Excellent experience purchasing 2016 Tacoma off road!

Gerald was my sales rep and he was an absolute pleasure to deal with! I knew exactly what I wanted and he didn't push me into something else. He put in a factory order for me and got the perfect truck delivered to me with tremendous ease on my end. I was in and out on the day the truck arrived in 1.5 hours. Couldn't be happier

Great Car Buying Experience!

My wife and I recently bought a 2012 Toyota Camry from McDonough's in Staunton, VA. and feel it was the best car buying experience we've ever had. The salesperson with whom we dealt, Chad Hudnall, was terrific. There was no pressure, no sales pitch, he listened to us, very efficiently answered our many questions and was a complete pleasure to work with. Also, he knew his Toyota cars inside and out, was super friendly and extremely knowledgeable. We had a very good and positive feeling about the entire dealership and will definitely recommend Mcdonough's in Staunton to anyone who wants a very positive new or used car buying experience. We can not say enough positive things about Chad and this dealership.

Awesome

I love this dealership! I live 2 1/2 hours away from Staunton. I had been dealing with local dealerships for months and no one could get what I wanted at the price I wanted and I was extremely frustrated. With just a few phone calls with Gary, he had exactly what I wanted and a great deal. It was worth the 2 1/2 drive and I'll gladly do it again for the next car I need!

Auto broke down on Rt 81

Stephanie and Darlene were able to expedite the car through service though the shop had a backlog of work. They were efficient and helpful. Thanks also to the mechanics who showed me the problem and got it solved & fixed.

an amazing experience

I HIGHLY recommend this location. After weeks of car shopping finally an up front car dealer. Gary was so helpful and moved things along in a timely manner. We gave hime price range an he gave us selection. Also I think Dave was his name was so great with paper work.

Renewing my Toyota Family

Having Toyota vehicles for the past 10 years it was time to renew them with a great staff at McDonough Toyota that has been providing great service. My 05 Sienna has been one of the best vehicles I owned in 50 years so upgrading was not an easy choice. I have purchased many types of vehicles from many other dealersships so switching to McDonough was a testimony to their staff who provided me a friendly and professional process. Although I spoke to several employees over the span of time I was preparing to upgrade, when I was paired with Chad Hudnall I found him to be a good listener to what I wanted and he made every effort to meet my needs and beyond. Especially to answer all of my questions and deal with my constraint available time. The transfer was very seamless.

Bad, dishonest service

Service department damaged my NEW 4 Runner during first oil change, tire rotation. They have replaced numerous parts but repeatedly lie and tell me there is nothing wrong. After a bent driveshaft, rebuilt transfer case, forced off road balancing (taken out of house), I now have an off-center steering wheel, vibration and an alignment issue. I am still told there is nothing wrong. It is now almost March, this is been going on since the 1st of December. This dealership exhibits lack of morality and integrity.

"Since receiving this review, I have spoken with this customer about what all we have been doing to make sure her problem was being taken care of properly. The first initial visit was for a tire rotation at 5000 miles. The next day we addressed a concern of a vibration being felt while driving. Tech checked the balance of the tires which were out of spec. After balancing the tires, Tech and myself both drove the vehicle and felt no vibrations so car was returned back to customer with no costs involved. A month later, 01/25/16, the customer returned the vehicle with a slight vibration concern again. This time while driving the vehicle, a vibration was felt. Once again we checked the balance of the tires by sending it to one of the specialty centers here in the valley. They provided us a print out that stated the road force balance was with specs. Once we got the vehicle back, I gave it to the Tech to check into the vibration. While it was on the lift, Tech noticed a slight wobble in the drive shaft. He swapped one with another vehicle on the lot to see if this would address the vibration. It did, so a new drive shaft was ordered and installed. All covered by warranty at no cost to the customer. The next day the customer returned with a slight vibration concern again. At this point a TAS case was opened with Toyota to see if other 4Runners may have been experiencing the same issues. At the same time we had our FTS come in for a visit so he drove the vehicle. The vibration concern was more of a grumbling noise coming from the front differential area. A Technical Service Bulletin #0026-15 was addressed replacing the front left diff needle bearing which addressed the noise and vibration concern. Almost a month later the customer was back with the vibration concern, the steering wheel not centered, and a pulling to the left. At this point I immediately contacted the FTS due to a possible arbitration concern. .The tech and myself both drove the vehicle to check all these concerns and could not duplicate at that time. The customers info was then directed to Toyota for them to contact. During this entire ordeal, we were in constant contact with our Reps, and at no time did we just give up on this vehicle. In addressing the fact that we damaged the vehicle, at no time during tire rotations are the lifts anywhere near the driveshaft. This was explained to the customer by our General Manager. In conversations with the customer over the past week, proper communication has helped them to understand what all was going on to provide her the best assistance possible, and at no time were their concerns being left untouched as I have explained above. All documentation is provided to the customer to let them know what we have or haven't addressed after each visit. The final visit RO given to the customer explained that we had reached out to Toyota for further assistance with her issues, and that we would not be doing anything to the vehicle until they provided us info to address the concerns. Toyota has taken control of this issue to assist the customer. "

Amazing Experience with the Sales Department

My wife and I were out car shopping just for fun, we were looking at Subaru Outback's but she for the last 20 years with the exception of 1 car she has had multiple Toyota Highlanders. We priced the outback we were interested in and could afford. Before purchasing it I told her she should look at Highlanders because of her love for them in the past. just last February I purchased a Venza from Gary and had a great experience, not to mention I love my Venza. When we got to the Dealership we were greeted right away by Dave. There happened to be a Highlander parked in front that was exactly what my wife would have wanted. Dave introduced himself and asked how he could help. I told him we were there to look at a Highlander comparing it to a Outback. Additionally I told him what I was hoping to get into a Highlander for from a $ stand point... comparing it to the price of the outback. Immediately Dave leveled with me and told me he could not even come close... but never turned his back, he stayed right with me and answered all my questions. Dave let us take the vehicle for a test drive, helped us understand the xxxxxxand cons of the highlander compared to the Outback (with the only con, besides adaptive cruise control on this model, being the higher dollar amount) and made sure we had everything we needed. Chad, a new salesman (who used to work for Subaru) even chimed in with pros and cons of each make and gave us some very valuable information when it comes to vehicle service needs and value over the life of the vehicle. Even though it was looking like we could not afford to make the trade / deal, Steve Gave my wife a honest true car price for her Volvo and we went to the "table" in negotiations. The sales team was strong but not pushy through the entire deal. we feel we got a fair price on the trade as well as the purchase price and they must have as well because they sold the new highlander to us. Financing was quick and easy. During the final paperwork preparing, Dave informed us that Gary (the individual I bought my Venza from 1 year ago) was going to get credit for the sale. Gary could not help us that day because of other customers he was waiting on when we arrived. I was not happy with this at first. I liked dealing with Gary but Dave did all the work today and he was the one that did not give up on me at from the first part of the experience when I told him I wanted to purchase a highlander for the same price I could purchase an Outback. However, This sales team is so united, I guess they do this all the time, help each other out to keep things "balanced" at the dealership as much as possible. The entire sales team is always there to help you no matter if the individual you bought the vehicle from is present / available. I am hoping with 2 new Toyotas in the garage we will not need to be making any purchases in the near future, but, when I am ready for my next vehicle, I will definitely be going back to speak with Gary and Dave before I go anywhere else. 2-3 hours after we first arrived, we were driving home in a new highlander that my wife and I are extremely happy with.

New Car Buying Made Easy!

I just bought a new Toyota RAV 4 Hybrid. I went in not knowing for sure if I was going to buy new, used, or even another model, from another dealer. I had been driving a 2006 Toyota RAV for the last 7 years and really loved it. I hadn't bought a brand new car in 28 years...but with Gerald's help, I test drove a couple of models, even drove a used Honda CRV. In the end, I decided on the Hybrid, as it had all the extras I wanted, plus more...and it was going to be good on gas. I also got a great trade.

Best Dealership to Buy Our First Toyota!

My husband, Phil and I just bought a 2016 Highlander Limited Platinum and couldn't be happier! Our sales person was Gary Eavey, who made this purchase easier and exciting more than we thought possible! We explained to Gary what we were looking for in a vehicle and that we wanted a Highlander. Gary was very knowledgeable about every model and all options, which he explained in great detail to us! He also explained McDonough"s Lifetime Engine Warranty, the service process that you get at the dealership, and then he would explain the options again! We ordered our car, he got us a great price, and then kept us in the loop as to when our car was coming in! When we took delivery, Gary spent two hours showing us how to use all the options. He was so patient and understanding and knows that it takes awhile a new car! We've been back a second time to learn some more things & again he was so patient! We feel we've made a new friend with Gary! As for McDonough Toyota, every time we walk in everyone always is so friendly, eager to help and has a smile on their face! Thank you all for making this a great experience!
