I purchased a used 4 runner from Smart toyota used car

I purchased a used 4 runner from Smart toyota used car lot. I specifically asked them if the vehicle was in an accident. The salesman assured me it was not. He showed me a car fax with several pages of routine maintenance without specific detail included. So after purchasing the 4 runner I did my own research and low and behold on the Toyota app it gave me a different story. I would never have purchased this vehicle if I knew what I know now. Be very careful when buying a used vehicle from these guys. I definitely would stay away from the salesman that decided not to indulge the Toyota repair records for the parts and body work listed on Toyotas own archive on the Vin of this vehicle. I should have done more research. The vehicle was the most solid 4 runner and it drove perfect except for the touchy grabbing brake pedal. they covered up the rear right brake by pumping up the pressure. (touchy brakes) which lasted until their warranty expired. 4 runners are not cheap with high resale value. I would have bought something else from them if they where up and up. Unfortunately I would never go back now.

Extremely disappointed in the lack of communication,

Extremely disappointed in the lack of communication, follow-up and customer focus. As a result, I had to unexpectedly pay $500 out of pocket, Kyle in Finance indicated he would check on other ways to help compensate for my inconvenience. Never heard back anything in that regard. I also reached out to the GM Justin but he personally never contacted me either.

They are great at selling new and used cars.

They are great at selling new and used cars. Nice experiences and we’ve bought the last 3 cars there. The regular service group is ok, but it always takes weeks to get an appointment so plan WEEKS in advance. However, DO NOT go to the express service. Poor customer service, and lack of knowledge is really a problem.

I went into Smart Motors looking for a specific vehicle

I went into Smart Motors looking for a specific vehicle and found it. Joe and Lee worked with me to purchase the Highlander and taught this Grandma everything he knew about the truck to get her down the road. I love it! Still new to the dealership but, we'll see what the future holds and I will recommend Smart Motors to my Family and Friends.

Worked with Anthony, the Manager, in the express

Worked with Anthony, the Manager, in the express department today. Had a skid plate that needed to be installed, which had NOTHING to do with Smart Toyota. Anthony was most excellent from my phone call to him this morning, to getting me in right away when I showed up. The complimentary car wash was nice. Anthony earned my business for maintenance on my vehicle. Thank you Anthony and your Team for the FANTASTIC customer service!
