Somewhat disappointed
Great looking car, but several things are disappointing! AC is marginal at best in Arizona the ventilated seats help but overall not very good. Eight speed transmission is jerky and doesn't seem to want to let go of low gears in low speed traffic. Rear camera backup diagram works intermittently.

Love it but with a couple of issues.
I love it but do miss the CD player. The two wheel drive is a bit rougher ride than the all wheel which rides like a dream but that is to be expected. I am currently having a problem with the backup grid. The camera works great but often the grid doesn't show when I put it in reverse. Apparently it is a difficult problem to diagnose and solve and that is the only reason I didn't give it a five star all the way. I really love the visibility. This lovely car definitely meets my needs.

This Car Has It All
This car not only looks great on the outside but gets even better when you get inside of it. The inside feels like you?re staying at the Ritz Carlton but it gets even better when you drive it. It?s smooth and handles well.

Most bang for the buck I?ve ever gotten.
This car is beautiful, has room for two 90lbs German Shepherds, gets 30mpg on the highway, is very comfortable and very powerful. What?s there not to love about it. I?ve owned many GM are in the past, but this is the best. I even went out and leased an ATS for my wife.

Beautiful, safe, affordable- what's not to love?
I was initially interested in the SRX until I learned they were replace by the XT5 in 2018. I thoroughly researched the 2018 XT5 Premium Luxury for about a year before test driving one and falling instantly in love with it; it's sleek body design, roomy interior, high safety ratings and technology filled interface is enough to win anyone over, but driving one definitely completes the experience. It's quite powerful for only being a V6, extremely quiet when on the freeway, gets decent gas mileage for an SUV, and is very comfortable. I can honestly say there's nothing I would change about it and I would suggest it to anyone looking for a midsize SUV that combines luxury with space, power and comfort- all at a very reasonable price.

The most dangerous vehicle I've ever driven.
Having the Cadillac name I was expecting a quality vehicle. What I found was disappointing. During my first drive I found that the hidden shift buttons on the back of the steering wheel will shift the transmission with it set to "Drive" or "Manual". I accidentally touched the down shift side on the freeway suddenly finding myself in a much lower gear than I needed with traffic behind me making emergency moves to miss the suddenly slowing Cadillac. That was just he first of many issues. Next was the cruise control. If you gently touch the cruise + side you accelerate 1 mile an hour per touch, like every other cruise control I've used. But with this one hit a bump as you press the button or push a little too hard it adds 5 miles an hour. With traffic around me traveling at 77+ mph and me at 76 I pushed the button to match the flow of traffic. I pushed it too hard and found myself doing 81 mph. A felony in Virginia. The next safety issue is with the windows that are another pressure sensitive issue. With a light touch the windows go up or down as you hold the button down. Press down with more pressure and the windows open completely. Not an issue my Lincoln does the same, but if you press or pull the switch up too far it also goes completely up by itself. This is a hazard for children whose fingers could be severed by the window. God forbid their head got caught in it. Handling of the XT5 is ok but nothing to write home about. The Sport setting stiffens the suspension a bit and cuts down on body roll. Brakes are good. Transmission is an issue. It's an 8 speed automatic. If you live in a fairly flat area you won't mind it. Here in the Virginia mountains with back roads that wind up and down you'll notice the transmission is constantly shifting. Slow down for a corner, shifting, going up a hill, shifting. That's not only uncomfortable but really dulls the performance of the 331 hp engine. So i ended up keeping it in manual most of the time while we drove the back roads of the Shenandoah Valley. The vehicle is loaded with so many gadgets that it really is like driving a video games. Center touch screen OK but I don't like all the in cabin lights during night driving. But that is more my issue as I find this with most of today's cars. Being able to turn off that screen in the middle of the console would be a great plus in my opinion.

Just bought the car and have a lot to learn
Nice looking car, handles well, adaptive cruise control is awesome, navigation is not so good, I don't like the map. There is so much, too much, to learn and it's not very user friendly.

Amazing vehicle.
I have driven Lexus vehicles for the past 20 years. This is my first Cadillac and I love it! Very comfortable vehicle and easy to drive. Not sure about the engine auto shut off yet, very unusual feature.
