Excellent Car & Genuine Sales People
Ed McDowell and Shari Godwin were a pure joy to work with. Both were very professional and just very down-to-earth (personable). I never got that "they really need this commission" feeling from either of them. It was all about me and what I was searching for in my next vehicle. It didn't seem at all disingenuous like they were putting on the "good sales person show". I like that. If anyone's in the market for a new car, I'm definitely going to recommend Martin Honda and I'm going to insist that they work with either Ed McDowell and/or Shari Godwin. For 4 months, I had been searching for a vehicle to replace my eight year old SUV. I limited my search to the Nissan Altima, Kia Optima, and Honda Accord. While the Optima is a great looking vehicle, I didn't want something that everybody seems to have right now. As for the Altima, the market is as saturated with this vehicle as well and I can honestly say that both come with more bells & whistles (standard) than the Accord Sport, which I have chosen. "Bells & Whistles" is not a decision criteria for me because I can add them myself later. I chose the 2013 Accord Sport mainly for the quality of the vehicle and the look of the 2013 Accord Sport. I knew (as a guy) I was being a diva. The bottom line is that this is my first new car (previous 3 vehicles were used) and I wanted what I wanted. After spending 8 years in a gas guzzling SUV, I really wanted a car that would get better than 35 mpg highway. Ed McDowell and I test drove the Accord Sport. He explained the "Econ" button to me along with the vehicle's smart driving technology, which is illustrated by 2 thin semi-circle indicators surrounding the speedometer. In all fairness, I have to admit that I've never driven an Optima, but I have driven the Altima. In my humble opinion, the Accord offered a much better ride. And the re-sale value (if or when it ever comes to that) of a Honda Accord has been consistently higher than all vehicles in its class over recent years. On the day that I took ownership of my new 2013 Accord Sport, I worked with Shari Godwin. Ed was off celebrating his daughter's birthday; I respected that. #familyfirst After everything was done, I just sat in the car for about 25 minutes - just smiling and playing with the technology. Shari came back to check on me. "It's all good", I said as I cruised off the lot.

Great sales person, good inventory available
My husband and I checked out the Honda dealership because a co worker recommended the dealership. Originally a Honda was not on our radar but after meeting Shari and her enthusiastic approach to our needs and desires, a new 2013 CR-V was an excellent choice. Also they had different colors available for me to see right then and there. Shari was excellent and respectful in guiding my blind husband's hands over the controls and features of the car that he could and would use. Our guide dog was equally impressed when we took the car for a test drive and snoozed in the back seat. The transition and trade in with our old car was simple and easy. Shari could not have been any more joyful and accommodating!

Quick and easy
My husband and i went to Martin Honda to look at the CRV. We usually hate car buying because it is such a long tedious process process. When we arrived at Martin Honda we were greeted immediately by the receptioist and then the manager who hooked us up with our sales consultant, Shari. Shari was a delight to work with, She made our buying experience quick, smooth, informative and very pleasant. She was able to negotiate a trade in of our used car for exactly what we wanted for it. We were in and out with the new car we wanted, in the colors we wanted at a great price within record time! (1.5 hours) We had the best car buying experience ever, would recommend Martin Honda and will go back if and when we need another car.

Enjoyable New Car Buying Experience
From the initial phone query the sales department was friendly and willing to spend time answering my questions. David Romanoski greeted us as we entered the dealership and worked with us on a time crunch situation when our first contact, Clark Leitner (also a great guy) was on vacation. David showed me that you can trust Honda salesmen to provide all the information requested, without pushing their product. We felt no pressure, and enjoyed the experience of purchasing a new Accord: the first new car purchase for us in more than 10 years. David went over all the details clearly and we bought the Accord feeling confident that it was the best car for us. The finance guy was also "non- pressure" as he helped us find the best service agreement for our needs. Thanks Honda.....

Our experience dealing with Kristopher has been wonderful. He answered all of our questions and was very aware that we were deaf. He made sure that communication wasn't an issue (ie: writing on notepad if we didn't understand him, spoke to us clearly). Couldn't ask for a better sales representative & workers at this dealership.

Our overall experience at Martin Mazda was completely...
Our overall experience at Martin Mazda was completely different than any other dealership we have dealt with. The entire staff was friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable. We especially enjoyed having Daniel Carlton as our sales consultant. He was genuinely concerned about our needs and very knowledgeable about all the vehicles. We will definitely buy from them again in the future and refer them to our friends and family.

Added fees after we agreed to a price
My sales experience was going well until after we negotiated a sales price. 5 things happened that disappointed me. 1. The car I wanted was not on the lot so they told me what the price was. Once I had the vehicle delivered to my house and saw the window sticker the price they quoted me was $350 higher than the sticker price. They never explained this even after questioning it via email. 2. After negotiating a price, the dealer added a $279 Administrative fee. This was never mentioned during negotiations. 3. There was supposed to be a $2,000 cash back offer. During negotiations I was going to take that into account on my offer. The sales guy told me I only qualified for $1,000. Turns out I actually did qualify for the $2,000 which was reflected on the final paperwork, however I was unable to account for that during negotiations. 4. The sales guy showed me my bottom line price and my monthly payments (including taxes and tags). I learned while signing the contract that the payment included the Tax and Tags but the bottom line price did not. Seems a little confusing to me. 5. While walking out after signing the contract the sales guy says..."you'll get a survey and it's important to give us ratings of all 10's. If you do that I'll give you two free tanks of gas." It's no wonder this dealership is rated #1...all the customers are bribed into giving stellar reviews. Not me! I gave an honest review and was contacted by the sales manager. To date she has done nothing to address my issues and concerns and has no explanation for why the original price quoted was higher than the window sticker price. She claims she called and left a voicemail but there is no evidence of missed calls or messages. I understand a buyer has to take responsibility for the typical dealer deception but if you read this review and still want to buy from this dealer please take my experience and learn from it and watch out or they'll get you too.

Buying a Honda at Martins
The experience was not nerve wracking, but an easy comfortable experience. Payment options with a low interest was a wonderful plus. David went over the features, the information and answered our questions to our satisfaction. David was very easy to work with and I liked the fact that he was not pushy and gave us the time to make our decision and he knew exactly what we were looking for in a new automobile. Recently I have talked with an employee that just bought a new vehicle from Martin Honda and was pleased as well. I would recommend Martin Honda to other people who are looking for a dependable vehicle. I am sure their experience will be just as pleasurable. Thank you for great service and wonderful experience that we have had so far.
