2023 Cadillac XT4 consumer reviews

Not happy with this car at all, it feels like the transmission is slipping, I have had it in the shop at least 10 times and told the same thing “ this is how the car preforms, there is nothing wrong with it”. I do have to say my dealership has been great but until they find something wrong I am stuck with it Thank goodness it’s a lease!

same as other reviews, the car sputters and jerks as if its got bad fuel or a bad transmission. The dealership acknowledges the problem but can't fix it because there's no "check engine" light to show them whats wrong. I'm going to take it in this weekend for a trade. It's undrivable compared to my nice smooth Volvo.

Driving down road doing speed limit on bumpy road my head should not be hitting the headliner when I’m 5’4. Only 9k miles on car. So brand new 23 off the show room floor. When hitting a pothole- its hits realllly hard and then fishtails while I fly up out of my seat and hit the headliner. Kinda like a truly expensive ride at the fair. Dealership said this is normal. Whaaaaaaaat? Taking it in now because the check engine light is on and the air is blowing warm. Breaks might be squeeling too. Are these ppl on crack? Stereo is xxxxty also. Very unempressed.

Really like the car! BUT, BAD GAS MILEAGE! 14 CITY, 26 HWY.. ESTIMATE MILAGE 23 CITY, 30 HWY... NOT EVEN CLOSE.. 235 HP, TURBO! IS ANYBODY HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM?

Brand new 2023 Cadillac XT4 It rides rough. The car jerks and sputters when accelerating in stop and go traffic in the city. I've complained several times & brought the car in for service 5 times for the same jerking and sputtering issue and was told the computer said the car had no issues. I was told to contact GM and they'd help me, but they said there was nothing they can do because the mechanic said nothing was wrong with the car. The car is a xxx. Any first rate mechanic can tell there's something wrong with this car. Thank god I only leased it and I'm not on the hook for the full purchase price. The car will be turned back in once the lease is up. This is my first and will be my last GM Cadillac. Worst purchase ever. No more GM's for me.

It rides extremely rough & sputters & jerks, When it's cold & driving under 30 mph in the city!! I've complained several times & brought the car in for service 3 times for the sputtering & in all cases was told -- the computer says there is no problem My car has only 2000 miles on it & I have to say, it's the worst driving car, I've ever had in 60 years of driving! This was my first American car in 40 years & boy am I sorry I made that choice!!

I bought a new XT4 In December, had previously owned an XT5. I have horrible buyers remorse. Right away realized the cargo area is much smaller than the 5, which I knew, but didn't realize how much until I packed it for a trip. My first trip back to the dealer was for the lift gate not closing and staying closed. The next time was for a warning that I needed the transmission serviced. It had less than 10,000 miles on it!!! First time they replaced the accumulator......still had problems and it was lunging into gear after stopping. Now it's in the shop and was told it needs a new transmission. It's still in service for repair as I write this!!!! I would not recommend this vehicle...... This is not Cadillac quality that I paid for. I have zero confidence in this vehicle at this point. Yes, it's under warranty, but they are going to put another transmission in it that was manufacterd for the XT4.......very frustrated

6000 miles and already been in for service failures twice, once via a flat bed. The service department was very helpful and resolved the problems, just disappointed that I had two failures in less than a year.

Only have the XT 4 for a month. Really enjoy it. Gas mileage could be better but everything else is what I anticipated. Priced just slightly more than "lower priced SUVs."

The Cadillac XT4 is a total xxx. They concentrated more on interior features, which many don't even work, like the heated seats. I rented this car in Colorado in December when temps were in 20's and heated seats would have been nice to have, but I found out later, Cadillac didn't purchase the chips for this option, even though there are buttons on the dash for it. The car had less than 10K miles on it and the dash was already throwing a warning that the remote battery was almost dead. The high-beam brights would come on randomly without warning and would not allow driver to turn them off. With another car in front of me and cars coming towards me, having high-beams on caused some issues. Hatchback storage area in back is so small it barely fit 2 standard size suitcases. I am an American and a patriot, but I would never buy an American made car and after driving this vehicle, I would never buy a Cadillac, ever.
