Love my RL

by Happy Camper from Kansas City, MO on Fri Oct 12 2007

Bought the car used. Vehicle is extremely reliable. Absolutely no problems. I enjoy the little extras and plan to drive it for years. When I search for used cars again, I will absolutely bypass the overpriced Toyotas and concentrate on unappreciated Acuras. Much more car for the $

I wasn't expecting such a great car.

by Mojowoikin from Louisville,Ky on Mon Apr 27 2009

Bought the car used, I will never buy new again. This is a great car with fantastic features. I have read some reviews dogging the RL for "lack of power" and I can't understand what they mean. This car has WAY more than ample power for anybody other than stoplight to stoplight racers.......I don't think this car was made for that. Anyway, grat car, reliable.....and really good looking to boot.

Excellent value for $$$

by Eastie from the Head from on Sat Mar 22 2014

I bought this model used 8 years ago with 58K miles. I got 169K so far and it runs like brand new. Most reliable car I ever owned. Solid engine, change oil and filter every 3K good to go for another 100K. Major work none so far. Replaced original radiator a few months ago. ABS sensors need replacing. Can't ask for a better value.

The best car I have ever owned

by Cash from PALM HARBOR FL on Mon Jul 16 2018

I baleive that Acura is making one of the best vehicles on the market. My Acura drove like a champion. People noticed the quality style of the Rl and commented on its looks. The interior designe made the car desirable to drive. I would never need anything more out of a car. All and all I have no complaints and give the car two thumbs up.

Our Take on the 1998 Acura RL

Getting lost would be rather difficult in the 1998 Acura 3.5RL sedan, which now comes with an optional in-dash, satellite-based navigation system.

The car always knows where it is, and the system is capable of guiding the occupants anywhere they want to go.

Although this option has been available in California and the East Coast, it's new this year to the Midwest and Texas. New areas are being added as digitized maps become available for the navigation system's database.

For 1998, the navigation system is one of several new features on the sedan. The 3.5RL, which replaced the top-of-the-line Legend sedan two years ago, is the flagship of Acura, Honda's luxury division.

The car has a new, sportier... Read More
