Don't Go Here

My truck had a minor rattle and upon my research in needed phasers. I called around to see how much each dealership charged for new phasers. North Hollywood said $3000 and Glendale said $1000, so I took it to Glendale. They said it is $165 to determine what is causing the rattle and would call me with a quote. 2 weeks later they called me and said it's probably is your phasers and it would cost $3500 to fix. I was already committed so I said "ok". A week later they called me and said i need a new engine and it would cost $11.800. I thought that was too high so I called Ford Montebello and they said it would be $8997 tax = $9567. I decided to get my truck back and take it somewhere else. They wanted to charge me $650 to give me truck back. I thought that was unfair and got them to give it to me for $350. They mentioned they did an oil change. I asked the mechanic if he did change my oil filter and he said "no". However on the invoice it stated oil filter change and showed that they put the wrong oil in my truck. I just wanted to get out of there as fast as possible. On my drive home the truck couldn't pick up speed and my check engine light came on. Basically I took a perfect running truck there for preventative maintenance and I got a non functioning truck back. I feel like I got taken advantage of and they sabotaged my truck. Please help me.

MKx new tires

Seta was excellent. She gets the job done, no matter how easy or difficult it is. We ask for Seta every time we go to Star Lincoln in Glendale. She is the best!!

Excellent experience

First time doing business with a Ford dealer and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I came to the dealership and was greeted by Mark. I was looking for an SUV with more room than what we had now — BMWs all are pretty small when you have a toddler and a car seat. Even the X5 is not that big. Plus the trunk space was small. Anyway enough about how BMW is lacking, let’s get back to the quality cars that Ford has. Mark shows me a few vehicles. I looked at a Lincoln Navigator. Fantastic car but a little too big and really unnecessary for us to spend that kind of money when we have a toddler who is about to start a pricey westside preschool. So the navigator was out. Mark also showed me the Lincoln Nautilus — great size, plush interior, very comfortable and a smooth ride. I liked it. I also looked at a Ford Explorer and a Ford Escape. Both nice cars also but man after sitting in that Nautilus I was hooked. So now that I had a car in my scope, Mark and I got down to the numbers. Best experience I’ve had with a car salesman. No nonsense. No back and forth for hours trying to make a deal. The price was right, I got a great deal on the car I wanted and done deal. Definitely recommend this place and definitely ask for Mark when you get there. He’ll take good care of you.

Worst Service Ever Experiened

I wasn't planning on writing this review but as I keep finding issues related to my car being serviced at Star Ford last summer I feel I should let others be aware as it continues to infuriate me. In July 2018 I took my 2018 Shelby GT350 with 7k miles in to have the engine replaced, it had a mechanical failure which apparently isn't an uncommon thing with these vehicles. It took nearly 3 weeks for Star Ford to even get around to inspecting the car and having Ford approve a new engine via warranty, I had to call in regularly to see what was happening as their level of contact was rather minimal. After 6 weeks of the car being down I go to pick it up. This is what I find: 1) A nick in the driver door handle. 2) A nick in the dashboard. 3) A scrape on the rear bumper. 4) The interior was absolutely FILTHY with trash in it from working on the car and a layer of dust from presumably having the windows down for weeks at a time. 5) The driver side wiper was mis-adjusted too high and missing the cap on the nut. Needless to say for a premier car by Ford I was thoroughly disappointed. Now over time I have noticed other issues related to their work such as: 1) Damaged washer fluid hose from removing the hood. 2) Improper clips over the battery cover. 3) Steering wheel came loose while driving! For some reason they had to replace the clock spring behind the steering wheel when the car was in their hands, they obviously didn't properly tighten down the steering wheel nut. This is a serious one and could've resulted in an accident. Frankly I am surprised the engine is even bolted in correctly at this point (maybe it isn't), needless to say I would avoid their service department at all costs. Maybe their sales team is fine but this would be the worst experience I've ever had with a dealer in regards to service.

Dismayed by so many positive reviews but I’d be remiss not to warn you of the service department and the flat out refusal of management to deal with mistakes. Perhaps buying a car here is a decent experience. But my daughter’s car broke down after they did routine maintenance and failed to tighten an air filter cover. And their response was even worse than the shoddy work. Take a car in that works fine and watch your loved one get stranded with not a finger lifted and no return calls from a coward general manager (after three voice mails) and you’ll feel as driven to sound the alarm as I do. We go WAY out of our way to avoid this place.

The reviews for this dealership other than at this site are overwhelmingly negative. Here's my list: 1. They broke a fully functioning car that was in for routine maintenance. 2. They did not respond with urgency when that car broke down in heavy traffic (thank god I had AAA). 3. They made no effort to even adjust the bill for the mistake they admitted. 4. The coward general manager did not return 4 calls. Don't put your family in jeopardy by going anywhere near this dealership.

Service Manager took too long to respond. Sat waiting twice for a response to questions. Not in the mood to buy. Have a check ready to pay in full.
