I am 63 and have bought MANY vehicles. Lancaster Toyota/Mazda is the worst dealership I have ever dealt with. There is zero customer service. The finance guy (Joe) didn't seem to know what he was doing and the guy he was training seemed to be more knowledgeable than him! They thought they sent me home with the wrong registration. Joe called, texted and emailed me the next day regarding our "deal" and wanted me to call him ASAP!! He said he would FedEx me the registration and I would have return the one he gave me. We were confused about the registration and we texted and called him back but he wouldn't answer. The next day, the salesman called wanting proof of insurance for the car, when we gave it to them while we were still in the dealership. Matt, the Sales Manager had to step in and said he would mail me the title without having the registration that Joe "needed" - - proof that the registration wasn't needed after all and I should have been given the title when we were there. When I asked him about this, he didn't or couldn't answer my questions or explain it. I don't know why I had to "argue" to get the title. Now he won't return/answer my calls. This is the 3rd time I have purchased a vehicle outright with no financing and the 1st time I didn't receive the title at the time of purchase. I have asked them to buy back the car and they refused. I even offered to pay the mileage as I live an hour and a half away. They refused. I asked for the return of the $490 processing fee since it was goofed up so many times and still, they refused. We won't go back. WE refuse.

The whole new car buying experience was wonderful. Judy took the time to listen to my needs and concerns and didn't pressure me at all. They gave me a fair price for my trade-in and made the financial aspect very transparent. I would highly recommend Lancaster Toyota & ask for Judy!

Terrible customer service! We were charged $56 just to have our battery tested. I already jump started the battery when it failed. 25 months into a 84 month warranty?? What $300 battery lasts 2 years? Answer: A Toyota battery from Lancaster Toyota . We were charged $230 for replacement. Service guy was rude when I had questions. Lancaster Toyota will never see my business again.

Dealer response

Mr. Reisinger, The warranty on your vehicle has expired. Our team of professionals are paid when they diagnose and repair your vehicle. We were surprised by your review as our Customer Relations Manager was able to assist you during your trip that allowed you to complete your trip without interruption. The quote we gave you for the cabin filter was far less than the quote you represented and we are competitive with the shop you paid to have this replaced. Your tire measurement is a safety recommendation, while the minimum legal tread depth in many states is 2/32 of an inch, most experts and tire shops recommend replacing tires at or before they reach 4/32 of an inch for optimal safety. This is especially crucial for vehicles that transport families or frequently travel in adverse weather conditions. We respect your choice to approve or decline any recommendation but any shop that sacrifices safety for cost savings may not be giving you the information you deserve. We will always give our guests trust and transparency so they can make the best decision for them. Thank you, Steve Plank Customer Relations Manager Lancaster Toyota.

Very disappointed! This was the third car we purchased from Lancaster Toyota and it was a nightmare. First the vehicle was priced like a new one. Then they told me our trade in was only worth $2000 and then turned around and listed it for $7705. It had just been inspected and had an oil change. The tires and brakes were very good, it was garage kept, and had all the service records written down so it needed very little work.

I dropped off my 2023 Tundra to have a recall fixed. I also have an issue with the spoiler staying in the down position but after reading reviews about dealerships finding excuses to say its not covered under warranty, I ended up telling them to NOT diagnos the problem and just fix the recall. Well they fixed the recall and still diagnosed the spoiler, and said its not covered under the warranty. I ended up not having to pay as I did have in writing that they would not check the spoiler and charge me. I got my truck back and as I'm driving out of the dealership, my exhaust is making clunking sounds. Once I got my truck home I checked underneath and found they must have loosened one clamp and moved the pipe slightly to cause a vibration - and I know this because I can see the metal is shiny where the clamp was before it was loosened and I can see wrench marks all over the pipe. I'm guessing they thought I was just a dumb female that wouldn't know what "that horrible clanking was" and would have to bring my truck back for them to diagnos and fix it. Considering I installed the exhaust just a few months ago, the jokes on them. I know mechanics at other dealerships are encouraged to find more issues with vehicles to make the company more money, and it looks like this dealership isn't any different, which is a shame.

My son toke his 2005 tundra to the service dept and said he needed a radiator because you could visibly see the leak on the radiator transmission line out at the bottom of the radiator and to also check transmission fluid level because it doesn’t have a transmission dip stick !!! They told him they needed to look at it first then give an estimate . Guess what they said , you need a radiator and they won’t top off the fluid unless they flush it first . So for $150.00 they said the same thing my son said you need a new radiator !! And not sure what flushing the transmission had anything to do with the leak in the radiator !! That was not very professional not listening to the customer request ! Another dissatisfied customer at my sons expense !!! So there total to fix was $1800.00 a bit over the top !!! BTW Toyota is the only one that has the key for checking the fluid level that’s why the price is doubled !!!!!!!😡 What a joke !
