Won't give you time of day!

Salesman busy eating lunch to acknowledge us. Had to ask about car and rest drive it without taking our license or asking what we were interested in seeing.

TSX shopping

The dealership looked nice, clean, etc...I was looking for a TSX, either leftover 2011 or 2012. The salesman tried very hard to make a deal right then and there, but was also unable or unwilling to negotiate price, so I left. I bought a VW Passat a few days later.

My husband and I are usually very cautious when it comes to dealerships, so when it came time to return our over-mileage Acura MDX needless to say we were extra cautious. We came upon Valley Stream Acura as a result of a terrible experience we had over at Paragon. We came in looking to speak to the Finance representative and since it was Saturday, no one was available, that's when Steve volunteered to help us. He was very sympathizing with our situation and made us feel safe. He was able to offer us a comfortable deal and most importantly he was honest. On the day we picked up the car, we brought in our two sons, 4 year old & 21 month old and they practically ravaged Steve's candy jar. Steve acknowledged them, made conversation with them and even posed like the Hulk for out little one, at one point it didn't feel like we were in a dealership but in a friends' living room talking. Thank you so much Steve for an anxiety-free and smooth experience and for letting our kids be kids in your office. God bless you!

Went in today and Steve gave me good price on my trade in and a new car. Very honest guy considering he is a salesman and he seemed genuine and looked like he enjoyed working with us which made me buy the car from him instead of some other fancy dealer in NJ that offered similar pricing. He didn't try to upsell, trick or force me to get a tech package and I appreciate it because I felt comfortable whereas the other overly aggressive dealers (plaza auto mall is worst) I visited over the week left a bad impression. Third car I bought in my lifetime and this was my quickest decision. I was going to keep shopping around but felt valley stream deserved my business.

This is the worst place to buy a car. They would take advantage of you especially if you dont know much about bying a car. I was quoted a price and was charged a couple thousand dollars extra on my invoiced. When i asked about it they give my a bunch of reason for it trying to confuse me numbers and taxes and warranty etc. Well im really great with numbers so i was able to figure out they were trying to make some money of me. When I explaned to then the error they made they threatened me raised my apr., then telling me they made a mistake on the warranty quote, and were telling me Mike made a mistake and then Mike would tell me the accountant made a mistake and so on they go. Because i had signed that piece of paper there was nothing i could do but write this review.

I would never recommend this dealership to anyone. Just like the reviewer below we had some warranty work done with replacing the rack and pinion and when my husband picks up the car after 1.5 weeks he hears a thumping noise in the car when he hits the brakes. Don't understand what happened but Norm claims that it wasn't his fault I don't understand whose at fault but we bought this car only 1 year ago and I have spent over 3k$ on this car not fair!

Would NEVER do business here!

I called about a used vehicle and spoke with TWO different sales people. Immediately I felt like I was wasting their time with my questions. Very impolite and very unwilling to compromise anything. They female sales person actually hung up on me. BUYER beware!!!!!

I have purchased a lot of cars and I have to say this was probably my all time best experience. Steve was always nice, upfront, realistic, honest, and friendly. He was always attentive to my needs. I probably bothered him with tons of emails and he responded to everyone promptly. He really made it a good experience and he is a straight shooter and will tell you like it is. He doesn't sugar coat it. He didn't spend a lot of time when I took delivery of the car but I was in a rush and I was going to figure it out on my own, but he did say to come back whenever and he would walk me through everything. Don't be discouraged because of the dealerships appearance. I could care less if you have marble floors fancy chairs etc. I'm there to buy a car not to take pictures for a decor magazine. I don't know if they plan on moving or renovating but I could really care less. On the other hand their service department is brand new and honestly you'll be spending more time in service over the life of your vehicle than you will be in sales. The Service department staff is extremely nice and friendly. They give accurate prices etc and always return your cars. The GM i forget his name is a really nice guy. My only gripe about service is if you want a loaner you have to request it when you make an appointment and usually those appointments are 3 weeks from the time you call for one as opposed to making an appointment without a loaner and getting an appointment that same week or the next week. All in all this is an excellent dealership and I would buy from them again.

I would highly recommend this dealer. Steve was a pleasure to deal with. Honest pricing. Everything that was promised at time of sale was honored. This is my second Acura and I will def recommend this dealer to my family and friends. At time of delivery Steve went over the entire car, and spent a decent amount of time with me, going over all of the accessories

Buying my Acura from STEVE VERGA was an AMAZING experience. His professionalism is balanced by his friendliness and grace. The Service department however has continued to make my life considerably difficult since the beginning. A) They up-sell EVERYTHING. It has gotten to the point of a running joke between me and my friends who go there secondary to the warranty coverage. We have had our cars checked out for specific issues prior to arriving at the Valley Stream service department only to have Acura add on a half-dozen "needed" services each time. I'm sure this commonplace for all dealerships...but that doesn't make it any less frustrating. B) They incorrectly installed the rack and pinion (under warranty) which ruined my steering and handling. Granted, i didn't bring it back them when i started having steering issues as i don't trust them...so i am partially at fault for dragging the issue on. C) After correcting issue 'B'.....without admitting fault of course....they incorrectly performed a wheel alignment which was blatantly off by their own computer's specs. When i questioned it, Ivan gave me a bogus answer that was ridiculous enough to get two unrelated customers laughing simultaneously. I insisted that the alignment be perfected...and it was...after arguing with them. What was "impossible" became possible with a little focus and diligence. D) After correcting 'C', they addressed my Navigation issues which were straightforward: it worked fine once it initiated, but there was a delay in booting up. I asked them to "CHECK IT OUT." I did not consent to a repair. I was not informed of the risks/benefits/alternatives to the request. After they evaluated it, the entire Navigation system is now non-functional...along with my clock and audio controls. Had i known that they were going to assassinate the entire system....or had i known that there was a risk of such...i would have simply dealt with the delay. I believe they intentionally sabotaged the system assuming my after-market warranty program would replace it....they did not. After the fact, they want $4,500 to replace the system.....a system that was functional when i brought it to them. I hope i can get some justice within the legal system over the next few months....because unfortunately ethics alone is not enough to drive this Service department. J.C
