Great Car

Car has more power than all its competitors. Nice interior and even nicer exterior It came 2nd in European Car of the Year competition and price isn't astronomically high. So, all in all a great car.

So much car for little money

These cars go up against some of the biggest established hitters in the already saturated mid-size luxury segment, and I believe that they actually come out ahead. They go up against the likes of the BMW 3-Series, the Mercedes C-Class and the Audi A4, and styling wise, these are the best. From the front, nothing looks like the Giulia. With the Tri-Lobe front end and agressive lower fascias, these are amazing to look at. Standard you get Bi-Xenon Projector headlamps, LED turn indicators, driving lights, tail lamps and rear turn indicators and side mirror indicators. You also get remote start, Keyless Enter n' Go Smart Key access as well as a host of other features. Inside, regardless if you go with the standard sedan, opt for the Ti Lusso or Sport or go all out with the Quadrifoglio, you will be amazed at the level of refinement and comfort. An elegant, sweeping dash sits low, to provide great outward visability and has a low-glare top, large, easy to read instruments and trip computer, great steering wheel design with the Engine Start button mounted directly on it, Ferrari style! Speaking of Ferrari style, if you opt for the Sport package, you get an amazing set of milled aluminum shift paddles that look like they came directly from Ferrari (because they did!) and are mounted on the steering column, not the wheel, so they stay in place when turning the vehicle, and this is important. Power comes from a standard 2.0L MultiAir Direct Injection Turbo 4 cylinder that makes 280HP @5200RPM and 306Lb/Ft of torque between 2000 and 4000 rpm, depending on the DNA selection. 0-60mph comes in 5.1 seconds and reaches a top speed of 149mph. Gas mileage is 23 City/31 Highway with a combined average of 26mpg. Expect to use 3.8 gallons per 100 miles and spend approximately $1600/year in fuel, assuming 15,000 miles per year with gas costing $2.899/gallon.

Sexy car!

Took a 2017 Giulia for a test drive earlier today. Very impressive. Fast and tight, similar to what BMW 3 series used to be before they decided to switch to electric steering and 4 cylinders. Car handled great, I only had it up to 50mph, very sharp dynamics and absolutely the sexiest car in the segment. Seats were good but different version offers better bolster support. The car initially hesitated and then jerked from a get go. This only happened once so not sure what was the problem. What I did notice is that the brake pedal is too far to the left of the gas pedal, you almost have to plan to reach it, not very ergonomic placement. Similarly, the gear shift is in the center of the console which makes it awkward to reach, need it to be positioned more to the left so that it is within easy reach of a driver. The center display didn't really show anything since there was no navigation in this version. The backup camera is tiny compared to mainstream vehicles like Ford Fusion. All in all, I enjoyed the test drive and may potentially buy it one day once reliability is determined. Base price starts at around $45K and goes up from there.

The Alfa Romeo Giulia Means Business

I recently had an opportunity to drive the 2017 Giulia Quadrifoglio, and it was hands down the most thrilling sedan I've ever driven (even more so than the Maserati Quattroporte GTS). Comfort-wise, the seats are aggressively bolstered and take some getting used to. While great for short commutes around town, they might be too much for a cross-country adventure. Power was raucous and nearly insane. Having mashed the gas from a complete stop in Normal mode (without launch control), the Giulia Quadrifoglio warped from 0-60 in under 4 seconds. If you stay out of the throttle, it's actually well-mannered and not overwhelming. The Giulia Quadrifoglio is an overall winner in my book, and I encourage you to test drive the Quadrifoglio or any other Alfa Romeo right now because it's more important than whatever you're doing at the moment.

Sexy exterior, nice interior, new model year

The Giulia (base and Ti models) are sexy looking, no doubt. Took one for a nice spin, kept it over night and had a good time. Issues I had... 1. Too much hesitation in A and N mode, A is almost unbearable! Turbo lag is one thing, this just seemed to really have too much hesitation for a sports car. 2. Not enough feedback in the steering 3. Stalled out twice (not the auto off/on feature), just rough idle and died. 4. Unknown issues since it is a first year production, reliability is unknown. Overall I was pleased with the car, but not enough to buy it. Maybe next year after more reviews are available, and the old "Alfa always in the shop" syndrome is either confirmed, or squashed. It is a head turner for sure!

Great styling, definitely a eye turner.

Just a great and powerful car. Can't believe they haven't made this model since 1967. Handling is impressive and has the classic front of Alfa

Italian M3+

Alfa Romeo's entry into the super sedan market is intense from every viewing and performance angle. It is an agile athlete with endless forced induction power. The Ferrari derived 2.9TT motor is a marvel of technology and is a step above the current German offerings. Interior appointments are amazing and the double-stitched leather interior is a step above in the class of cars compared to the Cadillac V-series and BMW M3.
