Not much on power

Truck lacked a lot in power, I had the 5 cylinder version and just wasn't happy with it. The truck was very hard on fuel averageing around 12 miles to the gallon. I got better milage on the 1500 models I owened m

Rliable and Useful

I've had the truck for 9 years now. I have driven over 100k miles in it. It has been very reliable. Only one issue that was fixed under warranty affected driving in that time (throttle body was replaced). The Z71 package isn't great for cornering, but the extra ground clearance does come in handy on occasion. The ride is pretty smooth. The 5 cylinder has enough power to make it never feel overly strained even with a moderate load. I like the styling of most of the truck. My only gripe there is the silver plastic inside does look a bit cheap to me. The interior seats and covers are holding up quite well. The seating is fairly comfortable. Backseat space in my crew cab is fine for everyone I've had sit there. Overall a good truck, and I look forward to getting another one in the future.

The car performs great and it only has a few issues with it . The passenger did front seat doesn't move forward or back and the ax only works at full blast.

Great second vehicle

I purchased a used 2008 with 73K miles about a month ago. It replaced a 2003 S-10 ZR that was totaled from a rear ender. The Colorado is working out great paired with a 2016 Traverse and being the grandkids, hockey kids, garbage, and larger item hauler. It's comfortable to ride in, the interior is quiet, it has ample power with the 5 cylinder, and the 4WD seems to work fine, especially important up here in rural northern WI. I think the space in the back of the crew cab is fine, especially considering it's a smaller than a full size truck. No dislikes at this time. Mine is a crew cab, 4WD, with a fiberglass Leer topper.

Great Truck!!

Truck has over 100K. Only routine maintenance has been done and she is still on the road. Get compliments all the time about how good she looks! She's four-wheel-drive and does great in the snow. Very reliable pick up, would highly recommend anyone looking for a truck to consider a Chevy Colorado !

Reliable and ready to go whenever I needed it.

From the outside, it looks small. Once you get inside, it has loads of room. The design is great. It could definitely use a loner bed though.

Used 95k miles

Solid little truck. The 3.7l 5 cylinder is plenty of power for what I need. People who have 8 cylinders who would drive this will say it is under powered. I don't feel it is. It is a tiny truck though. Small inside. But it's a good compromise. I wanted a truck but had a car budget. So this is a good choice. The only issues I have seen so far, and i read online it's common and people spend tons of money trying to replace parts to fix it with no luck. Sometime when starting, the truck revs then almost dies, revs then almost dies, revs then almost dies, then its fine. Guys in the colorado facebook group just said to learn to live with it. Other than that I love the sun roof, xm radio, car starter, and I love how its a small truck with big ol tires. I live in vermont and the 4x4 with winter tires sticks to the road very well. My recomendation is if you are looking at this truck, get the quad cab. Unless you need a bigger box. My extended cab is so cramped.

Great all around American truck...

I was one of the lucky one in Vegas to find a 6 years old truck , 09 Chevy Colorado Z71 , with only 30k miles close to mint condition. I spent $1k upgrading to leather seat cover, touch screen bluetooth car dash with back up cam, and a Heads up unit. So far I love the ride and practically of this truck. The truck package came with the lift kit, chrome package, and tow package. The Colorado looks better than the Tacoma and Frontier. I had no problems mechanically so far other minor stuff like replacing a broken power window knob. I always get compliments from the truck.

Very Satisfied

I bought my 2008 Colorado Z71 LT Crew Cab in November 2007. Being in Canada a 4x4 is pretty much a necessity and this little truck has been great. It has always received complements on it's look and is fine for transporting a couple of teenagers but it isn't a family sized vehicle. Mechanically I haven't had any problems other than a couple of turn signal bulbs and at $23 per bulb shame on GM. The truck now has 110,000 Km on it (Approx 70,000 miles) and it now needs rear brake replacement which I don't consider to be abnormal wear. It has lots of power and the retriever loves the back seat. I would recommend this vehicle and intend to drive it for at least another five years.
