Good for another 3 years; a pre-paid headstart.

I wouldn't be selling it if I weren't pressed for cash. I can not afford to insure it or replace the front bumper.

Daily driver

Meets all basic needs for transportation but is quite cramped. Two door couple is a bad idea for a family

Amazing car.

I bought this car when I was 20 years old, & it's a really fun car to drive. As someone who likes the idea of a having a sporty looking car but didn't want to spend a lot of money this was the perfect choice, The only gripe I have is the cup holders make absolutely no sense. I have the ls sport coupe & it's base design looks great to me. I live in the city so you can park this little car anywhere. Also I'm getting about 30 mpg, She's not the best in the winter but It whips in the summer, I plan on putting a little money into it (new paint etc.) & giving it to my kid one day. 9/10

Beyond reliable, Cosmetically Damaged

I LOVE THIS CAR. I have owned 2 overall. I had a 2000 Cavalier coup and drove it until i broke it. I currently have a 2005 Cavalier 4 door. She is super reliable and pretty durable. Unfortunately, this isnt a car you buy because you think it's pretty. We got it used from someone we knew for 800 bucks with 103,000 miles and it has given us value 10 times what we paid. Though cavalier seemed to do a poor job with the exterior paint with all cavs I've owned or seen driven, I will only trade her if i have no choice or if I have the opportunity to get a hatchback crossover for my growing Fam Bam. The ones that I've seen spared the fadding chipping paint job are garage kept ones or ones that were not subject to the elements. Mine has been in Snow (dealing with salt), on the Coast (dealing with salt water), and in the hot hot southern sun. Super Reliable? YES. Care for her and she wont let you down! Is she the not so pretty best friend? Unfortunately yes, but with her, It's all about financial quality not fancy quantity.

MINIATURE TANK!

I love my cavalier. It is my "work" car. I live in the midwest where winter can be quite a problem. My Cavalier handles the snow and ice better than my Ford Escape did. It is great on gas and very reliable. Top notch!

2005 Chevy Cavalier

I bought my car in 2005 and I love it. It has 195,000 miles on it. It has been so good to me. I had a few problems with it but not bad. This car is the best car I ever owned. It is 10 years old and I love it. After all these miles I put on it, Now it is having a bit more problems. I do not want to get rid of it. I love this car. It is the best car ever made, as far as I am concerned. I wish they still made them. I would up grade.. Thanks Chevy for making a great car. I love mine.

First new car

After having driven used cars for the first twenty-five years I finally bought a new car--the 2005 Chevy Cavalier. It has served me well with only a few minor failures such as the speed control and the fuel gauge is messed up after someone rear-ended me (she hit a patch of ice that I had hit moments earlier) with no visible damage except the gauge has never worked since (2013). I've driven the car and pretty much neglect to follow the owner's manual recommendations (after the expiration of the warranty period which was 3 years). It has rarely, if ever, failed to start and the oxygen sensor was probably the biggest replacement part/job I ever had to have done.
