Rich was very well-educated on every vehicle I looked at as well as honest. I didn't get the exact price I would have wished to have, but it was a fair deal overall. He seemed a little overly friendly at times, sharing his personal life with me. I didn't mind as much but I feel that maybe other customers may be taken back by it. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase and enjoyed doing business with Rich.

Everyone at the dealership was friendly. I felt like they tried to give me the best deal possible. Bryan was very nice to work with and very knowledgeable. I have been to other dealerships and I felt as if they didn't care if I bought a car or not and in this economy that is not good.

I was pleasantly surprised by Thom's and Drew's easy going manner and friendliness. During my test drive of the Sonata, Drew was helpful by explaining all the safety and operational characteristics of the car, without overselling the product. Thom's pleasant demeanor and good salesmanship were apparent when he loaned us a car for a second test drive a few days later. These two visits were sufficient for me to decide not to go to any other dealer in the area, and purchase the car at Checkered Flag.

Brian was patient and if he didn't have an answer he found one within a few minutes, he worked with us for several weeks and returned our calls in a timely manner. Brian was very friendly, energetic, happy, and he made the sale at a very fair price, he made the buying experience less stressful for our family ad we thank him very much for that.

Bryan was curteous and knowledgable. He took great care of us and found us exactly the car we wanted. I had planned that day to visit several dealerships and test drive many cars, but once I dealt with Bryan and Checkered Flag, I didn't want to go anywhere else. In addition to the wonderful service and the 3 years of free maintanence, I found the car itself had everything I wanted for a great price. I was able to get the payments I wanted and the service was fast and efficient. I would recommend the car, dealership, and Bryan to anyone!

I would highly recommend James Hanrahan as a salesperson. He was warm, friendly, professional, very knowledgeable, and helpful without being pushy. I admit that I was "on-guard" from some past experiences, yet James was patient and made me feel very comfortable. (and car buying isnt usually a "comfortable" process). The entire experience was a good one. This is my first experience with Checkered Flag VW, but I would recommend both the dealership and my salesman!! Thanks---love my new EOS.

Checkered Flag Hyundai and Volkswagen in Virginia Beach is one of my all time favorite dealerships in the city!! The atmosphere is very comforting and all of their representative are really "down to earth", and really know their equipment! They will not try to sell you a car just because.. They sell you a car that you will love! Thats was one of the things I learned from them.. If you want to buy one car, or two, or even seven, lol you really have to check out Checkered Flag Hyundai and Volkswagen in Virginia Beach. Ask for Thom Coyle, he's usually located on the Hyundai side. This is one loyal honest hard working man, with a great warm personality. He is just as human as any customer/client that arrives on the lot. Drew was very friendly, and appeasing. He realized my need for the car, and even got it shipped in for me. I didn't feel like I was taken advantage of. He even compromised with me on some items. I would def. go back and buy another vehicle from Drew. He was excellent!!!

Bruce let his products sell themselves. No high pressure sales. We told him what we were looking for and he showed us several models, all within the paramaters of what we were looking for. He was friendly, courteous and extremely helpfull with all of our questions. Once we had decided on the vehicle we wanted, he quickly filled out the paper work and got us to the financing people who were also very proficient. Both Bruce and Mr. Custodio worked beyond their normal work day to ensure we could take the vehicle home with us that night. The professionalism of the entire staff was exceptional and I would highly recommend the dealership to anyone looking for a new or used vehicle.

My second VW purchase from Checkered Flag dealerships. I'm 44yr old male, active duty military, have lived all over the USA and have purchased eight vehicles. Salesman Jim Hanrahan was absolutely SUPERB- 5.0 across the board. Excellent personal skills- energetic, engaging, bright & polite, possessing a high degree of product/vehicle spec & performance knowledge on VW line. Purchase experience was pretty painless, Jim was very attentive throughout the sale. We are very pleased with our 2009 VW CC Sport. Traded our 2006.5 GTI. Exceptional performance, finish, style, options and value compared with other mid/high-end sport sedans. Shopped this vehicle vs. Audi A3/A4 and Infinity G35 Sedan.
