Overall good car. Some kinks to work on.
I got this car new in 2011. This was the year Chevy released the Cruze, so there may have been some issues that they worked out in the newer versions. But I had a ton of recalls for the 2011. I really like the interior of the car. It's comfortable and great for commuting. Performance- it's pretty slow. Has no pick up. I live in Austin (Hill Country) and it could barely go up the hills. It doesn't have much fancy stuff. I have an LT and it doesn't even have Cruise control (which is ironic with the name Cruze)

The worst car I?ve ever owned
I am the second owner and have owned my 2011 Chevy Cruze Eco since 2015. I bought it with 41k miles on the odometer from Carmax. If not for the extended warranty I added through Carmax, this vehicle would have cost me significantly more than my loan amount in various repairs alone! The turbocharger failed twice, the coolant reservoir leaked once and left a massive puddle in my garage, the valve cover leaked once, the vehicle went into anti theft mode twice which meant having it towed to the dealership and getting the key fobs replaced, and there have been multiple other issues, such as the bypass valve leaking and the air conditioner failing. At this point, I know all the service advisors at my local Chevy dealership on a first name basis due to the frequency of my visits. The vehicle has a unique appearance and looks great for an economy car, but it is not necessarily a flashy design that will turn heads. The Cruze with the 2.0 turbo inline-4 is quicker than the non-turbo version, but the difference is not significant. You will not amaze any passengers with the Cruze?s lackluster power, and odds are you will question yourself any time you attempt to merge on a highway and realize you?re struggling just to pass the vehicles in the slow lane. Interior space is also lacking. Though the Cruze is a 5-seater, it can not comfortably seat 5 average sized adults. The rear seats are far too cramped, especially when it comes to legroom. The interior design is also very plain. Hard plastic aligns nearly every corner of the vehicle, and the seats do not provide the greatest comfort for long trips. I own the 6-speed manual transmission Cruze. Even after changing the transmission fluid with high quality Amsoil fluid, the gear still tends to grind in 2nd gear.

Smooth, powerful, quiet and 5 star safe.
Great overall car. Handling is excellent. Reliable. Economical. Comfortable. Stylish. I would hope if you are in the market for a safe car, you could check out the Chevy Cruze before you choose another car. You will be glad you did.

Clean looking vehicle, runs great and gets good gas mileage. The interior is sharp and has great sound system. I would highly recommend for a first time car owner or student driver.

Car drive great. Very comfortable. Low maintenance if taken care of. Not a big car so it is great when driving and trying to maneuver.
