Great Buying Experience!

Thank you Errik for helping me with the purchase of my RAV4 Prime. Errik was honest, helpful and thorough. I flew from Atlanta to Erie to pick up my car and Errik arranged for me to be picked up and driven to the dealership. As promised there was no markup and all of the paperwork was ready when I arrived. I ran into a problem with my bank's cashier check (not Luv Toyota's issue at all) and the people at Luv Toyota were patient and helpful while I resolved that issue. Errik trained me on the car and helped me configure it as I wanted for my drive home. Then the topper was he reached out to make sure I made it back safely to Atlanta! It was well worth the trip up to Lakewood and I would be open to buying another car from Luv Toyota and working with Errik Gordon.

Working with Errik Gordon from Luv Toyota was awesome from Day 0. I put a reasonable deposit down, was given a time frame, and my Rav4 arrived a few weeks early! For those concerned with pricing -- I paid MSRP plus a small add-on fee for some overall protection (rust, interior etc). I was an out of state buyer but Errik and his team made it a pain-free process. Kelly in finance was even able to bet out my credit union! 10/10 -- would absolutely buy from them again -- especially in the crazy market we're in.


Throttle body/fuel inj. scamming

So Luv auto techs stop trying to sell unneeded services, I am writing this review. Being new to the area, I am already uncomfortable about someone "servicing" my vehicle (I know people who have been ripped off by auto repair shops, as I have.) I declined the recommended throttle body/injector service at $169.95. I went home and conducted an internet search and, to sum it up, it is not necessary unless you're having rough idling, trouble starting, or some other problem. Since my service at Luv's my fuel milage fell. I cannot say why, because the weather got cold (service was 10/21/19) and I got new snow tires installed. But in the back of my mind I "feel," no matter how small the probability, something was done to decrease my fuel mileage. In fact, an internet search on my model vehicle (I have a Prius C because I live in Chautauqua and in Cleveland, always going back and forth and it saves on fuel and emissions) revealed that Toyota changed the software program for my model and there's been quite a lot of controversy between customers and Toyota over this. Though there is no way to know, I feel (yes, even if it is irrational) there is a real possibility something was done to my vehicle due to the drop in fuel mileage, and I am one of those geeks who records my gallons pumped and miles driven each and every time that I fill up. By June 2020 I will be able to determine conclusively whether or not an event happened with certainty at that service event at Luv Toyota. I am giving a poor review because, in my informed opinion, the $169.95 recommended service is not necessary and according to supposed authorities on various forums on automobile service on the internet, like "Car Talk," this service in the vast majority of cased is not needed. I can just see a poor, trusting person accepting their recommendation and unnecessarily paying Luv an extra $169.95. I surely will not be going back. I have a great shop in Cleveland that I've used for years. Luv lost its opportunity with me. Sorry.

Dealer has not responded to warranty claim

I bought a 2013 FJ Cruiser and had it shipped to me in Texas. While there were a number of issues that I did not expect, I did not blame the dealer for failing to disclose some of these issues which included extensive underbody component corrosion (and even interior pieces), 3 of 4 tires having sidewall cracks, and a terrible smell that was obviously from a smoker. However, within a hundred or so miles of being driven, a clunking sound was noticed. We drove home once we heard this and I inspected the area which had a rounded bolt hole with a bolt missing where the axle attaches to the brake. I had the vehicle towed to the dealer for inspection and they reported that the bolt could not be replaced due to how it was rounded and that somebody had previously attempted to repair this problem because the bolts were not corroded like the rest of the vehicle underneath. The recommended repair was a full replacement of the rear axle assembly as you could not simply replace the rear axle given the state of the corrosion under the car. This would be either a ~$11000 repair for new part or $4750 repair for a salvage rear axle assembly. Once I notified the dealer in writing of these recommendations I never heard from them again. Under New York state law there is a 4000 mile, 90 day warranty for anything that causes "impaired value" and this situation clearly qualifies for this. I have attempted to resolve this directly with the dealership but since they have failed to respond I am attempting to contact them via Toyota corporate, the Better Business Bureau, Yelp, and in hopes that they will address the problem rather than having to litigate or pursue arbitration. I would not recommend this dealer as they have clearly demonstrated massive incompetence (in inspecting vehicles they sell) and unprofessional sales practices (in failing to disclose things that they could have told me about) and now they've cleared screwed themselves selling a vehicle that they should have been able to deem defective prior to selling it. In my experience buying over a dozen vehicles in the last 10 years it is rare for dealers to have such a low mileage vehicle with such severe problems which is why I was not more careful asking for details as I was assured the vehicle was in good condition.


Scheduled services visit

Once again, the team at Luv Toyota exceeded my expectations! When I brought my car in for scheduled services, I was surprised by how rapidly and efficiently they were performed! The staff were friendly and attentive and took pains to get me in and back on the road in record time. While there, I was able to sit, relax and have a cup of coffee, while the staff updated me on the progress of the services. While I might have been able to purchase the same quality of vehicle at another dealership, I wouldn't receive the same exceptional quality from both the sales and service teams and the management of Luv Toyota, which is why I will keep coming back and referring famly and friends to them!


Straightforward dealing

We enjoyed dealing with Andy and Bud. They offered an excellent deal from the start and took care of the requests we made to complete the transaction.

My husband and I bought our first Toyota used in 2015 from Luv. We based our decision on Toyota's reliability and dependability. We loved our Rav4. We decided to stay with the Toyota brand. We started our search on-line so we could check out the new Rav4. We headed to Luv to have a look and a test drive. Andy helped us look at afew different styles and features and in less than two hours, we were proud owners of a new 2018 Rav4. Andy Fusiara was our salesperson and was very helpful. Even acouple days later he helped us with the navigation system. The staff at Luv Toyota are there to make your buying experience top notch before, during and after the sell. Great buying experience

Our first Toyota was bought used from Luv Toyota in 2015. We decided to stay with the Toyota brand and we when right to Luv. From our first contact with Nicole on-line to our salesperson Andy, we were treated great. We never felt rushed or pressured. They answered all our questions from start to finish. Andy Fusiara even helped us days later with navigation system. The service dept has always treated us wonderful. Five Stars all around!!!
