Bait and switch

I usually avoid bringing my wife to car negotiations but decided to let her watch the process. We chose Mohawk because it is 1/4 mile from my90 year old Uncle, whom we care for and visit frequently. We also used Kelly Blue Book which shopped our 2007 Envoy around to various dealers, with a fictitious value. So Mohawk contacts us, one of three dealerships to do so. We had seen the CRV ad on TV for AWD, $2100 down, $199 per month. Our sales person at first said there was no such ad, then brought up an ad for a 2 wheel drive CRV for $199, and explained that we were mistaken. We were not, but this is typical of every Honda dealer I have ever visited. This includes Rensselaer Honda, Saratoga Honda, and Keeler Honda. So I let it slide. After our Envoy was inspected, we told our salesperson we wanted to trade for a 2016 CRV AWD. We chose an SE model which is $600 more than the LX. Of course you know this. So the dealing starts at giving us $1200 for the Envoy ( KBB value $2700) and $2800 for lease payments of $266. Per month for 36 months. Did I tell you we already lease a 2014 CRV? So that lease was done at Keeler with a year old but new 2014 which we put $2000 down and payments of $219 for 36 months (no trade). They included free oil changes. Back to the haggling. After 3 or 4 rounds of back and forth, we accepted $ 2200 for the Envoy and $500 cash for the 2016 CRV. The payments are $229. So We are paying Honda $10 more per month, gave you $700 more in cash, instead of free oil changes you offered to sell us a package for another $30 per month. Nice touch! So will we refer people to Mohawk Honda? No, but in fairness we wouldn't refer anyone to Keeler or Rennselaer, or Saratoga either. Will we come back? Probably not. But luckily for Honda motors they build a great vehicle so apparently the theory is you can say or do anything to a customer because the product is that good. All that being said, I don't get a warm fuzzy sense about any Honda dealer, but accept that that is how they do business.

Great sales experience!

We had one of those mornings when it was time for our appointment to look at vehicles, my wife was late, and I had an issue arise. My wife was assigned to Whitney and I was not able to attend. Very positive experience. She was available later and showed us another option when I freed up, and later that day we purchased our Odyssey. Great Sales person. Great vehicle. Great dealer. Excellent customer service!

We arrived at Mohawk Honda expecting to be overwhelmed and stressed, but our experience turned out to be the complete opposite. We would like to share how thankful we are for the great customer service, and efficient work by Kaitlin and the team that made our experience so much better. We were able to meet/connect with a great team of people who are excellent at what they do. We look forward to doing business with your team again!

Best Buying Experience Ever

Linda made our Mohawk experience perfect. She left my wife and I alone to look at the outstanding selection of SUV's. She was right there to answer questions key to our decision making and most of all worked hard to get us the deal we needed. We have bought or leased many cars of different brands and the experience is uncomfortable and tense. Nick, the GM, makes the whole Mohawk Honda experience comfortable and before you leave Jake can quickly teach you how to use all the buttons to make you confident your using all the features. They literally go out of their way to please you. We'll be back.

Awesome

As always our dealings with Mohawk Honda were outstanding. Brain was extremely helpful by pointing out features of the CRV we were considering. He listened to our needs and our budget concerns, and delivered on both. The delivery went so smoothly that even we were surprised. Junior did an excellent job explaining the workings of all of the accessories. Thru the entire process we were treated with great respect. We would and have recommended Mohawk Honda to anyone looking to purchase a car.

Accommodating, helpful and informative.

Our salesperson (Brian McKenna, with whom we have previously dealt) was very open in his presentation of various options available to us and conducted a lengthy computer search for an in-stock vehicle that came closest to our wants. While one can never be certain that the final quoted price and trade-in value represent the best deal possible, we nevertheless left with sense we were dealt with fairly, In short, we were pleased with our decision to buy from Mohawk and particularly Brian.

Happily Satisfied

Camren went out of his way to make sure I was taken care of and left feeling happy and satisfied with my purchase. My daughter came with me to pick up the car and thought everyone was so friendly that she would consider purchasing a car here in the future!

Great experience for my daughter's 1st new car
