Long Haul

I just bought this 2012 st1.fwd. Its a nice car over all with the I4....Under powered if your looking at buying this car I would strongly recommend getting the V6.. I put on 33,000 mile on an average year.. for those who really drive, or travel will understand...I have put 2300 miles in this thing in less then 1 month. LOTS of HWY miles. the best mpg I have got with the cruse control on and the eco boost is 26 mpg. the trouble is the I4 cant hold 65mph up hwy inclines without downshifting a lot. For those who know this means lose of gas mileage. I traded my 09 vibe manual shift that got an 33 mpg and combined city driving of 31mpg driving the car like you meant it. with this Equinox and the I4 plan to drive like the grandma causing the traffic jam.

Great Year Around Car

Family used to own a 2005 Dodge Durango. Truck was great but the gas mileage was terrible. And the inside wasnt that big as it was on the outside. 2012 Chevy Equinox 1LT was a perfect family car. The comfort of the car was very roomy in the back and the seats were reliablilty. Performance was little under powered for the AWD 2.4L, chevy has to bump the 4 cyl to 200hp. The exterior was perfect as it was in the interior. Cons: Chevy really needs to make there trucks little bit lighter. Wish Chevy would have there navigation standard for all there cars.

pretty good suv

I have had this suv for almost a month and the gas mileage is great for a car of this size. the only draw back is the controls on the steering wheel is a little small and too close together. While you are driving it is easy to hit the wrong button. But that is a small price to pay. I suggest you buy this car if you want a good size suv that is good on gas and comfort.

Great car for the elderly

For those who have a difficult time exiting a vehicle, this is by far the easiest. My wife and I have a difficult time exiting a convential sedan. The seats in a full size SUV are too high for ease of entry and exit. The Equinox is perfect for both of us. Also, the rearview camera with the large display on the dash is a tremendous improvement over the in-mirror display.
