The process was what I expected LONG! I had an appointment and had been pre-qualified and already pick the vehicle I wanted. It was a week night and only 2 other customers. So it should not have taken 3 1/2 hours for them to take care of business. I also had a trade and had left something of importance in the vehicle I called and left messages, sent e-mails and to this day have NEVER got an answer if when they clean out the car they retrieved my items. So I guess it what they always say once your out the door sales could care less!

Penske Cerritos - Ask for Francisco and Dusty!
We all know buying a car is stressful and time consuming. I started my search well over a week ago. I was looking for an SUV and I knew I wanted an american built car again, but I was looking at ALL options. I had a pre approved loan through my credit union so I knew what I could shop with. I also had a trade that was upside down because of a VERY high interest loan. (divorce, that's a story for another time) I had found a great deal on a gently used loaner at Penske and spoke with Francisco, one of their Sales team members, on the phone. He answered all of my questions. I knew I would be in the area this weekend and he invited me to come in for a test drive. We went Friday evening, test drove the little Encore and I liked it, but didn't love it. It's really small for our lifestyle. The price was awesome and they were willing to help me work all the numbers with my trade. I spent most of the weekend looking at other larger SUV's and decided that I was just going to wait a month or so. I told Dusty, who is the Sales Manager, on Sunday that I appreciated his time to work with me, but that Encore was just to small and I would not be happy, but keep me in mind if something else comes along. Well Dusty reached on Monday am and asked me about the Envision. I loved the Envision and Enclave, but I knew price was outta my budget. Here is what separates Penske of Cerritos from the ALL other car dealers. Dusty did not work WITH me. Dusty really went to work FOR me! He worked a deal for me, kept me with in MY budget and even got me AWESOME financing that was BETTER than my credit union. He really went above and beyond all of my expectations. I am not going to blast the numbers on here but let's just say.... IT WAS A LOT!!!! A LOT!!!! I am so grateful and appreciated all the work he did for me. Once this deal was sealed, Francisco wrapped it all up. Everyone at Penske really is great. It's not the typical car dealer, and I visited many over Labor day weekend. Most will talk in circles and don't LISTEN to what it is you want or forget what they quoted you 5 minutes ago.(look for my review on Tom Bell in Redlands - bunch of yahoos) If you are looking for strait shooters who listen to what YOU want, go see Francisco and Dusty. You will not be disappointed. Tell them Kim with the 2020 Envision sent you. Thank you gentlemen!!! Kd

INFLATED PRICES
I talked to two sales people about a truck I wanted to buy. One said he was the sales manager but I'm not sure. The prove that they quoted over the phone was almost $4000 higher that what the price calculator told me on their website. One of the sales people attempted to explain to me why the prices were as high as they were, What I heard was because the inventory of new cars is down, the prices have gone up on used vehicles..Bottom line, the consumer is paying for their down sale...Middle class gets squeezed out again. They are asking 32,000 for the truck. I told them that NADA had fair listing at 28,800. He told me NADA was for the east coast, that I needed to look up Kelley Blue Book value. I did, it was 29,000. I know that they are trying to make up for lost revenue, but don't talk to me like I'm ignorant. I gave a good offer and he pretty much immediately ended the conversation. I always get a bad feeling from used car dealers, and Pensky sales reps are like all the rest...going to wait till the truck I want comes available on Carvana or Carmax...

The salesman Anthony is great, he was proffesional and patiently listen to what we need. The finance manager Indira did paperwork fast and was able to convince us to get some extra protection. We went home with a new GMC truck.

Not timely; Extremely poor communication
The buying process was fine, and in fact I'd have given them a better rating for this part if it hadn't been for what happened next. When I bought the car, there were a couple add-ons that had to be ordered. When the parts came in, that's when the trouble started: I had an awful experience with this company's service department. I made an appointment for Friday morning at 9 to drop off my brand-new car to have some options installed and to fix a minor issue. It took over an hour to get through the intake process and get my loaner car, but the service coordinator told me it would be ready "this afternoon." He then sent me a text message with a number I could "text/call for a status update." Hearing nothing, I called and texted around 4 pm. No one was available and nobody replied to my text or my message. On Saturday morning I called several times and texted again. Again, nobody was "available" to take the call, so I left messages each time. Again, no response. I asked for the service manager. He was "with a customer," although the operator later told me she's located offsite so she has no way of knowing that. I asked for the general manager but was told "We don't have a GM right now." That explains a lot, but as I write this, I'm well over 24 hours into what was supposed to be an 8-hour process. There has been absolutely no response, no follow up, and nobody will take calls or return messages. Once I started posting negative reviews, the service guy finally called back -- and then he lied to me saying that "the installation is taking longer than we expected." Given that their own service manual says exactly how long it takes to install the extras, and exactly how to do that, his explanation was patently false. Absolutely unsatisfactory.

Liars!!
Called ahead to check on a truck. Coming from 40 miles away. We called to confirm the truck was still available and for sale. Sales associate Irene talked to manager Chris who confirmed that it was available and stated the truck would be pulled up front for us to test drive. Walked in and we were told the truck was sold. Liars
