My son was so excited to get his first car, a 2010 Nissan Altima, from Kerry Nissan on September 12th, 2018. He received his license on October 15, and... after having put only 351 miles on the vehicle since we purchased it, during his FIRST solo drive to Chipotle (about a mile from our home), the transmission went out. According to the service person my husband spoke to initially, we are only 2k miles outside the factory transmission warranty so they were going to try to get it replaced under warranty. I guess that didn’t work and we are currently trying to work things out with the dealership. I had previously purchased a used vehicle from a “reputable dealer” (Mike Castrucci Chevrolet) that had a number of undisclosed issues and had to be replaced at a huge loss to myself. Given this experience, I shared my concerns and they reassured me during the purchase process that if anything major happened shortly after getting it they would stand behind their product. Reminding me they are “Kerry Nissan”, a reputable dealer with a name and a brand to uphold. Currently, we have not received an acceptable resolution, however, I’m hopingthey can figure out how to make this right!!
Well, I was shopping at the Ft. Mitchell Mercedes dealership (Jeff Wyler - Ill get back to Kerry Automotive in a second).... I was working with a salesman,... Mike Griese, at Mercedes (who was fantastic by the way - he gets five stars) He helped me find a car that I really liked and he even set me up on a 1 day test drive! A beautiful white 2016 Mercedes GLE! Absolutely fantastic! The car would have been over $50,000 out the door. In the middle of the one day test drive, on my way home from work in the Mercedes, I decided to swing by the Kerry Automotive Group in Florence (both the Toyota and Nissan dealership) to look at a couple cars before making a final decision. My salesman at the Toyota (used) dealership - Dan Borlo - as well as the used sales manager made a big deal about me driving the Mercedes test car there from the other dealership. They made comments directly in front of me about how much they would like to sell me one of their cars today and take the car back to Mercedes and rub it in their face. It was highly unprofessional and I didn't appreciate being in the middle of it. Next, I went one building over to the Kerry Nissan dealership, took a really nice Titan diesel truck out for a test drive and when I came back and pulled in the parking lot, I arrive to find yet another Kerry employee literally hovering over the test Mercedes I drove there from Wyler Mercedes. As I get in the car he asks me if I'm a Mercedes employee and I told him no, I had it out for a test drive. Afterwards, I drove the Mercedes home to eat dinner, still really loving that car (planning to return it before work in the morning and talk with Mike), then I get a phone call from Mercedes asking if I was in at another dealership (which had to be one of the Kerry dealerships - process of elimination) looking at their cars in the Mercedes test car (true) and they told me they need the Mercedes back because I couldn't be looking at other cars in their test car (despite the fact they told me I could do my normal daily activities in their test car). All I wanted to do was make side by side comparisons... They made me feel like I was in the wrong! So I drive the car back to the dealership (interrupting my dinner with family - feeling anxious, chastised and like I was guilty of something) and returned the car. I apologized to Mike (my salesman at Mercedes... Not sure what I was apologizing for) and we had a cordial handoff of the Mercedes. I told him I was just trying to make side by side comparisons. He proceeds to tell me that I would of been ok if I would have told them that I wanted to make side by side comparisons at other dealerships (aka Kerry), and I could have even brought the cars there to the Mercedes dealership to make the comparisons (WHAT!?!?) That is a major double standard!! I don't think it was Mike's fault (again I think he was great). It seemed to me like he was being pressured by his manager about a phone call from the Kerry dealership. I talked to my relative who works at a Ford dealership as a salesman and he said people drive cars from other dealerships all the time to make comparisons and its not an issue at all! (Seriously?!) So I get stuck in the middle of a pettiness/jealousy exchange between the Mercedes store manager and a couple Kerry Automotive salesman/managers because they cant get over their own pride enough to PUT THE CUSTOMER FIRST!!! Absolutely terrible, now both dealerships have lost my business!!! Highly unprofessional!!
What a great experience I had a Kerry Hyundai! I hate the car buying process but the experience I had at Kerry was so fast and full of super nice people.... Once home I saw the rear spoiler had a crack in it and the were on the ball to get it fixed as fast a possible. Totally recommend Kerry for any new car! :)
My wife and I are in the market for a new SUV. I have owned an Armada and would be looking to purchase another, but the service at Kerry Nissan has not... been impressive. Instead it has turned me off of looking at Nissan cars. Most recently my Armada hatch lift has not been working. I took my car in to Kerry Nissan to be fixed, although the issue was never fixed. I have now been back three times and today I had enough. Assistant Chris Leip was rude, ignored me as another customer walked up and called me a liar when I referred to commitments other service managers made. This is not good customer service. I would hope the leadership at Kerry Nissan would want to know how their service is impacting their reputation and future business.
Our sales man Roddy was excellent! But the overall customer service was horrible. It took them over a month to process our loan, it was nearly impossible... to get a hold of them when questions or to respond to one of their questions. Yet when they needed paperwork resigned they called multiple times within the course of about and hour and demanded we get over there right away. On the day our temporary tags expired I had to call them and find out where the new tags were turns out they were at the dealership and I had to go pick them up. Again Roddy was excellent and we'd love to use him again just not sure about Using Kerry Nissan again.
I loved it! Our salesman (Max) was so helpful! I DEFINITELY recommend seeing him when you're looking for your new car!
Richard in the pre owned department did a great job of helping me find a great car in my price range. He was open honest and easy to work with. Had me... in and out within an hour. Definitely recommend kerry nissan
Good dealership. We bargained hard for a great deal and got two - Altima and Rogue. Our salesman was knowledgeable and courteous. The service center is... the same. Sometimes a bit slow but that is with any service center. I would recommend anyone in the market for a new car to check out Kerry Nissan.
Thanks to Brian and Justin in the service department! They were beyond kind and helpful at my oil change yesterday. I missed my second complementary oil... change in November due to surgery and Brian offered to comp this as free to make up for it. Thanks so much for the courtesy guys!!!
We had been working with internet department and Avery which he was helpful but as far as rest of dealership goes it was like any other one just trying... to pull you in the door love about 40 mins away and was up front on trying to get approved before hand so I didn't waste there time then I go in after working with them for four days and being told come in got you approved on the used car you wanted so go in greeted by another sales person and told Avery not there and he's just going to take us and not worried about him so we get inside and tell him every thing and all he was doing the whole time is running credit again after we already told him they just ran it two days before so the manager must not pay attention either cause they go and run it again just to say oh we can't do any thing long story short it's not about being mad about not getting approved it's the way it was taken care of and how they do business awful service Avery find you a new dealership and become top sales that place is a joke
