As an ASE-certified technician with over 30 years of experience in the automotive repair industry, I typically handle the necessary services for my vehicles. However, due to frequent travel for work, I had to rely on a dealership service department for my wife’s 2016 Nissan Rogue. The issue we needed addressed was a noise coming from the rear when applying the brakes. My wife dropped off the vehicle, and later received a call from Brandon, the service advisor, who provided an estimate for the brake repair along with a "wish list" of other recommended services based on the mileage. Brandon stated that the rear brake pads and rotors needed replacement. Given my background, I asked him a few key questions: Would the car still stop if the brake pads were replaced only, and were the rotors worn below minimum thickness? Brandon assured to my wife and me, that the car would stop and that the brake rotors were not below the minimum thickness. I requested Brandon send me a photo of the rotor, which he did. However, the rotor was shown on a workbench, and I was left wondering—who disassembles parts before work has been authorized? We decided to authorize the brake pad replacement based on the information we received. About 30 minutes later, my wife received another call from Brandon, stating that the technician refused to replace just the brake pads because they felt the car wouldn’t be safe unless both the pads and rotors were replaced. This change in approach is clearly scare tactic, and unfortunately, it worked. My wife ended up agreeing to having the Brake Pads and Rotors replaced. Additionally, there were several "urgent" recommendations based on Brandon’s evaluation, including a cabin air filter, engine air filter, spark plugs, and wiper blades—items that were all replaced just 2 months ago. This only added to my skepticism about their recommendations. In summary, I failed to keep a closer eye on the brake wear of the car, and Scott Clark Nissan took full advantage of that. I deeply regret trusting them with our vehicle. Shame on us for not being more vigilant, and shame on them for their poor service and the unnecessary pressure tactics they employed. I will not be returning to Scott Clark Nissan for any future service needs.

We do not offer a service to replace brake pads only, as we believe it's essential to ensure the entire brake system is functioning properly. In your case, the vehicle's rotors were worn to a point where replacement was necessary to guarantee safe braking performance. Our technician's recommendation to replace both the pads and rotors was based on industry standards and best practices. Regarding the communication, we apologize if our service advisor's approach came across as pushy. We strive to provide transparent and necessary repairs. We did offer not to perform any work on the vehicle, but your wife authorized the repairs based on our recommendations. We have documentation and proof of the needed repairs, that we sent to you and it seems we have a disagreement on the necessity of the work performed. We understand that you may have concerns, but we stand by our technician's assessment and the work done. We appreciate your business and hope that, despite this experience, you will consider us for future service needs. We are happy to continue a conversation to come with a resolution to your concern if you would like to reach back out and be willing to see the images we have of your vehicles brake system prior to repair. I took my car in for a recall to Scott Clark Nissan. They called me yo let me know. When I got there Nigel helped and said it would be a lot less time than I was originally told and he was right. It took only 1 122 hours vs 4. The work was fine great. Got the car back cleaner. Everything’s great. Nigel helped greatly. Excellent in every way.

I bought a new truck in February 2025. The finance manager Brandon was very rude and pushy. He was by far the worst finance guy I have ever delt with. Finally, I had to tell him to stop his crap, or I would walk. He over charged me by 2000 dollars. It took me over 30 days to get my money back. Watch Brandon he is a slick willie. Then it took over 90 days for me to get a tag. When I would call the title department, I would leave a message they would not return my call. When I did get to talk with someone, they made excuses and gave me the run around no help at all. When I call the office manager he talked with me once and after that he would not return my calls. I call Nissan and they got involved and after week of them working with Scott Clark I got a tag. This is by far the worst dealership I have ever delt with from start to finish. I have drove Nissans for over 40 years great product. All I can say is buyers be careful when dealing with these people watch them close.

Nigel was very professional and empathetic to my point of view as he explained everything and advised me to review the scheduled maintenance in my owner's manual. I appreciate that--he is a good guy. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is because the online coupon could be done better. From a customer's stand point the small print is like the practice known as "hidden fees."---but that is not his fault at all. Thanks Nigel for your part you gave 5 star service. Tell Mo that I really appreciate him too.
