Cost me $600 in repairs bc of their mistake

I bought a 2008 BMW 328i around July 7th, 2018. A few days after purchasing the vehicle, we noticed a little shaking in the engine. I wasn't too concerned, but a few days after that the car stopped in the intersection. I live 50 miles away from Kyner's, so I took the vehicle into my mechanic. I wasn't worried about making Kyner's pay for the damages. It was a used car and fairly old, so figured there would be issues and I may need to put a little money into the car. I was hoping it wouldn't be less than a month owning the vehicle, but oh well. The mechanic read the faults and said it was a CamShaft sensor issue. That set me back almost $500. I was bummed, but wasn't overly mad about the issue, I was just happy to be able to drive it again. A few days after getting the car fixed, the same issue started happening again. I was now a little more concerned, but again, I just took the vehicle into my mechanic because it was stalling out in the intersection and I wasn't going to drive it 50 miles. My mechanic took a deeper dive into the issue and performed more tests. Found out the last people to change the oil lost the cap and the car wasn't getting enough oil pressure, which caused the cam shaft to fail and continued to cause issues. At this point, I was now mad because Kyner's auto was the last people to change the oil. Once I found this out I contacted their service department and spoke with Shaun. He was less than helpful and had an attitude that it was my fault because I didn't contact Kyner's first. Uh no! It was your fault for not changing the oil properly. Basically Kyner's doesn't stand behind their service. Worst dealership I have ever had to deal with and now I am seeking legal advice against them. Take your money elsewhere. They are sneaky sales people and super nice until they need to be held accountable and all the sudden, they are as slimy as they come.

David, I think you picked the wrong people to criticize! First and foremost YOU decided to purchase the vehicle as-is. You were offered an extended warranty and YOU declined! YOU decided to take your vehicle to a guy who charged you $500 and failed to fix your problem! If he was any kind of a mechanic, he should have realized the oil cap was missing (if in fact, it was or maybe when he worked on your vehicle HE forgot to reinstall it)! Never once did you call until someone else screwed up your car and now you want us to fix what your mechanic screwed up. We are not perfect and we do make mistakes. I am usually very apologetic when something like this happens, but in your case, your problems were most certainly a result of poor judgment on your part. I have not stayed in business for 50 years by 'ripping people off'. We are done with this issue and will not be offering any more responses to your unjustified claims. John Kyner, Owner

Great sales people Good overall selection of cars

I was looking for a newer car with lower miles and great gas mileage . I came across a 2010 ford fusion hybrid with 68000 miles fully loaded power everything, leather seats, backup cam and a moon roof for a fair price. I watched reviews of the fusion online by really tall drivers I'm 6'4. Everybody said they fit well in them one guy was 6'9 on youtube showing how well even he fit in it. I drove 3 hours to see the car in person and found out I didn't fit :-(. The moon roof dipes the head liner by 2 inches so even with the seat down the whole way my head was up against the headliner. The staff was nice showed me about 7 other cars to get a feel what I would fit. My car hunting is still on going the staff was nice and very accommodating. Will keep an eye on their website see if they get another fusion hybrid with a moon roof.

Good until i was no longer interested

I was interested in a vehicle for a while and they emailed me several times to let me know they would answer any questions or schedule an appointment. When i went to view the car it was in bad shape(i was warned prior to viewing) and when i told them i was no longer interested they were quite rude and basically said with my budget i wasnt going to find anything (however i found a great one after leaving this place)

Over-priced junk!

Cars are overpriced, mechanically unsound, high milage, dirty, smelly junk! Sales staff has a very poor attitude and is not willing to negotiate to a price appropriate for any vehicle. They act like they are doing you a favor by allowing you on the lot to look at the junk cars there.

shoping for a car

Every year I seem to get the car buying bug. I usually visit all the car dealers in the area and browse their inventory and sometimes meet the sales personnel. Kyner's is at the top of my list of go to again dealers and I definitely would buy from the folks I met there. Clean cars, clean dealership and priced right cars. .

Great experience, would buy from them again

I found the car I was interested in and sent an email, I was contacted first thing the next morning and scheduled a time to go test drive the vehicle. Brandon worked out a deal and was very helpful in obtaining financing and helping me to set up the Bluetooth in the new vehicle. I like the fact that it was a smooth purchase AND that they offer lifetime oil changes for $9.95, lifetime tire rotation, towing and loaner cars.

Pretty Decent and I'm Happy

My only advice is that when a potential buyer expresses interest in a car you haven't detailed, get it fixed and detailed quickly. Also buyers, ask for both sets of keys before your final price. Ask for Big Mike and he'll take good care of you. I am happy with my purchase and deal so far.
