Classic look
had to think about trading it in, but it had held its value so a trade made sense. Car is extremely comfortable and it was a wonderful ride

One of the nicest cars i've ever owned.
This car is a nice mid-range luxury car. I've owned it for 7 years and it still runs like new. It's been one of the most reliable cars i've ever owned. Smooth ride, nice comfy interior, and lots of power. I've never had problems with this car ever.

Great car
The car is loaded with options that I don't how work yet like everything voice activated. The only drawback is the gas mileage is in the middle to upper twenties but the research I did showed that the utterly reliable.

I should have stayed with MERCEDES BENZ!!
I purchased my 2010 Acura RL in 2014 "Certified" from the Acura Dealer with 36k miles, now one year later it has 45k miles. No accidents and one owner who took good care of the car, serviced at the dealer always. At 40k miles it developed 3 squeaks and creeks, first one was at the gear shifter under the wood console trim every time the car accelerated or braked or went over any size bump it would squeak loudly and even worse in cold weather as the drivetrain has movement in any car. It was fixed with quite tape by the dealer at no charge and saving me a couple hundred dollars. The other 2 squeaks are the glove box (which is held by 2 strings, really!) and drivers window(also held in place by cables the dealer has told me, not sure how rigid that is). Which the dealer contacted the Regional Acura Rep. to have these approved to be resolved under the Certified Warranty, but the Rep. declined that request. If I wanted to fix these 2 areas with no guarantee of resolving the noises it would be $950.00 including parts & labor. Now for the car itself the seats are very thick and comfy for me, in a time when manufactures are getting skimpy with seat padding and comfort, it is one of the reasons I purchased the car. It has a ton of technology and the GPS is the easiest I've used in a car. The All Wheel Drive is the loudest and most vibration feedback I have ever had in any car or even more than my GMC Sierra pickup. When stopped at a red light the wheel vibrates in the RL. The voice recognition is only a non working novelty that is difficult to use and repeating constantly. Never used it after the first day or two due to the system constantly asking to repeat everything. The Bluetooth has a design flaw that should have been resolved with an update of software by the manufacture long ago. When I place a call on my iphone 6 or any phone the Bluetooth does not engage until the person receiving the call speaks, so this means I am constantly trying to catch up the conversation from HELLO, HELLO, ANYONE THERE? But also you cannot hear if the call is ringing, busy signal or dropped unless you put the phone to your ear and listen. Just annoying and defeats the purpose of Bluetooth. Never had this problem with any of our other cars. My Mercedes Bluetooth worked flawlessly and could hear the ringing right from the start of the call. The auto dimming mirrors do not work at all, there is a switch on the rear view interior mirror but it does nothing to cut the glare of headlights in back of me or the sideview mirrors. The paint on the car is micro thin and scratches with fingernails or any light touch of jewelry etc., right down to the primer. In addition the clearcoat is of a lesser quality as it hazes and clouds easily. The plastic clips in the engine compartment are one time use as they break easily, in comparison Mercedes are metal clips and never break. The antenna for Sirius satellite radio loses the signal easily. The Mercedes never loses a signal without a concrete obstructionThe other concerns have been addressed mostly by other reviews, climate control has no override for one control, so both have to be adjusted. The channel selector for the radio is on the passenger side, why not sure? No Rainsense wipers on a 54k car new? But it does have headlights that move with direction. The sensors in the door handles don't work well in the cold or not at all with a glove on and do activate when washing the car? I know I may sound petty and especially after talking about Mercedes, one of the reasons I bought the Acura was to get away from the stigma of Mercedes elites, I did not own a top Mercedes it was a 2009 used CLK that they retired that line and 2009 was the last year for CLK model and paid the same amount of money as the Acura used. But now I see Mercedes really does pay attention to the details and use higher quality materials, plus it exceeded the Acura brand in every category, I am going back to Mercedes and staying! Acura just doesn't pay attention to the small details in there cars it seems to me. To much plastic on plastic mountings that give over time. Heck the center console opens on plastic hinges and the glove box drops down on strings!! I don't need an engineering degree to know it won't last in a car that flexes and is in motion. Now I need to wait another 6 months until I can trade this car in at my Benz dealer.

Excellent... for the Right Price
I have owned this vehicle for one year now. I purchased it used in pristine condition (under 40k miles). If you can get this car for 25k or less it is an excellent deal. The exterior isn't much of a looker but the interior is superbly quiet due to 5mm thick glass and active sound cancellation speakers. The leather is a high quality with dual climate control and heated and cooled front seats. It also has an automatic rear sunshade which is unnecessary but adds to the sense of luxury. I get kick out of it every time. I couldn't be more happy with scoring such quality at the price. This car may be lacking if you paid 50k for it, but getting it for half the price you will surely come out on top. I must say the 3 biggest downfalls of this car are #1 Poor fuel economy #2 Poor rear legroom #3 Very limited trunk space. I have no kids so these problems don't affect me much but beware if you are planning on frequent rear passengers or need of ample trunk space.

Cheaper & it shows
I have owned 4 Acuras in the last 11 years. I had an '02 MDX - Terrific Car sold it with 125,000 trouble free miles because my wife wanted a new car I had an '04 TL my son drove for 80,000 trouble free miles & sold when he moved to NYC I still have an '06 RL - Terrific Car, has about 70,000 trouble free miles on it, gets almost 21 mpg with mixed driving. The HVAC controls default to one temp, but one has the option to use dual zone, The phone system & voice recognition is excellent. The fit & finish is excellent. I purchased a 2010 RL in 2011 with about 7,000 miles on it. It was in perfect shape, however, upon closer inspection, the Body and interior has been cheapened, as in no "chrome" inserts along the convex creases in the bumpers and fenders, no automatic fob sensors to unlock upon contact in all the door handles, the HVAC has dual temp controls which must be changed individually, there is no one overriding temp set control, the phone and voice recognition system are cludgy and hard of hearing, the gas mileage is 2 mpg lower than the '06 (I get about 18.2mpg) due possibly to shift points in the transmission being changed. The seats don't adjust to the same ergonomic positions as my '06, possibly due to subtle changes in the dash relative to seat positions, my antenna is weaker so I lose my XM signal consistently, as well as some FM stations have some static distortion. I have brought these concerns up with my excellent dealer, and after they researched them, they have found everything works within the factory specs, but the performance is definitely unacceptable in this price group, and especially compared to my '06. Makes me want to look at other manufacturers offerings more closely when I make my next buy, in about a year.

Disappointed with 2010 RL
This is my fifth Acura (2 TL's - wife & 2 RL's me) but the most uncomfortable one as far as the front seats are concerned. No matter how much I play with the adjustments, I am uncomfortable and constantly have to shift in my seat so that my back does not hurt. Also I do not see much of any difference between 2010 RL and the TL models. The cargo space is pitiful for a $50K car and the back center seat is really very poorly designed. The phone system is another disaster. It is not a very "smart" one in that it dos not understand instructions unless repeated a few times. Also it is impossible to input names and numbers manually. Everything has to be done by voice commands which is frustrating. Now that I have used this car for 2 months I am sorry to have bought it. If you want to stick with Acura buy a TL instead. Acura seems to have lost their touch for perfection and luxury and I am at a loss as to why they have degraded down the RL so much? My other two RL's (2001 & 2005) felt so much more comfortable and luxurious.

need more attention
I had this car while comparing used Lexus GS350 and new 2010 TL. The discounted price is now around 43000 with tech pkg. with this price, you could buy used lexus GS350 or bMW 5 series. But this car is giving lots of feature as much as those cars. Also, it is providing quite good ride on the curve as well. TL was doing same thing with cheppy interior and more sportic ride.
