So we took our little 20yr old mercedes that's in pristine condition it's been garaged kept its whole life to smithtown mercedes in St. Jamess NY... What a mistake!!!!! We took it for a recall on the sunroof that worked fine and when we got it back there was multiple chips and scratches on the car, the sunroof now broken, and they told us the motor was broken ( which we knew that was a lie because we opened and cloesd it before we took the car in ) then we asked them if the motor was broken how did they open it, which they said first it was broken when it came in then they said it broke when it was opened.. then I asked what about the dent on the roof and all the scratches on the side, they said they were there ,I noticed they took pictures of the car when it first went in, I asked to see them.. they saw it too, there was no dent and no scratches...lol.. So let's see what they will do and how they will respond to this... p.s. I have all pictures and videos to prove and support everything I said...

Let me start off my saying I dislike shopping for cars. However, my experience with Mercedes in Smithtown was probably one of the best I’ve had. From the moment I walked in to the moment I left, every interaction was pleasant and I was treated with respect. Paul was professional and courteous to me and my family. He was wonderful. Valentine, another top notch professional. Both were very attentive to my needs and budget. Overall the experience was great and I walked out of there with a new car! They have a customer for life. Highly recommended.

I’ve had a negative experience from the start and it just
I’ve had a negative experience from the start and it just continues. My first time ever stepping foot at the dealership I was looking to purchase and the salesman made me feel like I was an inconvenience to him. Didn’t ask my name, brought up a vehicle for me to look at but didn’t ask my timeline, pricing, trade in, etc… just stood there, so I left. A week later I decided to go back and try again since they are the only local dealership that sells sprinters. Same experience if not worse. I “worked” with a different salesman who didn’t even ask my name and after I told him what I was looking for he then pointed me to their inventory lot and said to take a look and see if I see anything, while he went back inside. So my BF and I went in the back on our own to look at vans. I didn’t know that it would be so difficult to purchase a van or find a salesman that wanted to sell a vehicle. Because I wasn’t dressed like their usual clientele I believe that is why no one wanted to help me at all. 2 separate visits and the same experience…??? I will say I was eventually able to get assistance from Valentine and he helped me get the van that I was looking for. Him and Peter (finance) worked with me until I took ownership of the sprinter. 80 miles later on my brand new sprinter and the check engine light came on, the gas gauge stopped working and the vehicle had issues with accelerating. My service adviser was great (Debbie) but the tech was saying because I kept the car idling while I ran into a store, I’m the one that caused the issues… very unlikely but I disregarded the comment and Debbie had the vehicle returned to me ahead of schedule. Fast forward, my temporary tags expired so I sent an email to finance (who helped me previously with tag stuff) AND left a message with the manager since I didn’t actually have a sales rep with zero response. It takes me driving to the dealership just for a simple question to be answered. It’s really unfortunate that the receptionists have been the nicest to me throughout this whole process and that didn’t change during any of my visits. Those ladies need more recognition

Whenever I bring my car in for service the service is performed quickly and correctly the first time. I believe the pricing to be fair and I don’t believe that they try to sell me unnecessary service. The advisors are knowledgeable and very helpful.

MB of Smithtown always makes sure my cars are properly
MB of Smithtown always makes sure my cars are properly serviced. Had a surprise maintenance issue that rendered the car unusable, an air ride component failure, and had to leave the car there, using late drop off for the first time. That was a Sunday evening. Fortunately, my car was repaired and ready for pickup Monday morning, as though it never had an issue! Thank you MB of Smitown, it takes everyone to make the whole experience as good as it is, and it’s appreciated.
