I lost an 09 in the Sandy Hurricane, and I loved that car. So I went for the same car again in a 2013 and it is 10 time better. I love the car and love Platinum. Platinum is a pleasure to deal with. Nuff said.

GREAT SERVICE AND EXCELLENT HELP
I NEEDED A CAR I COULD SIT IN AND DRIVE IN COMFORT. I HAVE A BAD BACK AND COULD NOT SIT IN MOST CARS - THE SEATS ARE HARD AND PRESS ON MY BI-LATERAL SCIATIC NERVE CONDITION. DOC UNDERSTOOD THIS AND DIDN'T TREAT ME LIKE SOME NUTTY WOMAN. WE WENT THOUGHT SEVERAL CARS AND THEN HE LOCATED A CAR JUST LIKE MY HUSBANDS CAR WITH THE GREAT SEATS - TOLD US TO COME BACK NEXT DAY AND WE DID AND HE HAD THE CAR THERE. I SAT IN IT AND DROVE IT AND PURCHASED IT. DOC REALLY GOES THE EXTRA MILE IN HELPING CUSTOMERS. SO FAR WE HAVE SENT 2 PEOPLE TO HIM AND THEY IN TURN HAVE SENT 2 MORE. SO FAR THE CAR AND I GET ALONG WITH NO PROBLEMS (BACK WISE). I CAN DRIVE FOR LONG PERIODS OF TIME WITH NO COMPLAINTS. THANKS

Purchasing a CPO VW
I purchased a VW TDI from Platinum back in 2009 and it was a enjoyable transaction. My wife enjoyed the seating comfort of the VW TDI and after traveling the USA in it for 3 years mentioned that she wanted a new car. We went back to Platinum and looked at both new cars and CPO cars for approx 2 hours. My wife wanted a GTI for the seats that are used on that model. They had a CPO 2011 GTI 4 door that we brought and my wife could not be happier. They spend about 45 minutes showing her how everything worked and i was quite impressed. The car was clean and serviced upon delivery.

Waste of time
While the sales person was nice,the experience of buying a car from this dealership was a waste of time. Agreed on a price for a new car when it was time to look at my trade in the manager insulted me with what he was offering and would not even negotiate the trade in value, went to another volkwagon dealer the same day got the same price on the same exact new car and they gave me 2 thousand more for my trade in from the start.

Crappy dealer streak broken!
I've recently come off a long run of poor dealer experiences, so I must say it was pleasant to finally have an excellent one! Recently scheduled a service appointment with Platinum VW for a recall on my 2011 Volkswagen Golf TDI. When I checked in with JoAnne the service writer, she noted that the 20K service had not been performed by the dealer that had just sold me the vehicle (according to VW's dealer intranet). This was puzzling, since the vehicle was at 20K when I purchased it, and was Certified Pre-Owned (we surmise that either the selling dealership had either not logged the 20K service, or simply never completed it. Sloppy either way.). In any event, VW covers the service and Platinum offered to do it again, just to be sure that it was done. The service and recall fix were completed in about 90 minutes. The facility was clean and offered wi-fi so I was able to work while I waited, which was great. About 5 miles after leaving Platinum, the "low tire pressure" warning came on. I called JoAnne and she asked me to turn around. Mike the Service Manager personally greeted me, apologized for the inconvenience and had the problem immediately fixed (evidently, when tires are rotated, the tire system needs to be reset). Despite the hitch, the staff was helpful, efficient and pleasant. I was so pleased that I asked them to mount a new tire that I was planing to have done at a tire and lube shop to save money. To my surprise, this customer-pay service was cheaper than the tire and lube shop!

Surprising experience
I was expecting a typical new car buying experience (lack of honesty, aggressiveness, etc) BUT the guys here were nothing but straightforward, honest and valued my time. Granted, I did most of my communicating via emails at first. All in all a great experience.

Lied to
So I purchased a vehicle from these guys. Luckily I knew my bits about cars & their values. Platinum VW overprices on many of their vehicles and and lies to customers about the price that they get the car for (gave me a ridiculous price and said "this is what we pay for this car". I've met with several dealers and Platinum VW was by far the worst.

Average Shopping Experience
I purchased a certified pre-owned Passat from this dealer. The only great part about my experience with them, in hind site, was the actual price I paid. Maybe it supposed to be this way but I was hoping that buying a CPO car would somewhat resemble the new car buying experience, at least when it comes to having the car washed and vacuumed prior to delivery. The dealer did a very mediocre job at that. In addition, except for the marketing materials no other documents actually showed any proof that the car was certified and carried the warranty. I had to call a different VW dealer service department to find out if the car was indeed under warranty by supplying the VIN number. My multiple attempts to obtain some written proof from the dealer itself have been in vain so far. I have a feeling that once they received my payment in full for the car they lost any desire to follow up on any outstanding customer inquiries from me including my overpayment of the title and registration fees. To sum everything up, my customer experience with Platinum Volkswagen was average at best.
