolet refused to honor the competitive price even though we offered to show them the VIN No. and dealer invoice from their competitor. We purchased the vehicle from the reputable dealer WITH NO B.S. “Market Adjustment” and a confirmed delivery date of March 8. GM’s MSRP includes healthy profit margins for their dealers. The so-called market adjustment is just a way for Libertyville Chevrolet and other unscrupulous dealers to fleece their customers. Their advertised pricing is just a ploy to get victims in the door. Save your self a headache and a ton of money by going elsewhere!

Ease of doing business

Bought a pre-owned car and buying transaction was not stressful. Since I had to drive 2 hours to make the purchase we agreed on the price over the phone. Stephanie and Drew followed up continously to make sure we are coming and kept all the paperwork ready. Mike explained everything nicely and showed interest and relationships for future business. It was worth 2 hours drive. We hope the car turns out to be as reliable as the dealership that sold it.

Great experience buying my wife's new car!

We were recently looking for an SUV for my wife. Saw a Red Chevy Equinox in the parking lot that caught our eye. Young salesman Marvin Uribe came out and talked with us. He could tell I didn't really want to talk, just look. But Marvin was so respectful of us and our desires. He did not pressure us at all, just gave us helpful information and let us make the decision. No cheesy sales gimmicks or anything. We looked at other models in other dealerships, but came back to Libertyville Chevy. Our trade-in situation was complicated and the car was more expensive than we were comfortable with; but general manager Rick Danca found a way to work it all out for us. Finance Director Mike Cardona was very knowledgeable, personable and a blast to deal with. My wife now has her new car and we couldn't be happier with our experience. Thank you Marvin, Rick, and Mike! We highly recommend Libertyville Chevrolet.
