Swanky car, but at what cost?

I owned a 2017 Alfa Romeo Giulia TI for a total of 3.5 months. Yes, 3.5 months. During that time, it had been to the dealer SIX times. And look, I'm not one of those people that takes my car to the shop for any little thing. I try to fix what I can myself to avoid the high cost and pure slowness of dealer repairs. Boy, was I in for a nightmare with this car. First of all, I did buy it used. But it was certified pre-owned, barely driven, and in excellent condition. Totally mechanically sound when I drove it off the lot. Days later, the sunroof started malfunctioning. Wouldn't close at all. Had to totally be replaced. Dealer took a week and a half to fix it. Couple weeks after that, the car wouldn't start. So I replaced the battery. Still wouldn't start. Took it back to the dealer; turns out it had an ignition computer fault that needed to be replaced. There goes another week without the car. Fast forward a few more weeks, and my right headlight stops working. Went totally kaput. No DRL, no turn signal, no high or low beams. Took it back again, had to replace the fixture. Another week gone. (Yes, I had a bad FCA dealer. That's another story). The last straw for me was when the car - once again - wouldn't start. That same ignition computer fault came back. Maybe a shoddy installation job the first time? Who knows. Either way, I was fed up. So I sold the car that day (literally) and bought myself something cheaper/more reliable (a Kia). The amount of time and money I dumped into the Alfa over 3.5 months is asinine. I caution you to tread lightly with this brand, especially earlier model years (2017-2018). Tl;dr: Car was fast and fun - definitely a head-turner, but not worth the money it'll cost you in repairs over time.

55k, no issues, still in loved

This Ti, lusso, awd is absolutely fun to drive. When I first test droved the car, I thought I was 20yrs younger...fun on the country roads. Handles winter road ice and snow conditions.

Loved the Car When It Was Working

This is a great car with excellent performance, handling, and styling. I love driving it but have had way too many trips to the service department.

Most dynamically involving car I’ve ever owned

The Alfa Romeo Giulia (AKA Alfa 952) is a sweetheart on the road, making the most of what may seem like modest power ( 280 HP/. 306 Ft/lbs torque) compared to other cars in the segment—But make no mistake, as the former owner of 6 BMW’s, this car feels much more light on its feet—driving over the mountain from Los Gatos to Santa Cruz California this car dances like a buff ballerina through the hairpins and sweepers, and the standard Brembo brakes give you the confidence to wind up the turbo, knowing that the stopping ability matches the torquey dollops of acceleration that are just a slight blip of the throttle away—I recommend optioning the car with paddle shifters and sport package, but skip the heavy sunroof to save weight, and keep the center of gravity low, where it should be...

Fun & Unique

I used to drive a 2012 Mercedes C300, but she was getting old. Her time came to retire, so I cross-shopped the BMW 3-series, Audi A4, Lexus IS, and Alfa Romeo Giulia. After test driving all the aforementioned cars, the minute I got into the Alfa (TI RWD), I knew it was the one. There's just something special about driving an Italian sports car compared to the others in this class (don't get me wrong, they're all plenty sporty). Mercedes/BMW/Audi/Lexus just feel mass-produced, and it seems like everyone drives one, especially here in Miami. The Alfa is unique, turns heads at every corner, and gives you a greater sense of pride over other luxury brands. Safety, technology, and performance are all top-of-the-line in this car. Seriously, the handling is incredible. I've never driven a car that felt so precise when maneuvering. Plus, the red leather interior is stunning. I absolutely recommend the Giulia! (or any Alfa Romeo, really)

Very stylish car inside and out!

Did a lot of research on this car and it did not disappoint. The best car for the money. Very fun to drive and gas mileage is reasonable.

Brilliant sports sedan

Checks the boxes for sport sedan oriented drivers better than anything out right now. The price point for this is a bargain. Not a fake.

Reliable, High Performance Head turner!

This car is reliable, quick, sporty and still practical. The parts are all high quality. I found it easy to work on and yet it is very exotic. It is the most unique and satisfying experience you can buy for under 30k. I am amazed that more people don't buy these!

Fastest, best engineered automobile I've owned ever

My last car. Its interior steel chassis is so superior, it is the chassis of the 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee. This steel chassis is, by the way, the last steel on the vehicle except the brake disc. All alloy aluminum, carbon, plastic or glass.
