Hello everyone I bought the 2023 Chevy Colorado Trail

Hello everyone I bought the 2023 Chevy Colorado Trail Boss brand new in June of 2023 with the thought that with a new truck I wouldn't have issues for years and it would reliable as I use it as a work truck and need it everyday... I couldn't have been more wrong. I could write a textbook with the amount of issues not only mechanically but also with the technology. Please don't waste your money, the truck is garbage quality, unreliable, it looks great but I don't trust it. They don't build things how they used to. Just to list a few examples, electric seat won't work, screen dimer glitches and set to max brightness so driving around at night is positively dangerous, constantly disconnecting from my phone (imagine driving to an address using the carplay maps on the screen then everyday your phone disconnects and you have to look at your tiny phone screen maps to directions because your truck wont connect at all, also won't connect fot music all the time... and it's an iphone. Every time you lifted the hood it messed up the window seal and pushed everything out of alingnment so water leaked where it shoudn't, currently truck is in the shop getting entire new radiator and radiator hose due to coolant leak, automatic transmission is not smooth with occasional rough gear changes, quite certain there is an oil leak as I've had to top it up many times, had it in auto wheel mode and it locked itself into 4 wheel drive while +30 degrees celcius in July, then all it said on the screen was service 4 wheel drive, the tool bin built in the tail gate was out of alignment and kept opening on its own. sliding back window is loose and doesnst feel like a good seal, service engine light has randomly come on and off, one time the truck was crazy load banging noise from the engine on a rainy day, shut it off overnight and worked fine the next day.. see what I mean. How can I trust this truck to be reliable and safe, i should have stuck with my old 2006 nissan frontier which had 300,000 KM, over its lifetime all I had to do was regular maintenance and change the alternator.... the chevy colorado is awful and I hope anyone reading this buys something else.

Bought the truck with 3000 miles on it.

Bought the truck with 3000 miles on it. engine feels strong had no mechanical issues with almost 20,000 miles on it now knock on wood I drive it on 300 mile road trips regularly back and forth to college and with just a few infotainment issues such as Bluetooth not connecting the screen taking over 3 minutes to turn on which are frustrating but not devestating overall for the price this thing should be flawless and not have these basic issues but hasn't left me stranded. (PS don't buy OnStar Wi-Fi it is terrible never works interferes with your service)

Great little truck!

Great little truck! Good looking body style, nice wheels, well done interior, plenty of options including adaptive cruise control in Z71 model. Great alternative to full size pickup. Only one problem so far, module for backup camera has failed and is on back order, so it seems other owners have run into the same problem. Overall, great buy!

This truck has had more electrical.

This truck has had more electrical. Braking, battery draining issues than any vehicle I have ever seen. Although you can also include the 1st Colorado I traded after 2 months before trading it for this one that had even more issues. Had it fixed 3 times for the braking recall and it nearly killed us in traffic when it slammed the brakes on in the middle of moving traffic and shut down. I don't trust it or the repairs done. Never driving it again. Had the truck 10 months now and only put 2000 miles on it because of all the issues and not wanting to trust it on a road trip or winding roads in Arizona.

Good Design - Bad Execution

Wind noise in the cab. Multiple problems that are software related. Left me stranded twice before it had 10,000 miles. Still has problems and of the 4 dealers I've tried, none seem familiar with the issues or how to fix them. Wait a few years before buying one to let them get the bugs and service issues worked out.

2023 Chevy Colorado initial impression

Truck was great for the 1st 300 or so miles. After about 7 months of ownership, the truck has been in and out of the shop 8 seperate times for various electrical issues ranging from side detection faliure to the truck blacking out and dying when driving. It is currently in the shop as the check engine light is back on and the 4x4 has not worked in over a month (its the middle of winter). The truck only has 5,000 miles on it, so it has been in the shop more then it has been on the road

Don’t Buy GM!!!!!

I have been waiting 22 WEEKS for parts to fix my windows and mirror detecters. Same answer every week. Don’t know when they will be available. I had my last Colorado for 8 years without any issues. This is insane!!!!!!!

2023 W/T

Traded in 06 Silverado after 35 years driving full size Trucks and couldn’t be happier with this truck. Exterior styling is great and standard interior equipment in base W/T trim is impressive plenty of power also

second one

In Dec.of 2014 i bought a second gen canyon slt long box. I drove that truck just shy of 200,000 miles and had pulled it another 30 thousand. My 2023 Colorado was made in Sept. of 23. being a later build I haven't had any of the early build problems. I love this truck more than my Canyon. The only issue I had was being shipped without the tool kit to change the spare and my jack was bolted to the truck with a nut requiring a wrench to remove it. I'm 72 and have been driving trucks (mostly chevy) since 1972

GM dropped the ball

GM dropped the ball on these. Best looking truck out there. They changed the entertainment format to force you to do OnStar and data plan. No more owners manual. No low range on LT model. Turn signal and wipers on same arm. No choice in engine. Touch screen headlamp control. I was told it had remote start through the Chevy app it does not. Body panel fit isn't good. Many other things I could get into. I will say I've owned 2 new Camaros (1 still with me) and an 11, 14, and 17 fullsize and a 21 Colorado since 2011, all bought new, and this 23 COLORADO is my last new Chevy I'll ever purchase.
