West Herr Subaru

I have had numerous issues with West Herr Subaru of Orchard Park throughout the years. Typically they will make things right but not until l've had to go back and forth via multiple phone calls. This time, a common CVT issue that should have been covered under my powertrain warranty was not fixed via computer re-learn they attempted. When I returned after allowing time for their attempted fix to work, my warranty had expired however the issue was not fixed from their initial attempt when it was covered. As it is a continuation of a previous problem that was not fixed while under warranty, it should have still been covered completely. I will say Subaru of America covered a majority of the cost as a “good faith” gesture, however I am still out about 275$ that should have been covered under warranty. They also attempted twice to have me replace my battery for $445 dollars as they said low voltage could cause the computer to forget CVT shift points. Their own diagnostics pointed to normal voltages but about a 15% lower cranking amps. My car now works and shifts fine with the valve control body repair and the same battery I had before. I left a message with service manager Scott but have not heard back from him over a week later. Normally I would try to continue to make contact to resolve this issue, however after 5 or 6 other incidents I am just tired of the back and forth. My plan was to upgrade to an Ascent in a year or two, however this has been the tipping point for me. I will be utilizing a different dealer and likely manufacturer for my next car. I will say the service staff (Cassandra and Lexy) and mechanics were always nice. It was easy to make an appointment except for having to utilize a call center instead of being connected directly to the dealer. The building was Modern and clean and they had nice amenities while waiting for service. I will miss many aspects of the dealership, however at this point the stress/headaches have outweighed the positives.

West Herr Subaru is outstanding. My salesperson listened to what I was interested in and got me the Forester I wanted at a price that worked.

We really like dealing with Frank. The news he has to deliver is rarely good but he is professional and a nice guy. West Herr is lucky to have him.

Frank is the man ! Honest , professional, and great to work with, he got me into see him when my car was broken without an appointment because I had no other means of transportation. No one lose would!! Got it all done and fixed in one day !! Go see him if you need great service !!

This is my second purchase at West Herr Subaru in Orchard Park. My drive is over 90 minutes but the service and over the top treatment is worth the drive. Thanks to Amber Trost did all the leg work before I arrived. I just signed the papers and was on my way. The buying process was smooth and straightforward, and I appreciated her professionalism and excellent customer satisfaction. She actually double checked my trade in and found my garage remote still in the trade in. I highly recommend West Herr!!!!!! Tks Amber!!!!
