Almost Too Easy - Check Your Vehicles First (UPDATED)

AutoMax Marlboro made the entire process very easy and nearly too quickly. Overall, the car is nice (2014 Infiniti QX60) but there were and are significant issues with the vehicle. We addressed the immediate issues with AutoMax (lift gate not working automatically; missing seat headrests, missing panel pieces in interior) - some of which their service department rectified fairly quickly and others that were referred to the warranty under the actual car dealership. We erred in not taking the vehicle to a mechanic for an independent inspection prior to purchase and just dropped $700 on new brakes....we've owned the vehicle less than six months when this happened. We noticed the brakes were feeling slightly off about a month before they suddenly went. We took the car to our mechanic for immediate repair resulting in the large bill from heavy use from the owner prior to us. We contacted AutoMax who failed to address the issue appropriately. Lesson learned. Do not purchase from a factory reseller in the future....stick with a dealership who prides their reputation on selling a vehicle that has gone through standard vetting before resale. Updated 4/14/2017: Took our car to Infiniti dealership for some recall services to be performed and we were informed that the car was missing an air filter this entire time. AutoMax never put one in before the sale. Shame on us for not checking this thoroughly but don't let our lesson learned be your AutoMax mistake. $75 for the air filter and $75 labor later.......our total out of bill pocket in six months since purchase is now nearly $900.

Sales Associate Chris Trombley-Helpful, Patience, Effective

Assessing my needs, finances and tastes quickly first and then finding me the best, most reliable,and AFFORDABLE car is what Chris Trombley was able to do. He was patient, helpful and cooperative in the process that was required from the time I first came to the dealership until the day I drove my 2015 Nissan Sentra out of the lot. He was right about the car too. I love it! After buying new cars for 25 years from dealers, I have CHANGED my way of thinking. The next time I need a car, I will go right back to Chris Trombley at Automax. Of course, I will recommend him to any friends who need cars too! After this experience

Easiest way to buy a car

Paul DiCarlo and Carol made our car buying process as easy as it could possibly be. This was our second purchase from Automax and was just as easy as the first. Beware

I came out of state to buy a vehicle from paul very friendly until I signed all the paperwork. Vehicle needed new tires and parts that should have been taken care of before putting the car on the lot for sale. Then had to use their financing to get the special pricing. Then trying to tell me they don't have a runner to get my car registered for over a week. Who does that? Beware.

Buyers Beware

Be very careful when looking at their cars. They know how to make cars look good so they sell but automax does bodywork, paint and repairs that do not last. These people will cut corners every chance they can just to sell another car.

some good, some not so good

Great price on the vehicle. They made the purchase process very simple, and it went quickly. Even took my xxx minivan off my hands as a trade. I was given all the time I needed to make decisions and take a test drive. Some upholstery was stained, and they cleaned it the second they were shown. Downside was the vehicle made awful noise when it locked. They were unaware of it until I pointed it out after the test drive. They instructed me to take it to a Kia dealer for repair after I bought it, rather than AutoMax taking care of it before the sale. Would be no-charge to me as it was still under warranty, and the dealer would perform the service for me ahead of when they would do it for Automax. No cost, just an inconven[ence. All-in-all would buy there again. Friendly, unpushy and considerate.

Quick and Easy

Chris Trombley was a really pleasant salesman to work with. I am so happy I got my car from Automax. My experience with dealerships has always been a long and laborious process and would take DAYS before I would receive a credit approval. On the contrary, Automax was quick and easy. Chris was very informative and helped me find just the car that I was looking for. He provided me with a lot of great test-drive options to add to the mix as well. Thank you Chris, I will definitely buy my next car from here in the future!!!

Simple Process

Excellent Service- Paul recommended a car, got me approved, and I picked up the car the next day. It has never been so simple to buy a vehicle. Everyone I had contact with was very friendly as well.
