I came from out of state with a trade in. Steve Link handled the sale of a new XJ. Thrilled with the car. Buying process was straight forward, no pressure. A totally positive experience. Best car buying experience I’ve ever had.

Finally a great car

Buying a car is never easy, especially not three states over, and there is a CoViD-19 virus creating barriers at every possible moment. But the car I fell in love with was at Imperial Motors in Lake Bluff IL, one of three made in that specific color combination for the year. I tried to negotiate my way to a deal, but Steve was a straight shooter and fair to Kelley Blue Book, so we struck a deal. I later found out that they underpriced the car I bought, so I made out like a bandit on the sale anyway. Nevertheless, sometimes, when workers are not operating their computers and phone lines as usual, buying a car across state lines is not as easy as one would hope. Luckily, Steve was with me every bit of the way, for instance, where the registration process typically would fall into place, CoViD-19 stopped regular operations, and my registration would be delayed by months if it wasn't for Steve's help. Steve also got me window tinting at cost before shipping the car as a part of his customer service experience. Subsequently, he made sure I received prompt and discounted shipping of both the trade-in car and the purchased car with a driver's contact phone number. I received the title and a check to pay the taxes due on the vehicle at the DMV since Steve advised this to be the fastest route to register the car. At the DMV, I found that Imperial Motors overcharged sales tax for the vehicle. When I notified Steve of the mishap, and that the DMV is sending the dealership the overage check instead of me, Steve promptly sent a check of the overage to me via UPS. Buying a car online from a dealership out of state made me weary, but Steve is a person I could count on by being there for me, on his official and personal time. That is how a Jaguar dealership takes care of a customer by becoming a part of their experience, and I feel like Steve, and I are good friends, although we never met.

I'm a fan of the way they do business!

I was looking to replace my 2011 Mercedes-Benz and the Jaguar F-Pace S was one of the vehicles that I was looking at. I noticed that Imperial Motors had one that fit most of my criteria. I inquired about it to get their best price and a lease proposal. Steve Link quickly responded to my email and sent me two proposals that met my stipulations. He presented a competitive sale price, no money factor markup (I never pay a markup), and $0 down. He also agreed to match Carmax's trade-in offer. He was very straight to the point, putting forward their very best offer upfront. He was very responsive and upfront via email, and when I wanted to go on a test drive, he had the car ready very quickly within just a 30 minute notice. I sat on their offer looking at other options; I was also cross-shopping different makes and models. I appreciated that there were no 'hard-sell' tactics. No other local Jaguar dealership was able to beat Steve's quote on the F-Pace--none. Fields stated flat-out that they were not able to compete. Unfortunately for Imperial, I was able to negotiate a deal on a 2019 Audi Q8 that I simply could not refuse. If you are in the market for a Jaguar, I highly recommend inquiring over the internet and asking for Steve.

Most rewarding experience!

Imperial Motors representation of my Jaguar was spot on. They arranged transportation to my home in Vermont . Car around clean and in perfect condition. I am most satisfied with my purchase. Connie, was professional, thorough, and a delight to deal with. Highly recommended.

Purchased a used Jaguar XJ and was treaded by the staff well. Sales person Connie was knowledgeable and helped us through the whole process. They were willing to deal a little on the list price and trade in value. They made sure the body was in excellent shape before I left with the car. I did encounter a glitch soon after my hour long drive home and took it to my local Jaguar dealer for the fix. When I notified Imperial Motors of the problem and fix they supplied an explanation of what went wrong and agreed to compensation for my troubles. Now that the entire process is complete I must say that they did a great job and were very attentive to my needs. I would recommend them!

Outstanding!!!

I have bought many,many cars in my life. Imperial Motors blows away any experience I have ever had. They fulfilled all promises intimates via phone and email. The car I bought was by far the best prepared of the many I looked at prior to finding my new Jaguar. I wish this would have been my first stop! This is the only place to buy your Jaguar. I am a customer for life.
